If that's the case, then I see this status update as being a mere "so, did you guys like having Pokemon in the magazine?" It seems more like an online version of those survey cards magazines have in them and therefore doesn't necessarily mean that anything new's been licensed.

Although, Viz Media to have the "Shonen Sunday" label that they could publish RéBurst under if they felt like licensing it.

I assumed Viz was only allowed to publish Shounen Jump titles in their Shonen Jump magazine and Shounen Sunday titles in their Shonen Sunday magazine. Like The Violent Tomboy said, Viz would be have to deal with two companies if they wanted to air a Sunday title in Jump.

Like I said, there WAS NO MANGA PUBLISHED IN IT. Just caps so people will read it. It was just news about releases.

Yeah, the past tense may have been a typo. Unless there was an ad or something.

Sorry, I meant the Shonen Sunday imprint they use when publishing volumes of SS series'; I shouldn't think so late at night xD

I saw the story summary. It's about humans and pokemon fusing? Reminds me of Digimon Frontier. I don't think that kind of pokemon manga would be a big hit...

So...RéBurst? If so, it's got loads of negative reviews on Amazon.co.jp.

Reburst coming to Jump would be weird since Viz already has an online magazine for Sunday.

Viz apparently do publish a heap of Jump SQ titles in their Shonen Jump magazine.
Yeah, Jump SQ and Weekly Jump are far far closer than any Jump title is to Shonen Sunday, and they probably won't be allowed to do this, but they don't stick purely to Weekly Jump titles.

If by "loads" you mean four, then yes, it has "loads" of bad reviews. And all of *those* are just fanboys whining about how it's too "different" from every other Pocket Monsters-related story out there.

I was expecting there to be some fanboy backlash at some point...every fandom has its section that gets butthurt over everything xD

Saying that though, what do you think of RéBurst?
