Gary's Past:
Well, it's not much of about Typhu's past, but this is more of Gary's past. Gary's career as a Pokemon trainer started not when he was ten, like most other trainers start off, but when he was the mere age of eight. See, Gary grew up in a small town in the great land of Jhoto, called Azalea Town. Having his cousin Bugsy inherit the Pokemon Gym at a very young age himself, Gary was constantly overshadowed by his prodigy of a cousin. However, they got along like best friends, and Bugsy being his elder, always watched over him and let Gary play with all of the gym pokemon. Even though Gary seemed to have a bright future with pokemon, he never really saw them as much of anything other than toys.
One day, terror struck the great land of Jhoto, the tiny town of Azalea in particular. Yes, Team Rocket, who had been thought to be defeated some three years before, had arrived on Azalea's doorstep, in a bit of a pinch for an economic rebound. Their for of doing so was by taking Azalea's trademark pokemon, the Slowpoke, and cut their tails off as a delecacy. As disgusting and inhumane as it sounded, they sold for quite a profit, and the villans seemed to have a pretty profitable situation on their hands. They had quickly overpowered Bugsy and all of the very few trainers of the town, such as Kurt, the pokeball craftsman.
Being the naive, curious kid he was, Gary tried sneaking up to the Rockets' temporary base of oporations in the Slowpoke Well, bringing his pet Slowpoke, Pokey, along. However, he accidentally tripped and was about to be beaten by a Team Rocket's Koffing, when this mysterious trainer showed up with his Croconaw, and easily defeated each and every Team Rocket member there. Seeing that Croconaw battle so fiercely, that event had become a turning point in Gary's life. Never before had he seen such heart and soul put into raising a pokemon, and what it took to overcome the toughest opponents. Gary was awestruck, deciding that from that day forth, he too could become such a strong pokemon trainer and defend his town if needed.
Though he never got the chance to thank the mysterious trainer or even say goodbye, Gary will always remember what happened that day, and went to the gym every day with Pokey. There Bugsy taught him the basics, but Gary too was finally blooming as a pokemon trainer, thus making Bugsy's training sessions only slightly beneficial.
~~
Two years had passed, and Gary had shown a lot of growth as a pokemon trainer. It was then time that he did start his very own pokemon adventure, but he made one major decision. He did not leave with Pokey, who was now a Slowking, but instead, he left his beloved pokemon in Azalea to defend all of the other Slowpoke in the town park, where they all lived. So Gary then left his homeland behind, with a Love Ball as a parting gift that was made by Kurt, and went on the adruous hike to New Bark Town, where the laboratory of Professor Elm was located. At the laboratory, he was joined up by two other youngsters, and the three starter pokemon were presented to them. He gazed at the Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile in amazement, remembering how the mysterious trainer had used a Croconaw, the evolution of Totodile. Gary then also recalled his dreams of striving to become the best trainer there is, and the only way you can do that is by overcoming tougher opponents. Looking down at the small, blue and tan, fire echidna, Gary smiled. He picked up the Cyndaquil, and from that moment on, they were fast friends. He named the little fire critter Typhu, in honor that he had the spirit of a Typhlosion, packed into his tiny little body. The other two trainers chose their pokemon as well, and the trainers all challenged each other to battles. However, Gary clearly had more experience than the other two combined, and together he and Typhu walked over them in battle. Gary then knew of the Pokemon Gyms, and decided that he and Typhu would defeat these places and make their way to the pokemon league.
On their way to Violet City where the closest Gym was located, Gary and Typhu defeated countless trainers, and his ego soared, along with their abilities. On a rainy, windy night, the night before he was to arrive in Violet City, Gary encountered a person he thought he'd never see again. It was in fact, the mysterious trainer who had rescued the whole of Azalea Town all those couple of years before. Having won so many battles, Gary foolishly thought he and Typhu were ready for anything, and challenged him to a battle. The trainer flatly refused, not willing to take on a trainer weaker than him, but Gary persisted, and continued to do so, until he had foolishly angered the trainer, who finally accepted. The trainer sent out a Feraligatr, and the battle had only begun, when Typhu was brutally crushed into critical condition, and the trainer left, dissapearing from Gary's life once again. This was yet another turning point in Gary's life, as he kneeled down in the mud, holding his greatly injured Cyndaquil. He vowed to never abuse the power of a pokemon's strength, and never again would he push his pokemon to such a feat that was dangerous to their health. Dazed and confused, Gary wandered through the forests of Jhoto, as he tried to nurse Typhu back to health. It was a few weeks or so before Typhu was able to do any battling, and until then, Gary had to fend off the wild Hoothoots with sticks. After about a month of travelling alone with Typhu, the two stumbled into the great port of Olivine City, having taken a direct path across all of Jhoto, missing each and every town that was along the coast. Since they were way too weak to try taking on the Gym leader there, who had a massive Steelix, they heard rumors of a brand new region. Gary and Typhu worked and worked, battle after battle, to earn enough money to take a ocean-going ship to this new place. And so, on their first anniversary of battling together, Gary and Typhu finally boarded the boat to start their adventures once again.
Unfortunately, a storm had erupted in the middle of the voyage, and the pair became shipwrecked, floating to a strange new set of islands, inhabited by a few civilized locals. Going from island to island, four more years had passed of Gary and Typhu travelling together, until they finally reached the land of Fizzy Bubbles. Overjoyed, the now fifteen year old and his pokemon began their journey anew...
Adventure Log:
Fizzytopia:
(4/8/05 --- 9/16/05)
Gary's very first adventure began as he and Typhu, his Cyndaquil entered the land of Fizzytopia, heading to the Hydro-Electric Dam. Seeing as there wasn't much to do there, the two continued on down along the riverside. There, they spotted a Mareep who was drowning in the river, and Gary quickly rescued her. Once safe, Gary began to try and befriend her, and the Mareep's trainer then found them, thanking Gary for rescuing their Mareep. The trainer then noticed how attached the Mareep was to Gary's team, and decided that the two trainers would have a match over who gets to keep her. Typhu soon enough found himself facing off against a Chikorita. However, Typhu fought the battle without any advantages, not knowing any fire attacks yet, with the exception of using the fire on his back as a barrier. After a hard battle, the weather turned in Typhus favor, tripping the Chikorita up in the mud and eventually leading to their victory. Gary happily gave his Love Ball to the Mareep, and named her Amph. After parting ways with the trainer, Gary headed further down the river to find a Pokemon Center. Once there and his pokemon healed, Gary found posters for the Master Ball Tournament, a prestigious tournament that trainers partake in. He quickly signed up for it the next day, as he got an eerie feeling about it from a dream. His first adventure finally came to an end when his new Stantler faced off against a trainer's Ditto in the first round.
(10/21/05 --- 2/4/06)
Gary's next adventure in Fizzytopia began yet again at the river, when Rena and he spotted a water pokemon tournament. Having no water pokemon at the time, they headed down to the water's edge, where they found a Wailmer and caught her. After that, they decided to head into the woods. There, they were tackled into a bush by a strange man, who warned him about a group of ruthless trainers called the 'Others.' Right after, they were attacked by an Other with his Crobat and Raticate, and the man held him at bay with his Magmar and Gengar, sending Gary off running to go warn some people. Returning Rena and having Shuri help him climb up a hill, when he got to the top, Gary met up with Maria, and a couple others that were in hiding from the Others. They then all quickly ran into a hidden tunnel, that was shortly after destroyed by a hundred-foot Mewtwo, and as Gary tried to run for cover once again, he was knocked unconscious. When he woke up, Gary was tied to a chair in a strange room, and was asked by Nathan, a man that was in the group he tried to warn, to join the Others. Gary flatly refused, and was now forced to battle some of the group, who had their memories wiped and transformed into Pokemorphs. The two girls in the group were transformed into a Tropius and Gardevoir, the man that helped him out in the forest was turned into a Metagross, and Maria was transformed into a Kangaskhan. However, Maria's memory was not wiped for some reason, and escaped with Gary, and when they arrived on the beach, explained to Gary how the Mewtwo had kidnapped her son long ago. Gary and Maria then head back to the back entrance of the facility, where Maria creates a diversion as Gary sneaks inside. Once there, however, Gary comes face to face with Nathan, where he is taken and put into a chamber, and Nathan explains they they will both be turned into pokemorphs and fight to the death. As Gary is put into a mold and other sorts of strange lights and stuff happens, Gary and Nathan are brought up to an arena, where Gary finds Nathan to be turned into a Rapidash, and himself an Umbreon. Nathan is then joined by the Metagross and Gardevoir, while Gary is joined by Mariaskhan and the Tropius. Gary then sends out Shuri as well to help, the tough battle commenced. After tons of fighting, the Tropius maganged to faint at Nathandash's Blast Burn, and Maria and Metagross were taken out by each other and Nathandash. The battle then moved into the forest, and Nathandash and Gardevoir created a large Psychic Fire Blast, inwhich Gary blocked with his dark type abilities. Gary then managedto defeat the Gardevoir, but Nathan defeated Shuri as well.

FB Pokemon Bios:
Typhu: (m) Typhlosion
Typhu is Gary's first pokemon, so they have a great bond together. They have been a great duo, since the time they have met. Back in Jhoto where they're from, Gary and Typhu have never passed up a challenge, no matter how much stronger the foe. Typhu has never really been that social, due to him being quite shy, but he loves to try and make friends. Ever since he has evolved into a Typhlosion, Typhu has become a lot more solitary. He likes to sit and think a lot, and has become a much more fierce battler. However, he is still somewhat shy.
Amph: (f) Ampharos
Amph is Gary's first captured pokemon, when she was rescued from drowning in the river, and then Gary battled her origional owner for her. Since then, Amph has been very sweet and gentle to everyone, especially Gary. When she evolved into a Flaafy, she seemed to get even nicer and gentler. Amph loves caring for baby pokemon and eggs, so whever there's an egg or baby around, she will see to it that she gets to hold it. After she evolved into an Ampharos, she often acts maternal towards baby pokemon; as she loves to take care of them. She constantly tries to teach Flare to be lady-like.
Shuri: (f) Ninjask
Shuri is Gary's first adopted pokemon, and his first pokemon, other than Typhu. Shuri is very social, and loves dancing more than anything. She has spent a lot of time at the move tutors, so she loves learning new techniques. She has not been in a battle yet, but she can't wait to show off her moves. Ever since she evolved, she loves flying, especially dancing while she's flying. It's almost impossible to get her to land, unless it's on Gary's shoulder or head.
Thorn: (m) Cacturne
Thorn was Gary's second adopted pokemon, and is slightly on the overly happy side. This is shown by punching other people, but all in good meaning. This probably started when Gary fatefully brought him to the move tutor to learn Dynamicpunch. He loves making other friends, that is the ones that don't run away. He has a strange obsession with sweets, and often is at his secret lair, where he hoards all of his candies. After his evolution, Thorn has grown a lot more like his dark type. He has a bitter outlook on life, and often tried to break things when he is bored. Thorn is a lot more sarcastic and confrontational, and whenever he has a kind feeling, he instantly tries to supress it. He still likes hoarding stuff, though it is usually more valuable stuff than candies now, and they are mostly stolen stuff too.
Scurvy: (m) Aipom
Scurvy was once a part of a band of pirates, who went off sailing the seven seas. Scurvy will always love boats, and the water in general, because they remind him of his adventures. He loves to pretend to be a pirate himself, and most of the time, he talks by saying, "Arr," and such. Another thing he loves to do is sit on Gary's shoulders and head. Scurvy loves using his tail-hand, and ends up using it more often than his normal hands.
Rena: (f) Stantler
Rena is probably the most outgoing Stantler ever. Not only does she like to socialize and dance, her favorite hobby is battling, as she loves to fight. She loves her antlers and takes good care of them, as they store the majority of her power. She hopes to be one of the strongest pokemon in the world some day.
Flare: (f) Houndoom
Since Flare is just a puppy, she is very energetic and loves running around and chasing things, like poor Typhu. Flare is also somewhat shy, since she is still a puppy, but once you get to know her, she is very very friendly. She often likes to show off her friendliness in the form of her slobbery tongue, much to Typhu's chagrin. As she gets older, she has calmed down somewhat, but she likes to play tricks on the others. She acts tom-boyish, and is very impressionable, especially when it comes to learning attack stances from Roch. Ever since her evolution, Flare has shown a number of different personalities. She is far more haughty than she used to be, and her temper has grown a little too. She is still friendly to most, though she has a little bit of a cynical outlook on things too.
Dani: (f) Queendra
Dani is a very humble seahorse, though she can be outgoing and social at times, she usually sticks to herself. She was origionally traded to Gary, but then she had a stay on Joshua's team for several months. However, Dani is glad that she is back with Gary, because she missed him and his pokemon very much. Dani usually sticks to herself, in the fact that she is first most a fish, and not too much a land dweller, so she loves to swim. She is great friends with Aero, and they swim together, seeing as they're the only two fish pokemon on Gary's team.
Aero: (m) Mantine
Aero used to be friends only with Swimmy, his baby, runt, deformed, mentally challenged Remoraid friend. Sadly, one day they were caught in a storm out at sea, and Swimmy was lost from Aero. Aero was devastated, but eventually, he began to open up and make new friends, especially with Dani. However, he will never forget his old friend and vows to be re-united with him some day. Aero is somewhat sociable now, and likes to show off his swimming moves underwater. He also loves to jump out of the water and glide around.
Raphael: (m) Wartortle
Raphael was once in a group known as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Squirtles, being the fiesty, red ninja. He has two things from his ninja days that he still carries around with him everywhere, and that is his red scarf that he wears around his eyes like a pseudo-mask, and his two sai, that he loves slashing stuff with. As a Squirtle, he is a cute little guy, who often gets into trouble trying to do heroics, so he usually is the one who ends up needing the saving.
