There's a difference between horrendous photoshops and more realistically portrayed Pokemon.
Pikachu can be given realistic fur texture, shading, more natural eyes, and a more natural appearance without making it a badly photoshopped squirrel.
I'm pretty sure most of us saying this would be a cool idea are picturing Pokemon with the same proportions and features of their original art with more organic texture effects, not the horrendous Eldrich abominations that you find on Google images.
Live Action Pokemon? Nope! Digimon seems a lot more likely.
