Yeah, just a weird game I thought up to train us to think up some bad stuff and more important to allow us all to try to help each other get better at writing.
Basically, each player name one author (fanfic author, preferably) and then, the next player must criticize that author in some way - IE, say ONE thing that author does that could be improved.
For a random example using known authors.
Thread Starter : "The first author is JRR Tolkien. JRR Tolkien..."
Next Poster : "...Is way too impressed by his own vocabulary. Now David Eddings..."
Next poster : "...Needs some more originality. Now Robert Jordan..."
Yet more poster : "...needs to stop getting lost in twenty billions subplots and minor characters. Now Ace Sanchez..."
Someone else : "...write weak endings. Now..."
You get the drift.
Anyway, only authors who have posted stories on this board are legitimate victims...(and be nice, ie "Needs to get a life" and "Is a crap writer" and the like are NOT acceptable. It has to be useful criticism related to their writing. NO insults.)
Oh, and yeah. No self-criticism. If you are the author up for critics, you can't criticize yourself. However, you can put your own name up for "next to be criticized".
A name can be criticized more than once. (IE, if "Damian Silverblade" already came up, you can name me again for next target)
After a while (about a day) you can critize a name you put up yourself. As long, of course, as it's not you.,
To open the ball, here's the first name tossed to sharks...
