    CHARIZARD VS FERALIGATER

Buizel fired a ball made out of water as it started to hurdle straight towards Combusken. “Combusken jump out of the way.” Combusken crouched for a moment then it leapt up; this allowed it to the get over the Water Pulse, Combusken then landed on one of the platforms that were over the water.

“That was really fast, even for Combusken.” Ashian had a surprised look on his face as he looked at the battle field.

“I’ve trained hard my Combusken doesn’t lose so easily,” Jake said as he threw his hand forward. “Go Double Kick.” Combusken jumped to another platform and another one at a great speed as it headed towards Buizel, Buizel reacted in time to fire a Water Gun but Combusken got out of the way and landed the first kick on its chest, the attack made Buizel go up from the platform, then it landed the second one on its face and sent it flying into the water.

“Jake sure is going at it hard,” Alexa said as she looked down at the battle, she had a worried look and was tapping her fingers on the chair; she was worried if Ashian didn’t come up with something Jake could beat him fast.

“Just stay in the water Buizel, you’ll be safer there.” Ashian advised as he wondered what to do next.

“I wouldn’t be so sure about that,” Jake said with a grin on his face, he knew all of Buizel’s weaknesses so he knew what to do. “Overheat,” Combusken fired a ball of fire which turned the water into steam. “Fire Spin.” Then it fired a small tornado of flames that turned the water around the spot where Buizel dove into steam. Buizel jumped out and landed in one of the platforms due to the hit.

“Damn it,” Ashian grunted from worried as he clenched his fist; he knew fighting Jake would be hard especially if he fought with a Buizel that used to be his. “Gotta think of something fast.” He looked back at the field. “Whirlpool.” Buizel jumped in the water and started to swim around the platform Combusken was on creating a giant Whirlpool that sent it flying Combusken was trapped and fell into the water unconscious.

“Combusken’s unable to battle, Buizel wins.” The referee pointed a green flag at Buizel. Buizel took a step back as it tried to catch its breath after the battle with Combusken, its breath becoming slower and slower with each hit it took as its arms were shaking from the fight.

“You okay Buizel?” Ashian asked as he turned to look at the tired Buizel, it just gave him a thumb up; hesitantly though. *I probably made a mistake on using Buizel, I mean Jake knows its weaknesses and strengths better than I do* Ashian thought as he started to clench his fist and bite his lip, he knew what he had to do; even if it was something really out of character. “I withdraw Buizel from the fight.”

A lot of people in the stands gasped as they heard Ashian’s decision, it was allowed to withdraw a Pokémon as long as you still have some Pokémon remaining; but not a lot of people actually did it. “Are you sure?” the referee asked.

“Yeah, that’s my decision as a Trainer.” Ashian answered with a serious tone as he looked at the crowd and turned to his friends. Alexa, Henry and Lucas all understood Ashian’s decision; if he was willing to win against Jake then fighting with Buizel wasn’t even an option. “Return,” Ashian returned the puzzled Buizel into its pokeball. “I’ll explained later.” He whispered to the pokeball as he put it back on his belt.

“Good choice, I can see you’re not fighting recklessly like last time.” Jake nodded his head as the wind blew some of his blond hairs. “But you’re still gonna lose sadly,” she said as he threw his second pokeball onto the field. “Let me present to you Sharpedo.” Then a Sharpedo came up from the deep water as it roared.

“Then I’ll go with Pikachu!” Ashian sent out his Pikachu, knowing that the type advantage would give him an edge. *There is one little problem on using Pikachu, but I’m hoping that Jake doesn’t find out what it is.* he thought while grunting as he exchanged looks with Jake.

“Sharpedo, Dive.” Sharpedo nodded as he went straight into the water and started swimming down. Pikachu and Ashian kept their guard up from when it could resurface again. “Now.” Sharpedo jumped from behind Pikachu; unfortunately for it Pikachu used its tail to bounce off the platform he was on and land on another one.

“Now we got you Thunder!” Pikachu fired a jolt of powerful electricity straight at Sharpedo, Sharpedo landed into the water before the attack could hit though. “Damn it.”

“Now use Headbutt.” Sharpedo came out of the water as it tackled Pikachu. Pikachu tried to get away but when it looked around it noticed the other platforms were too far away. “Now use Crunch,” Sharpedo sunk its fangs on the little Pikachu’s torso as it drew out blood and the screams of sheer pain from the yellow rat.

“Pikachu no.” Ashian gasped as he saw his friend get bitten by the shark like Pokémon.

“You think I wouldn’t notice,” Jake raised his finger. “True, Pikachu does give you an advantage, but because Pikachu’s rely on their speed a field like this kinda takes it away.” He explained while nodding his head. “Not just that but Sharpedo is one of the fastest water types when he’s in water, so even though you have the type advantage, I have both the field and the ability advantage.”

“Damn it, he caught me and even caught somethings I hadn’t.” Ashian looked at Pikachu and gritted his teeth, if he didn’t think of something then his friend would become Sharpedo’s new chew toy; which wasn’t good at all. “Wait, Pikachu Thunderbolt.” Pikachu opened its eyes wide as it sent out a current of electricity, since Sharpedo was still biting it, it was caught on the attack and had to let go. “Bull’s eye.”

“Guess I got a little caught up,” Jake sighed after realizing his miscalculation. “I was never that good at statistics anyways, but Sharpedo is still up and running, or swimming depending on how you call it.” He shrugged as Sharpedo came out of the water again. “Surf up.” A huge tidal wave was created as it crashed on the field washing Pikachu away and into the water.

Sharpedo dove down as it targeted Pikachu and prepared to fire a Hyper Beam. “Thunder!” Ashian yelled as Pikachu sent out another jolt of thunder that electrocuted Sharpedo all over. “Good thing water conducts electricity.”

Ashian’s party came to a short end though as both Pikachu and Sharpedo came floating from the water, both unconscious. “Neither Pokémon is able to battle,” the referee announced as he raised both flags. Ashian gasped.

“True, water does conduct electricity, so when Pikachu fired that Thunder he overcharged himself and that made him unable to keep going.” Jake chuckled as he gave Ashian a thumb up. “I told you it would be a hard match,”

“Yeah you did,” Ashian grinned as both he and Jake returned their Pokémon. “Go Gliscor.” Ashian sent his Gliscor out into the field.

“Time to mix things up, go Altaria!” Jake threw his pokeball into the field as his Altaria came out and spread its wings. “Arial Ace.” Altaria charged at Gliscor at a great speed as it started gathering wind.

“Use Fire Fang.” Ashian commanded as Gliscor flew to the side till it reached Altaria’s wings its mouth was covered in flames as it bit down on the Pokémon’s wing and made it scream. “That was for Pikachu, now use Iron Tail.” Gliscor’s tail glowed white as it slapped Altaria and sent it back crashing into the platform.

“Gotta admit, your Gliscor’s really fast,” Jake said as he raised his hand. “Altaria Double Team.” Altaria spread its wings as it started to create clones of each other that surrounded Gliscor. “As you might know the clones from Double Team aren’t actually clones, it’s just that the Pokémon moves so fast they look like them, in other words Double Team is an attack made for speed.”

“Yeah I knew that already,” Ashian answered. *Actually I didn’t…* he thought but he was still trying to hide the fact he didn’t know. “Gliscor use Night Slash!” Gliscor raised its claw as it was surrounded by a dark glow, it charged at one of the clones and slashed it, but it wasn’t the real one. “Hyper Beam on all of them.”

“Dragon Dance,” the Altaria clones started to fly around Gliscor making it lose its focus on where it was attacking. “Now use Fire Blast!” all of the Altaria fired a star shaped wave of fire at Gliscor. Gliscor dove down and moved sideways to try and dodge them but two of them crashed from both front and back and burned it up. “Now go for an Arial Ace.” The clones disappeared as the real Altaria started diving down.

“Not good, Gliscor, turn the hell around and use Metal Beam!” Gliscor managed to turn itself around in midair as it opened its mouth wide and concentrated metallic energy in it, it fired it as it crashed straight against Altaria causing a big cloud of smoke. “That should do it.” Ashian smiled as he looked up.

“Maybe not.” Jake pointed out as Altaria flew out of the cloud of smoke absorbed by a speeding blue light. “Brave Bird always helps doesn’t it?” Altaria crashed against Gliscor as it started to fly straight into the ground. “Now use Solar Beam!” it opened its mouth and fired a beam of white light as it started to push Gliscor down to the ground. The Pokémon bounced off the ground as its world turned into one of hurt. “Gliscor’s part ground type, so Solar Beam should have taken quite a hit.”

“Gliscor you have to get up,” Ashian looked at his almost worn out Gliscor as it struggled to get on its feet. Finally after a lot of time and suffering it managed to stand in its own two legs again. “Okay Jake, we’re ready.”

“You really wanna keep going, this is why you never stop amazing me Ashian,” Jake laughed as he looked at Altaria who was still airborne. *Even if it managed to get up, it’ll take a lot of its energy to fly* Jake thought as he looked at Gliscor.

“Go up.” Ashian ordered as Gliscor spread its wings and started to fly straight at Altaria. Altaria fired a Flamethrower from the sky but Gliscor managed to dodge it. “Keep going.”

“What’s he doing?” Jake asked himself; which was practically the same question the whole stadium was asking, Gliscor just kept dodging Altaria as it threw attack from far away while it go farther away itself. Then it hit him. Gliscor crashed against Altaria as it wrapped its arms or what he had for arms around its neck and bit it down with a Fire Fang causing Altaria to scream in agony as both Pokémon crashed with a platform and fell in the water. Both Pokémon floated up in unconsciousness.

“Both Pokémon are unable to battle,” the referee called out as he raised both the red and the green flag.

“So, that’s three rounds already, I say that why don’t we take a break I think we all need it after those battles.” The announcer said through the MIC as both Ashian and Jake turned around and started walking out of the field.

They shifted to look at each other before going to their locker room. “So far both Ashian and Jake had only draws on the last rounds,” Henry pointed out after a moment as he turned to look at his friends. “It’s weird isn’t it.”

“It’s as if Jake knows what Ashian’s gonna do.” Alexa said as she scratched her chin, she knew that Jake was strong but that he could actually counter everything Ashian does before he does it.

“He does, and that prompts Ashian to think of new strategy that Jake doesn’t know.” Lucas answered as he leaned on his chair making a light squeak. “At least it’s good in that way isn’t it?” he told them while doing a thinking pose.

“Thing is.” Evelyn walked towards them getting through the crowd of people that were either going to the bathroom or just going to take a break from the fight. Alexa grumbled after hearing her voice though. “Thing is that when Ashian does that Jake seems to find a way to counter it, then Ashian finds a way to counter that and so on.” She explained. “In other words is a never ending cycle.”

“And that leads to a never ending battle,” Henry finished Evelyn’s sentence.

“That’s not good, if neither one can figure out how to counter the other’s counter before that person figures out their counter….I think I just twisted my tongue.” Alexa pouted as she started losing track of the sentence. “Point is this battle is never gonna end or at least not with a winner.”

“Well, I know Ashian can do it, probably.” Lucas just shrugged.

“Good thing you root for your brother.” Henry and Alexa said it at the same time while sweatdropping.

“Just stating my opinion.” Lucas shrugged as he got up. “I’m gonna go get a donut.” He started walking out of stands.

“Now we’re back folks as our two trainers are ready to keep on battling.” The announcer announced through the MIC as the crowd started cheering uncontrollably. Jake and Ashian walked over to the field, each step seemed endless as they waited to start battle again. “Begin!”

“Go Sceptile/Metagross!” the yelled the respective names of their Pokémon as they came out from the pokeball ready to battle. Sceptile’s leaf blades started to glow as he charged towards Metagross preparing for a strong slash. “No dice, Metagross, Psychic!” Jake yelled as Metagross’s eyes glowed purple and sent Sceptile back.

“Now, use Meteor Mash!” Metagross’s fist started glowing with orange energy as it flew straight at Sceptile holding out its fist. Sceptile jumped up as it fired a round of Bullet Seeds that landed square on Metagross’s face.

“Combo attack, Quick Tail!” Ashian yelled as Sceptile’s tail started glowing white, the Pokémon started running at a great speed as it crashed its tail against Metagross, Metagross grabbed the tail and started to spin Sceptile around.

“Psybeam!” Metagross fired a rainbow colored beam that sent Sceptile crashing on the rocky floor. It struggled to get up as it looked at Metagross who was getting ready for another attack. “Earthquake!” Metagross yelled as the earth started to shake making Sceptile scream as it received the shockwaves.

“Wait for it!” Ashian yelled feeling his arm getting cut through the sleeve. Lucas seemed to have notice this as he shifted to look at his brother.

“Could it be.” He thought to himself.

“Hyper Beam!” Jake yelled out as Metagross fired a beam of orange energy straight at Sceptile. Sceptile opened its mouth as it fired a Solar Beam, which surprised Jake. “How?” he said in a surprised tone. Ashian was grinning as he looked at him.

“You have to trick your opponent right Jake.” He kept grinning as the Solar Beam overtook the hyper one, making Metagross struggle to try and keep it up as it hit its mark making the steel and psychic type fall down to the floor like a totem pole.

“Metagross is unable to battle, Sceptile wins.” The referee pointed the green flag to Sceptile, who was trying to catch a break.

“Good work Sceptile, rest up.” Ashian returned Sceptile, for some reason, he couldn’t catch his breath, either it was as if the battle was really getting to him. “Retire.” Ashian told the referee.

“What’s with this kid, he just keeps on retiring his Pokémon if they win,” the announcer said with a surprised tone.

“Wow.” Jake nodded his head at Ashian. “You have a great respect for your Pokémon.” He pointed out as he looked at Ashian.

“I just don’t wanna see them getting hurt, my bond with them has grown so much, seeing them fall after noticing how hurt they were, I just can’t help but blame myself.” Ashian answered with a serious look on his face, getting the whole crowd to question Ashian’s reasons.

“Well said.” Jake nodded his head while smiling, he could see now how much Ashian cared, treating his Pokémon like they were part of his own family.

Ashian held out a pokeball on his hand. “So, why don’t we let it come down to this?” Ashian told him. “We can either fight with our two remaining Pokémon, or fight with our strongest ones and decide who wins in just one round.”

“Again, well said.” Jake took out one pokeball from his belt as well. “Then, I’ll fight with my strongest too.” He grinned; Ashian as well as the two threw their pokeballs. “Feraligater, you’re up!”

“Charizard, time for payback!” Ashian sent his Charizard out who spread its wings as it looked at Feraligater. “In our first fight, they were in their middle stage and were the Pokémon we used, I lost with Charmelon, but I know Charizard will be another story. “ Ashian had a confident look as the two dragons glared at each other.

“Feraligater, use Water Gun!” Feraligater opened its mouth as a stream of water shot straight at Charizard, Charizard flew off the ground and straight into the sky as it dove down. “A Fly attack, great, but not that great, catch it.” Feraligater jumped as it caught Charizard dead on its tracks. “Now, time for some realy fighting.” Feraligater punched Charizard on the jaw getting it back down as the dragon wrapped its tail around Feraligater’s foot and sent it down with it.

“Dragon Breath!” Charizard fired a beam of green flames straight at Feraligater, who just held its arms in front to stop the heat from reaching. “Now, use Rage!” Charizard gathered all the damage it had taken from Feraligater as it fired a beam of red Energy.

“Use Dragon Rage!” Feraligater fired a ball made out of crimson flames as it clashed with the Rage attack, causing it to blow up in a cloud of smoke. “Go, Crunch!” Jake yelled as Feraligater bit Charizard’s arm as hard as it could.

“Use Fire Punch!” Ashian ordered holding his left hand close to his right hand as he felt blood starting to come out. *What’s happening?*

Charizard’s fist was surrounded by flames as it started punching Feraligater over and over, trying to get it away from its arm. “Aqual Tail!” Feraligater’s tail was surrounded with water as it slapped Charizard hard on its chest. Ashian stepped back as he felt his stomach being hit with the same blast.

“What’s going on with Ashian?” Alexa asked as she looked down at her friend who was trembling from the pain. “He looks really beat up.”

“How?” Henry asked looking down. “He’s just standing there?” he had a worried look on his face, wondering what could be wrong with Ashian.

    “Ashian, you okay?” Jake asked.

“Never better,” Ashian tried to catch his breath as he raised his head. “Fire Blast!” Charizard fired a star shaped blast straight on Feraligater’s face, burning it completely. “Now, use Flare Blitz!” Charizard was surrounded with flames as it went to tackle Feraligater.

“Aqua Jet!” Feraligater was surrounded by water as the two Pokémon collided. Charizard wrapped its arms around Feraligater as it started flying up. “It was a decoy.”

“Seismic Toss!” Ashian screamed as Charizard started diving down, ready to crash against the ground along with Feraligater. Feraligater turned to look at Charizard as it fired a powerful Hydro Pump sending it away and making it let go. Charizard fell down on the ground as it struggled to get up.

“Time to finish it.” Jake nodded his head as he looked at Feraligater.

“Looks like this is it.” The announcer was on the edge of his seat as Feraligater opened its mouth.

But just before anything happened Charizard started to get surrounded by red energy, which grew drastically as wings materialize and a long neck. Finally the cape of energy started to resemble a dragon itself. “What’s this?” Jake asked with astonishment.

“Synchro Attack.” Lucas whispered as he started walking towards the hallway. “It’s over.”

“Dragon Impulse!” Ashian yelled as Charizard flew straight at Feraligater with glaring eyes. The dragonic energy crashed against the reptiles body as Charizard casted a powerful Punch on its torso, making it fall back from the pain as it hit the ground.

“Feraligater’s unable to battle, Charizard wins!” the referee pointed a green flag at Charizard. “The winner is Ashian Trainer from Pallet Town.”

“I don’t know what the hell kind of attack was that, but it was awesome and it’s over!” the announcer yelled as the ground started cheering for Ashian. Ashian was looking down at the floor holding his hands close to his stomach as he chuckled. “Wait, something’s wrong.” The announcer said as Ashian fell to his knees and then fell down to the floor.

“Ashian!” Alexa, Henry, Evelyn and Bryan yelled as they started running down to help their friend as the paramedics hurried to the sight.

Lucas was walking on the hallway. “So you are able to use it Ashian,” he said while lifting his beret. “You’re finally able to unlock Full Synchro.”

Man, that was an intense battle! If only the anime was as good...

Feraligatr is how you spell it. How you spell it maxes out the 10-letter limit.

    FULL SYNCHRO, THE FINAL CONFRONTATION

“So we’re back to the Kanto Stadium where the second battle of the semifinals between Evelyn Ketchum and Lucas Trainer is going on.” The announcer called out from the MIC as the crowd kept cheering loudly.

Evelyn turned to face Lucas; the two had already lost four Pokémon in this battle. “Looks like the battle is still pretty balanced right?” Evelyn looked at the field as her Ambipom was ready to face Lucas’s fifth Pokémon.

“Yeah, you’re better than I thought,” Lucas took out his fifth pokeball. “But I’ll have to finish this soon to go see my brother,” Lucas threw the pokeball on the battle field as his Shiftry came out. Shiftry glared at Evelyn’s Ambipom.

“So, not nervous about winning and fighting him in the end I see, Ambipom Swift!” Ambipom started charging as it fired a barrage of golden stars at Shiftry. Shiftry just put its arms together as it created a huge Twister attack and blew the stars and Ambipom away.

“Shifty, jump over and use Razor Leaf.” Shiftry jumped over the Twister it created as it looked down on Ambipom. It started firing sharp leafs straight at Ambipom, as the monkey like Pokémon was hit and slashed by the leafs.

“Ambipom, you okay?” Evelyn asked as she looked at her Pokémon, who just got up and from the floor, she turned towards the crowd; even now she was still wondering if they cheered for her because of her skills or because of her bloodline. “Let’s keep fighting.”

“Maybe you should give up this fight Evelyn,” Lucas said turning to her, but Ambipom was already charging as it hit Shiftry with a Double Hit, hitting it first with its left hand and them striking Shiftry’s chest with its right hand. Shiftry kept standing as Lucas held his hand closed to his stomach and looked at Evelyn. “Because you have no chance,” he wiped some blood that was on his mouth.

“Wait, what’s going on?” Evelyn asked with her eyes wide open.

“This is what I call Full Synchro, and you’ll be the first one in this tournament that will get a taste of mine,” Lucas grinned. “Double Team.” Shiftry multiplied as the clones started surrounding Ambipom. “Now Synchro Attack, Wind God Call!” Lucas yelled as the clones started to spin around creating a giant tornado that absorbed Ambipom.

“What the hell’s going on?” Evelyn asked herself as she tried to hold on to something so that she wouldn’t be blown off along with Ambipom; the crowd also held on to their chairs as the tornado subsided, leaving a defeated Ambipom on the floor.

“Ambipom’s unable to battle, Shiftry wins.” The announcer pointed at green flag at Lucas, who finished wiping blood off.

“What’s going on, is full synchro, this is what you get for making me go serious.” Lucas glared at Evelyn, as she started to take out her last pokeball, desperate to find a way to defeat Lucas and his full synchro. “You’re still fighting?”

“Yes, go Meganium!” Evelyn sent out her Meganium into battle as it looked at Lucas and his Shiftry. “I may not have Full Synchro or what you call it, but I have a strong Meganium,” Evelyn nodded her head.

“Strenght alone won’t give you victory, return,” Lucas returned his Shiftry as he threw out another pokeball sending out his Empoleon. “And I’ll be the one to show you that right here and now,”

    ***

In another part of the Indigo Plateau, Alexa was changing the flowers in the base that was next to Ashian’s hospital bed as Ashian was watching some TV; they had forbid him from watching Lucas’s battle so that he wouldn’t stress himself with eagerness. “This is boring, I wanna watch the battle.”

“You heard what the doctor said,” Alexa argued as she finished arranging the flowers. “No battles till the finals if you want to get better fast,” she turned towards him, upon closer look you could notice Alexa was wearing a much calmer outfit to her previous one, she was wearing a pink skirt with an orange red shirt, she also had her hair done in a ponytail.

“I know, but I think watching Lucas’s battle can help me out with strategies and stuff,” Ashian nodded his head while sitting closer to the wall as he changed the TV to the channel of the battle.

“Couldn’t hold him too long now could you?” Bryan asked as he walked into the room with Henry, the two were carrying bags full of bread; Henry was eating a piece already though. “I wanna watch it too, so, leave it on,” Bryan sat next to Ashian.

“What can I do with these two,” Alexa sweatdropped.

“Come on, a little fun won’t do him any bad, especially if its a fight with his future opponent.” Henry adviced as he grabbed a chair and sat down next to the bed.

Alexa just sighed. “Men,” she muttered as she sat down on the other chair. The four watched as the TV got back from commercial break to show the raging battle between Empoleon and Meganium. They all looked at the screen in awe.

“Now we’re back, as you can see Meganium and Empoleon are going head to head right now, this is something you really don’t wanna miss.” The announcer on the TV said as Empoleon tried to slash Meganium with a Steel Wing, Meganium took the hit head on but it countered with a Vine Whip on its jaw.

“They’re really giving them their all,” Henry noticed as he looked at both Evelyn and Lucas, Evelyn was practically going crazy with the commands she was giving her Pokémon, but Lucas was just standing as his body started to become even more bruised. “Hey, it’s the same thing that happened to you.”

“What?” Ashian was really paying attention now as he saw Lucas’s body getting bruise, he could notice that it was the same thing that was happening to him, surely Lucas was taking it on better than Ashian did.

“If Lucas can do that too, then he must know something about it,” Bryan turned around to look at Ashian as the two exchanged nods. “I think there’s something he hasn’t told us yet,”

“Yeah, but I wonder why he was just saving it till now?” Alexa asked herself as she looked on with a serious look.

“Go, Meganium use Razor Leaf,” Meganium started firing sharp rounds of leafs straight at Empoleon as Empoleon shielded itself with its armor like wings as it glared at Meganium.

Lucas clenched his fist for a moment. “Yeah, I think now’s the time,” he looked at Evelyn and then at the camera, Ashian’s eyes met with Lucas, he could feel as if his brother knew he was watching. “Synchro Attack, Aqua Strike!” Lucas yelled as Empolon opened up its wings as two whirlpools materialized and came out and crashed straight with Meganium, then its mouth opened up as it fired a bluish beam of light straight at Meganium, when it crashed Meganium’s whole body froze over.

“What, was that?” Evelyn asked with a confused look.

“Aqua Strikes, attacks the opponent with two close range Whirlpools, then when the opponent is damaged enough it fires a cold wave, this is turn freezes the opponent for a total of one hour, not even a ice heal can unfreeze it.” Lucas explained as he turned to the referee, nodding, the referee knew that according to the rules that if a Pokémon was unable to fight because of a freeze or sleep, if it was the last Pokémon the trainer had it would still count as an unable to battle.

“Meganium is unable to battle, Lucas wins.” The referee pointed the green flag as the crowd erupted in cheers. Evelyn returned her Meganium as she put down her hat a bit so that it would cover her face. She felt really embarrass right now, after giving her all, she failed to win the tournament.

“Next time we fight.” Evelyn looked up to see Lucas straight in the eyes. “Do it with your heart, not with a false claim that you’re doing it with it.” He turned around and walked off.

“Wow, what a heated battle,” the announcer almost screamed through the MIC. “Now that that’s settled with, the finals of this great tournament will be held two days from now,” he announced as the crowd turned to the screen that showed a picture of Ashian and one of Lucas. “The battle of the century is about to begin, will the underdog from Pallet Town defeat the already champion of the Sinnoh region, or will he crumble to his defeat, and he’s the juiciest fact people, they’re brothers, yes not only a battle between too great trainers but a sibling battle, it is just bound to be hot.”

Ashian wasn’t paying attention at what the announcer or any of his friends were saying as he thought about the weird ability he and Lucas had acquired, like Alexa said, if Lucas knew there was a chance Ashian might learn it, why didn’t he told them before.

About an hour later Lucas walked into the room as everyone turned to look at him, now his bruises were most noticeable, but unlike Ashian he wasn’t in critical condition. “Why the serious face?” he asked with a chuckle.

“Wipe that smirk off of you stinking face and talk!” Alexa barked as she was the first one to get up, she also intimidated the other guys too much, so they just stayed down.

“About what?” Lucas asked, trying to hide the fact he knew what they were talking about.

“The ability we have to gain the same damage our Pokémon gain,” Ashian spoke as Lucas turned to looked at him for a sec.

“Oh, you mean Full Synchro,” Lucas pointed out, getting everyone to pay attention again.

“Full what?” they all asked at the same time.

Lucas’s look turned to one more serious as he took in a deep breath. “Full Synchro,” he answered as he sat down. “Is the process in which a trainer as his Pokémon combine their minds into one, making the perfect combo.” He started explaining. “You see, Full Synchro’s a rare ability, and it can only be obtained by trainers who share a deep bond with their Pokémon, kinda like Ashian and me,” he pointed out.

“So that’s why Ashian can do it, it’s because the bond he has with his Pokémon is really strong.” Henry said surprisingly understanding what Lucas was saying.

“Exactly, Full Synchro gives us the ability to synch with our Pokémon, allowing us to make reaction time and give commands through the mind.” He nodded his head while having his arms folded. “Now, the reason why we take damage, is because while in full synchro, the damage our Pokémon takes turns to our body, this is good in the sense the damage we take is half of what the Pokémon should take and the other half is what the Pokémon is taking.”

“So in other words, the damage is cut down to half,” Alexa raised an eyebrow, if so Full Synchro was a really great ability, but a dangerous one if a person couldn’t bear the pain.

“But of course, the damage a Pokémon take isn’t comparable with a human’s, because the human body is more fragile, a human must have a lot of endurance for it,” Lucas raised his finger and leaned on the chair. “Only people that know about this are dad, Klaid and me, now as you know the latter are dead so I’m the only one, except for now that you guys know about it.” He nodded his head.

“Okay, so, I’ll just have to learn to control it,” Ashian nodded his head getting everyone else in the room surprised.

“Do it if you wish, but two days isn’t enough time, and I don’t want everyone accusing me of killing my little brother,” Lucas got up and turned to the door. “See ya at the stadium Ashian,”

“See ya, and take this in mind,” Ashian clenched his fist, getting Lucas to stop for a moment. “I’ll beat you Lucas, I still have to take revenge from our first battle.”

Lucas just smirked as he walked out of the room. Alexa looked back at Ashian, not wanting him to practice Full Synchro, or use it ever again, but also not wanting to tell him that.

    ***

The night before the finals Ashian was sitting in front of a river that was near their cabin as he laid on the grass after a sec and stared at the stars, he looked his hands, bruised from the late training with Full Synchro, Lucas was right, only so much could be done in only one day with a technique that took years to master.

Ashian sighed as he thought back on his journey, from the moment he woke up in a rush and crashed against the tree in their front yard, to when he crashed against Evelyn’s bike and their first battle; and even his battle with Bryan. There was also the memory of his Pokémon, his battle in the gyms. His fights against Team Dark, his meeting with Henry, Jake and all those people including that fateful meeting he had with Alexa when she rescued him and Henry in Mt. Eclipse.

And after so long, Ashian couldn’t help but ask himself, how he had gone through all that time, fighting without rest, saving people and Pokémon alike. He felt footsteps on the grass as he moved his head back to see Alexa approaching him. “What’s wrong?” Ashian asked her.

“Just wanted to keep you company,” Alexa answered as she sat down next to him. “So, tomorrow’s the big day isn’t it?” she said as she and Ashian exchanged looks with each other. “I want to say that it’ll be okay, but you’re fighting against a top trainer, who is also your brother, it’s hard.”

“I know, but I know I can beat him if I just believe.” Ashian sat up as he and Alexa exchanged looks. “We never…”

“Talked about the kiss, I know,” Alexa told her as she looked at the stars. “It’s obvious that after this we’ll have to go our separate ways, so we shouldn’t tie each other to a losing rope,” she told him, Ashian nodded in agreement. “So, just friends for now, and if the opportunity comes, maybe more than friends later on,” she giggled a bit.

“You giggled,” Ashian gasped. “You actually giggled, I’ve never seen you giggle,” he tried to hold in a laugh.

“Yeah, so what’s it to you?” Alexa frowned.

“No I mean, you have a pretty cute giggle,” Ashian laughed while rubbing the back of his head. Alexa suddenly leaned forward as she wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly.

“T’es toujours en ma Coeur.” She whispered in his ear lightly.

“What’s that mean?” he asked with a small blush on his face.

“It’s French for you’re always in my heart,” Alexa nodded smiling at him as Ashian nodded his head.

“And you in mine,” he said as the two lay back on the grass looking up at the sky.

    ***

“Welcome everyone, to the Kanto Dome, as we’re preparing ourselves for the final of the Indigo Plateau tournament!” the announcer yelled, his voice could be heard all throughout the Plateau as everyone was either piling up in the entrance to the stadium, fighting to get seats or buying some snacks to eat before the battle began.

Ashian was preparing in his locker room as he put on his knew black and red gauntlets, fit perfectly on his hand. “Looking good man,” Ashian turned around to see Henry as Pikachu jumped off his head and ran over to its trainer.

“I was wondering where you were,” Ashian laughed as he grabbed the Pokémon and turned to his friends who had entered the room. “Hey guys,”

“We came here to cheer you on before the final battle, and you know, to make sure you don’t lose, I’m betting 20,000 poke dollars on you man,” Bryan exclaimed getting Alexa to elbow him on the gut.

“And we also wanted to make sure you lost pressure,” she said as she and the others walked over to Ashian. “Remember, no matter what, we’ll always be your friends, and we’ll always support you,” she put her hand on his shoulder.

“For better or for words, that’s our motto, then again that’s also what a father says when he’s marrying people, but hey I digress,” Henry laughed.

“Although if you lose I’m still billing you for the lost,” Bryan nodded his head; this got both Henry and Alexa to elbow him. “Ouch, you guys are gonna make me puke my breakfast!” Bryan yelled as everyone in the room started laughing. “Good luck out there Ashian, and remember; only I can beat you.”

“Sure, whatever you say,” Ashian grinned as he got up. “Now, I gotta go meet my doom, just kidding,” he chuckled as he walked out of the locker room and started walking towards the field.

When he walked out he saw the crowd thundering with cheers as he walked over to his spot on the field. Ashian turned to face Lucas, who was on the other side, he lifted his beret so that he could look at his little brother. “So it’s finally come down to this, one last winner takes all.” He chuckled.

“Yep, this is the battle I’ve been waiting for,” Ashian nodded his head as he turned to the screen, which had each trainers picture on each side, and six slots under both pictures. “Weird, our first battle was in the virtual reality console in Viridian Mall, and the field we selected looked like this one.”

“Yeah, I know, let’s hope that the ending will be different for you.” Lucas turned to him as the two put their hands on their belt, suddenly the sound of the crowd was silenced as they could only feel the sound of their beating hearts.

“This will be a six on six battle, the first trainer to lose his six Pokémon loses the fight, is that clear,” the referee asked as both Lucas and Ashia nodded. “Okay then, begin.”

“Go Pachirisu!” Lucas yelled as he sent out the electric squirrel Pachirisu.

“Go Pikachu!” Ashian yelled as he sent out his Pikachu to landed safely on the field as it turned to look at Luca’s Pachirisu. “Now, Quick Attack.” Pikachu started running at a great speed as it prepared to tackle Pachirisu.

“Bad move, Discharge!” Lucas ordered as Pachirisu fired a blue colored lightning.

“Charge,” Ashian commanded, Pikachu stopped on its tracks as it absorbed the electric attack and used it to make itself stronger.

“A great move by Ashian, this will make his Pikachu even stronger, I guess it’s safe to say that this kid had everything planned out.” The announcer said with a rather astonished tone.

“Not bad,” Lucas nodded while chuckling. “I should’ve seen that coming, that was really careless of me,” he nodded his head as he raised his hand. “But no more, Pachirisu, use Spark.” Pachirisu started running at Pikachu charging itself with blue electricity.

“Pikachu, use Volt Tackle!” Ashian ordered, Pikachu started running at a great speed as it surrounded itself with electric energy, the two electric types crashed with each other sending sparks flying all around the field as everyone stared in awe. “Come on,”

“This is not going to end well for you Ashian, just accept that!” Lucas yelled as Ashian was starting to get pushed back by the attack.

Ashian could notice that Lucas had started using Full Synchro on Pachirisu as he gritted his teeth, knowing the only way Pikachu could win was if they use Full Synchro themselves, but he still wasn’t able to risk it.

“So, what’s it going to be?’ Lucas asked Ashian looked back at his friends that were in the crowd; he wanted to win, even if it meant hurting himself.

“Go,” Pikachu was hit with the attack and was sent flying into the sky, but then it managed to stabilize itself as it looked down. “Synchro Attack, Thunder Shower!” Ashian yelled as Pikachu fired ten strong sharp thunders down to the field, Pachirisu could only stare in awe as it was hit and the field exploded into a cloud of smoke.

Hmm... Full Syncro... That's a nice ability. And nice naming for the Syncro attacks.

    CONCLUSION, THE WINNER IS…

As the dust cloud cleared Pikachu appeared barely standing on the ground as it tried to catch its breath. After using Thunder Shower a few seconds ago it was really tired, Ashian was trying to catch some air too; now he remembered why Full Synchro was dangerous. “Not so cool at the moment, you’ll get used to it, maybe,” Lucas said to him as he returned his unconscious Pachirisu.

“In case you hadn’t notice, I was testing you and your synchro on that last round, I wasn’t even using mine,” Lucas explained as Ashian opened his eyes wide, he had relied on his full synchro to win the round, and as it turns out Lucas was just bluffing.

“Then, I guess I’ll have to stop bluffing too,” Ashian chuckled, trying to convince Lucas that he was bluffing as well. “So, what’s your pick?”

“I’ll give you this,” Lucas took out a pokeball from his belt as he threw it onto the field. “Be ready for my Luxray!” as the pokeball popped open Lucas’s Luxray came out and growled. “Are you ready?”

“As I’ll ever will,” Ashian looked at the crowd to see his friend’s eager face. “Pikachu, go for a Quick Attack.” Pikachu started charging towards Luxray.

“You use Extreme Speed,” Luxray started to run at a super fast speed as it prepared to crash against Pikachu.

The two Pokémon collided hard as they pushed each other back, everyone in the crowd was sitting on the edge of their seats as Luxray started firing Discharges from its tail straight at Pikachu, Pikachu just tried to jump out of the way but was hit by one of them. “Looks like Pikachu lost a lot of energy in that last attack,” the announcer looked down to see Luxray charging on ahead.

“Pikachu, jump then Iron Tail.” Pikachu jumped from the floor and shot up into the sky ready to hit Luxray as its tail started glowing white.

Pikachu flew down as it spun around and hit the ground in front of Luxray making rocks fly out from the floor and make it walk back. “You okay Luxray?” Lucas asked; but his question was answered when Pikachu hit Luxray with another Iron tails and made it fall to the floor.

“Don’t give him even a minute to recover,” Ashian commanded as Pikachu tried to hit Luxray again. But Luxray turned around as it hit Pikachu back with its own Iron Tail; making it bounced on the floor twice. “Damn it,”

“I think I’m the one that won’t give you even a chance to recover,” Lucas grinned as Luxray sped forward with Extreme Speed as it tackled Pikachu hard with its head and made it crashed with the wall. “Over and out.”

“Looks like Pikachu had one too many hits on him,” Bryan said from the stands as he looked down at the field, still a bit mad that he had lost so early in the tournament, and that he didn’t even lose to the winner. “I hope Ashian is able to counter that,”

“We’ll just have to see, Lucas has some good moves too,” Henry nodded his head as he looked down. “But Ashian does too.”

Alexa just looked on, she had noticed when Ashian used Full Synchro, and how much he suffered from it. She was just hoping that he would not use it again if he knew what was good for him anyways.

“Return Pikachu,” Ashian returned Pikachu shortly after he fell unconscious, looking back at Lucas he clenched his fist as he took out his second pokeball. “I choose you Gallade!” Ashian sent out his strong Gallade as it assumed a fighting stance.

“Then I’ll finish this quickly, Luxray go and use Thunder!” Luxray charged a spark on its tail as it roared and fired a massive thunder that headed straight for Gallade. Gallade jumped swiftly out of the way as it landed on the field again, it swords glowing purple as it slashed Luxray.

“You can’t match Gallade’s speed, or his Psyco Cut,” Ashian chuckled confidently as he looked at Lucas. “Now Gallade, time for a Psybeam.”

“Luxray Quick Attack to get out of the way,” Luxray ran away from the rainbow colored beam Gallade fired as it circled it. “Now, Crunch it down.” It but hard on Gallade’s arm making it scream in agony from the pain. “As luck would have it, this is as good as over.”

“Not if I do this, Stone Edge!” Ashian yelled as Gallade stepped hard on the ground making rocks come out as they crashed with Luxray hard and sent it to the ground. Luxray slowly got up as it glared at Gallade. “I can’t believe it’s still able to go on.”

“Luxray’s stronger than you think Ashian, go use Spark.” Luxray started running straight at Gallade as it prepared to crash against it for a final blow.

“Go and use Night Slash, full force!” Gallade stretched its right arm as the sword was enveloped by darkness it charged straight forward towards Luxray, the Two Pokémon crashed their respective attacks against each other as they held on and tried to do the best they could to knock the other out immediately.

Gallade Eventually ran past Luxray as it kneeled down, Luxray fell to the ground unconscious from the attack. “Luxray’s unable to battle, Gallade wins.” The referee pointed a green flag towards Ashian.

“Guess you’re not half bad for a little brother after all,” Lucas grinned, still he was toying with Ashian, trying to see how far he’ll go and how much energy he would make his Pokémon spend just to win. “So, if you’re done now, go Staraptor!” Lucas sent out his Staraptor as it spread its wings and looked down on Gallade.

“Gallade, use Psychic and get it down here,” Ashian commanded as Gallade’s eyes glowed blue as it prepared to push Staraptor down, the bird Pokémon was too strong though, for some reason it not only managed to stay airborne but also to charge a Hyper Beam. “Not working, change to Psy Beam fast!” Ashian yelled.

“Too late for that now,” Lucas exclaimed as Staraptor fired a Hyper Beam that was so strong it practically sent Gallade flying back towards Ashian, making its trainer fall along with it as the too hit the hard ground that was near the stands. “Now that’s what happens when I don’t go easy,” Lucas laughed as he looked at Ashian, who was slowly getting up. “Fierce,”

“Return,” Ashian returned Gallade as he glared at Lucas for some time. “Okay, then, I’ll just have to step it up a notch, go Gliscor!” Ashian sent out his Gliscor onto the field as it flew up, till it was leveled with Staraptor and the two were staring at each other. “Use Iron Tail.”

Gliscor flew straight forward as it preparing to strike with its Iron Tails. Staraptor just flew out of the way as it hit Gliscor hard with a wing attack. Gliscor managed to get its composture back as it started fighting against Staraptor on the air, both of them trying to pier or strike the other as fast as they could.

“Arial Ace,” Ashian commanded as Gliscor dove down prepared to crash with Staraptor. Staraptor did its own Arial Ace as the two collided together, getting the air between them to separate drastically. “Get ready for a crash landing,” Gliscor grabbed Staraptor as it started diving down preparing itself to crash Staraptor against the floor.

“Whirlwind,” Staraptor sent a gust of wind that sent Gliscor flying away as Staraptor turned around and flew back up. “Peck.”

“Fire Fang,” Gliscor dodged the peck assault as it bit down on Staraptor making it scream not only from the bit but from the burning pain that the attack caused it. “Looks like that little birdie won’t last long, or at least I hope,” Ashian had a worried look on his Face.

“Wing Attack.” Staraptor hit Gliscor with its other wind making it let go from its grasp.

“Gliscor!” Ashian yelled as he saw Gliscor start to fall down.

“Turn around, the Brave Bird!” Lucas yelled as Staraptor turned to face Gliscor and started flying down, its body enveloped by blue energy as it prepared to crash against the scorpion like Pokémon. Gliscor took the attack held on as the two crashed with the ground, lifting a cloud of smoke.

As the cloud disappeared both Pokémon were seen lying on the ground defeated. “Looks like it’s a draw, both Pokémon are out.” The referee lifted both flags. Both trainers returned their Pokémon as they turned around and walked towards the locker room, Ashian was holding his hand closed to his arm, he was feeling a bit weaker after all those battles.

*You’re a great trainer Ashian, but you’re too reckless for your own good.* Lucas thought to himself as he kept walking forward.
Meanwhile outside of the stadium Jake was staring at the screen from a bench as he watched the battle. “Looks like this battle is going to be as promising as we thought,” Jake turned to the right to look at Evelyn who was eating a snow cone.

“Yeah, it’s so bad we have to leave before it ends,” she got up as she put on her backpack. “But, I think I just wanna return to Hoenn and train, and of course show my dad how much I’ve improved.” Evelyn giggled as Jake just chuckled a bit as he got up.

“Well, I guess we’ll see each other some other time,” Jake smiled as he and Evelyn nodded their heads, truth is the two knew each other since they were little kids since Ash and Misty had always stayed good friends they knew each other for a long time.

“Anyways, bye,” Evelyn waved as she walked off. “Next time, I’ll give you a great battle Ashian.” She said as she looked forwards.

“Well, I’m off too,” Jake grinned as he looked once again at the stadium. “I’ll get stronger,” he said confidently, it had been a great run but in the end the goal wasn’t reached after all. ‘And next time, I’ll beat you Ashian.”

“I’m sure you can beat him,” Alexa cheered Ashian as she went over to his side of the field where there was a bench. Henry and Bryan closed behind. “We just couldn’t stay in the stands watching you fight here.”

‘Thanks,” Ashian smiled as he got up. “You guys really helped me out all of this time, I really want to thank you, and I will by winning.” Ashian turned to Bryan. ‘You haven’t really helped me, but what the hell I’ll fight for you too.”

“Hey, shut it!” Bryan yelled. “Go and win for Pallet Town.” He grinned holding out his hand.

“Right,” Ashian shook his hand as he turned to the field.

    “Good luck.” They all cheered.

“Good friends, give me all you got you got it,” Lucas said to his little brother as the two stared at each other and nodded. “Done, and done.” Ashian gave him a thumb up. “But, you asked for it, keep that in mind, I choose you Exploud!” Ashian sent out his fourth Pokémon as his Exploud came out. “Can you fight his noise.

“I don’t know, can I, we’ll just have to see go Shiftry!” Lucas sent out his Shiftry as the two Pokémon glared at each other for a while. “Now, go and use Twister,” Shiftry sent two tornadoes flying straight at Exploud as it held its own ground, trying not to get blown away.

“Use Hyper Voice!” Ashian ordered as Exploud sent a barrage of shockwaves straight towards SHiftry, the Pokémon was blown away along with its Twister as it just stood up and fired a Hyper Beam.

“You can’t defeat me here,” Lucas said to Ashian as Exploud sent its own Hyper Beam towards it as the two attacks collided with each other trying their best to overcome the other.

“How can it withstand so much?” Ashian asked himself as he saw his Exploud digging its own feet onto the ground. “Okay, keep at it.” Ashian ordered as Exploud used even more strength trying to overcome its opponent, remembering how he had ended up with Ashian in the first place after his Gligar rescued it in the forest near Vermilion. Not just that but like any Whismur it was scared of its own shadow, if it wasn’t for Ashian and the others it wouldn’t have gotten so strong, so it had to pay back the favor.

“So, Shiftry, Synchro attack, Wind God Call!” Shiftry created a huge tornado that absorbed Exploud and sent him flying off from the ground.

“Exploud no,” Ashian looked up in awe as he saw his Pokémon up there spinning around like there was not tomorrow, he clenched his fist as he looked back at Alexa. “Sorry,” he opened his eyes wide and prepared to call out. “Synchro attack, Noise!” Loudred roared loudly as it sent a barrge of shockwaves all around the field, this waves sent Shiftry off of its feet as it fell down to the floor.

Loudred landed on its own two feet as it looked at the defeated Shiftry. “Good work,” Ashian gave him a thumb up as Lucas returned his Pokémon. “And then there were two,” he exclaimed referring to how many Pokémon Lucas had left.

“Go, Salamance!” Lucas sent his Salamance out as it spread its wings and glared down at Exploud. “Go and take it down you hear!” Salamance started diving down as it hit Exploud with an Arial Ace.

“Seismic Toss,” Ashian commanded as Exploud grabbed Salamance and threw it to the floor crashing it down with the ground. Salamance was prepared though; it opened its mouth as it fired at Hyper Beam right on Exploud’s face. “That’s not good,” Ashian grunted.

“Salamance, Brick Break.” Salamance got up as it slammed its claw on Exploud’s chest making it go back a few steps.

“Now, Draco Meteor!” Salamance flew forwards its body surrounded by a green aura as it collided against Exploud’s stomach making it crash with the wall as Exploud fell unconscious, Ashian felt a hit on his gut as he knelt down.

“Return, good work Exploud,” Ashian looked down at the pokeball as he put it back on his belt. “Go, Exceptile.” Ashian sent out his Sceptile as its swords opened up and started to glow green.

“Not bad, let’s see what it can do against Salmance,” Lucas looked at Ashian as he prepared to give the command. “Use Flamethrower!” Salamance fired a jet of flames straight at Sceptile.

“You’re predictable brother, Sceptile, out of the way,” Sceptile jumped out of the way as it fired a barrage of bullet seed s that crashed against Samance’s body. Salamance fired a Hyper Beam but Sceptile managed it hit it with a Leaf Blade.

“Don’t think so, Dragon Claw!” Salamance pounded on Sceptile with its claw as Sceptile tried to hold it and stop it. “We have to win,” Sceptile managed to lift Salamance and saw its chance to slash it with Leaf Blade right on the gut.

“Now, Synchro Attack, Omega Blade!” Sceptile’s blade grew longer and sharper as it started running towards Salamance as it prepared to strike.

“Synchro attack, Wing Clash!” Lucas yelled as Salamance and Sceptile crossed each other as each of the slashed each other on the chest.

“Did it work?” Ashian asked as he looked as the two Pokémon. Salamance fell down. “Yes it did,”

“But did it,” Lucas grinned as Salamance fell to the ground as well.

“One last battle, and its all over folks.” The announcer said as both Ashian and Lucas pulled out their last and final pokeball. “What will happen?”

“Here goe, our one last chance, go Charizard!” Ashian sent his Charizard out as it spread its wings, ready to fight against its opponent.

“Empoleon, you’re up!” Empoleon appeared as it glared at Salamance knowing it was all or nothing from here on out. ‘Go and use Drill Peck.” Empoleon jumped and started spinning as it headed straight towards Salamance.

“Defend with Fire Punch!” Ashian yelled as Salamance punched the Drill Peck trying to hold it back. But Empoleon stopped spinning as its wings started to glow white and it slashed Charizard. Charizard was sent back but it managed to stay on his feet . “Full Synchro,” Ashian and Charizard connected their minds.

“Us too,” Lucas said, now the two were in full synchro and ready to fight as both Pokémon charged. Empoleon fired a Hydro Pump so strong it broke the sound barrier, but Charizard countered with a Fire Blast as the two attacks collided and exploded.

The Pokémon kept fighting, fist clashing, kicks and metal breaking and screams of pains were heard all around as everyone stare at the battle as the two brother went at it, Ashian and Lucas had cuts all over their body as they tried to stay on their feet.

“Charizard, we have to try and finish them fast!” Ashian yelled as Charizard fired a strong jet of red flames straight at Empoleon.

“Let’s go!” Empoleon sent a torrent of water straight ahead as the Hydro Pump crashed with the Blast Burn and the two exploded. “You may be strong, but not so strong.”

Charizard fired an Over Heat but Empoleon got out as it slashed with its Steel Wing, Charizard grabbed it and threw it to the ground with a Seismic Toss.

“It all comes down to this,” Alexa muttered as both Trainer assumed a battle stand.

*We’re brothers, but at the same time rivals, and yet we can still say we’re really great friends* both of the trainers thought.

“I started this journey to win the league and become champion, so I won’t lose!” Ashian yelled as Charizard spread its wings. “Synchro Attack, Dragon Impulse!” Charizard created a dragon made out of flames as it flew straight at Empoleon together with Ashian’s consciousness.

“Synchro Attack, Hydro Jet!” Empoleon was enveloped by a torrent of water but it was so storng that it destroyed everything in its path as it spun straight at Charizard.

The Two attacks crashed with each other, each holding out, trying to defeat the other at the trainers gave it their all. His journey came down to this last attack, his Pokémon, his friends, his adventures; it would all end after this and no matter what was the result. “It was fun while it lasted,” Ashian grinned as the there was an explosion that blew the whole field up as everyone shook.

“Wow, what happened, one minute they were fighting and now,” the announcer looked down at the field trying to see through the smoke we can’t see anything, wait.” He looked down as he saw both Pokémon struggling to stand up just like their trainers.

    ‘They’re still going?” Alexa asked.

“No, first one to fall loses,” Henry said since both trainers seemed pretty tired.

Ashian and Lucas grinned at each other as well as their Pokémon. “You are strong after all, good work,” Lucas chuckled. Empoleon smiled as it looked back at its trainer.

“Yeah I am…” Ashian closed his eyes. “But not enough for you,” then in one swift second both he and Charizard fell to the ground as his friends looked in awe when they saw him crash with the floor along with Charizard.

“Charizard is unable to battle, the winner of the battle and champion of Kanto is Lucas from Twinleaf Town in Sinnoh!” the announcer yelled as the crowd erupted in chears as a stretcher was brought to take Ashian to the hospital.

Even though he had lost he was still smiling as his body was taken away, reminiscing on his memories. “Can’t win them all I guess,” he looked up at the sky. “I’ll get stronger, and one day, I know my dream…will come true.” He smiled as he fell into unconsciousness.

Uh, problem: Luxray can't learn Extreme Speed.

Poor Ashian... so close, yet so far away.

    That's why it's a special Luxray (I actually I didn't know that, my bad)

I wanted him to win, but I thought that it'll be kind of Gary Stuish if Ashian who just started training a year ago defeated not only the league but the Sinnoh Champion.

EPILOGUE: LET’S GO TO THE FUTURE

The sky was filled with the noise of music and people screaming or cheering as everyone was either getting out of the stadium to go to the Pokémon League’s after party, or already there and celebrating. After Lucas’s victory there had been some commotion about what happened to Ashian, but everything was settled down and things got back to normal.

Lucas was finishing a can of soda holding his hand over his trophy as he scouted a girl or two, figuring they would want to dance with the champ. He looked towards the corner, which was where the beach was. “I hope he hadn’t taken it too hard on himself.”

What Lucas was referring to is Ashian, who was sitting on the sand of the beach; without his shoes of course as he stared into the sea. He recovered fast after the battle, but his Pokémon had to stay in the Pokémon Center. Even though he knew he couldn’t whine he was still mad that he lost.

“Hey, what’s with Ashian, this is a party?” Bryan asked as he walked over to Henry while eating a hotdog.

“Come on man, he’s gotta mope, the dude has been travelling for a year and it all came down to losing.” Henry said to Bryan, who was just frowning.

“Well boohoo, talk to the other hundreds of trainers that lost, or me, or Evelyn, he shouldn’t be moping around,” Bryan took another bite, although he practically ripped off the hotdog.

“There’s a difference between losing in the second round and losing in the finals, and that is the closer you get the harder it is to accept losing.” Henry explained as he saw Alexa walking towards the beach; she had been a little serious too since Ashian lost.

Alexa took off her shoes as she walked over to Ashian and sat down. “Want some company?” Alexa asked as she sat down.

“I wouldn’t mind,” Ashian shrugged, not turning to look at Alexa. He had broken his promise to her, and aside from that still lost; so he was really depressed when he looked at her.

“I know how you may feel Ashian, feeling that you got so close and yet, you ended up so far,” Alexa looked down at the sand with a sad smile as she played with the sand. “It happened to me a lot,” she smiled as she looked at Ashian.

“Yeah, but I failed everyone,” Ashian finally responded as he looked down. “My mom, my friends, my dad…” he trailed off as a tear started to run down for his eyes.

It didn’t took long before the eleven year old burst in tears as Alexa wrapped her arms around him and patted his head. “I know, but, you don’t have to cry Ashian, that’s not like you.” Alexa rested her head on his as she felt her own tears starting to run down.

“So, you can’t cry,” she raised his head so that their eyes would connect. “Here,” she took off some kind of heart shaped necklace she was wearing, it was golden and had her name written in golden letters. “I know that we will part ways after this, but always remember, I’m always helping you out.” She put the necklace on his hand and closed it. “And don’t forget, the end only leads to a new beginning.” She nodded her head.

“Thanks Alexa,” Ashian smiled as he clenched the hand the necklace was in. “I think you’re right.”

“Of course, I always am,” Alexa chuckled.

“You can be really cocking sometimes you know…” Ashian and Alexa shut up so that they could hear the song that was playing, a slow song the reminded them a lot of the song they danced to at Alexa’s twelfth birthday party. Ashian got up and he stretched his hand. “So, wanna relieve some memories.”

“Actually, I would,” Alexa grabbed his hand as she stood up, they put their hands together as Ashian put his other hand on her back as the two started following the music, ignoring how uncomfortable the sand was as they just looked at each other with smiles.

    ***

The sun was rising over the mountains as footsteps were heard approaching the fork that separated, Pallet Town from Viridian City. “Okay, here it is.” Ashian said as he, Henry and Alexa reached the fork, Bryan had decided to stay behind and to capture some more Pokémon before returning home. “Back to my house I guess,” he turned around to look at Henry and Alexa. ‘What are you guys gonna do now?”

“I thought, I could keep travelling for a while you know, only a while, then I’ll come back here,” Henry nodded his head, after all Ashian had promised to at least let him live with him, better than have him go back to the Pokémon Warrior temple in Viridian Forest.

“I’m going to Viridian City to take the train back to Celadon,” Alexa answered nodding her head as the trio looked at each other, with each second that passed they remembered all the adventures they went through, all the good and bad times and all the times each one of them filled the roll of making the others worry.

“Yeah, I guess this is it then,” Ashian turned around and started walking, surprising everyone.

“Wait that’s all?” they both asked when hey noticed a tear trailing down his face. They just calmed down and nodded their heads.

“Yeah, what, did you expect for me to cry or something?” Ashian exclaimed in his voice it was noticeable that he was holding back the tears.

“Yeah, that’s a good point,” Alexa chuckled.

“True, that’s not like Ashian,” Henry did the same as the two turned to the Viridian sign. “Well then, see ya later man,” Henry started walking.

“Remember, always together,” Alexa gave him a thumb up as she followed Henry, leaving Ashian standing in the sign that let to Pallet as he let out the tears.

“Yeah,” Ashian held the necklace. “Always together,” he put it back in his pocket as he started running towards Pallet down.

Even though we are all going our separate ways, we’re all together in the same way, we all have dreams that we share, the memories we went through together and we all have a way to meet again. Some of us may disappear, either to become stronger, or to rely on their own and fight for their own instead of for their heritage, or to just have fun. I may be saying goodbye to my friends, but the memories in my mind will always be with me and the memories they have will always be with them.

Plus, like a wise friend once said to me, and end only means that a new beginning is about to start. And here’s where I start mine.

    THE END

    Thanks for reading

Well it depends if you have them or not, honestly it's been so long since I started posting blogs that I don't remember, but I think that when you view a blog there's an option that tells you to post to your blog or something, I think that's how it works.
