Thread: Generation Five Figures available in USA?

Hey.

I'm new to the Pokemon scene, and was wondering if the USA usually gets the pokemon figures I see online from overseas?

For instance, there are a couple sellers on ebay that are selling Generation Five figures (lot of 29 random) that comes out to cost around $35 when shipping is included.

Is this the cheapest someone in the USA could get these or are there better options available?

Are all of these I see on ebay from one "set", or are there different "sets" or types of the figures?

Any help for a newbie would be appreciated.

I don't know... I don't buy stuff online, to be honest. Still, you could try Amazon, or searching for a Nintendo online store (I think there might be one of those).

I was browsing Pokemon figures on eBay for the heck of it a few weeks ago, and I'm pretty sure I know the set you're talking about. Those are bootlegs. (Deerling was miscolored, Liepard has no markings, Gigalith is colored black, Oshawott has a black nose and blue arms, etc.) eBay has so many bootlegs that it's honestly best to avoid it unless you really know what merch your'e looking for. (Even then, bootlegs can still get by. Just look at all of the bootleg Pokedolls.)

IIRC, the only 5th Gen figures available right now in the US are the bottle cap figures of the starters in the TCG tins. (I believe the next Jakks set is going to have Zorua and Zoroark, but with Jakks... who knows when they'll get around to releasing them.) Since you're going to have to get them online, to name a few good sites, I'd probably recommend these:

If you'd prefer to not order online I'd suggest hitting anime/toy conventions close to your area and/or start stalking TRU around summer, when it's speculated that the BW Jakks figures should pop up there.

Also if you live in NY theres the NYC Nintendo World, and in Florida there's Epcot.

But as to online options, Zenigamegame pretty much pointed out some of the best.
