It's really funny, but I don't check it much since it's so rarely updated.

I quite like Super Effective... I check back once in a blue moon because usually there's two or three new strips by the time I remember to check it.

The long wait between updates never bugged me. He has a life you know :P

I think it's more based on the originals. It just has some aspects of the remakes like gender and Green. But that's just because it's a webcomic that doesn't want to restrict itself to one thing so it has more potential for jokes, but it has things that are clearly Gen 1. The old man, for example. No teachy tv!
