Default Meanings of the names Hareta and Mitsumi?

Most of the Pokémon characters' names have fairly straightforward meanings: Hikari means light, Kasumi means mist, and so on. I was just reading Diamond and Pearl Adventure, and I was wondering the same about the names of the main characters. I didn't know of any similar Japanese words that the name could come from, so I looked online, but that didn't help at all. Does anyone know what the names Hareta and Mitsumi mean?

"Hareta" means "has become clear/sunny" (as in weather).

"Mitsumi" I would guess is derived from "mitsu," another reading for hikari/light.

Romaji.org and Wiktionary give hikari as the only romaji for 光.

Then Romaji.org and Wiktionary would be wrong. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about.

So since "mi" can mean "beautiful", the name Mitsumi most likely means "beautiful light". Rather ironic if you consider her past.

"Kaisei" is probably "good weather," drawing off of hare/clear weather.

The "kou" in "kouya" is most likely derived from yet another reading for hikari/light.
