Good chapter.
If I lived in your story I wouldn't trust anybody. ANYBODY.
Good chapter.
Ah, so these next few chapters will be to elaborate on the origins of this 'resistance' in Fallarbor Town? Nice.
I like the way you put alot of effort into character development. It makes it much easier to understand and empathise/sympathise with the characters.
Though if I might make a suggestion? Maybe put something like 'Several years earlier...' at the start of that chapter. Just so anyone reading knows straight away that it isnt a continuation of the story, but a flashback. Just a suggestion. ;D
Chapter 9
THE BROKEN
“Will you marry me?” Ernest’s face was full of happiness as he proposed to Aimee, his girlfriend of two years.
A look of confusion covered Aimee’s face, her hazel eyes squinted and she covered her face with her hands. She removed her hands from her face, brushing away some of the blonde strokes of hair that fell when she lowered her head. A look of regret covered her face as she started to speak.
“Ernest,” She said in a weak voice, barely holding her tears in. “I’m not who you think I am.”
“What are you talking about?” Ernest laughed, but the nervousness was showing. “You’re Aimee. The greatest person ever.”
It was a starry night in Rustboro City. The couple was near the fountain, sitting on the edge of it. Ernest traveled all the way from Mossdeep, while Aimee had been living in Rustboro her whole life. They met when they were young in school, and only started dating a couple of years ago.
“My name isn’t Aimee,” She began to cry. “I’ve been lying to you my entire life.”
“What are you saying?” Ernest’s voice dropped. Fear came over him and his mind began to jump to all kinds of conclusions.
“My real name is Patsy,” She said. “I’m not working for Devon Corporation, I am working to infltirate them.”
Ernest fell silent. He knew she wasn’t lying by the tone of her voice. She also had no reason to lie. “Why are you telling me this?” He finally spoke after minutes of awkward silence.
“Because I don’t want to be their puppet anymore,” Patsy cried. “I don’t want to be controlled by them anymore!”
“Who are they?”
“Everyone,” Patsy said. “Every single person in Hoenn.”
Ernest once again fell silent, and he never said anything. “You never know who’s watching you,” Patsy said. “They’re everywhere. You don’t know who’s working for them.”
Ernest sat silent as Patsy gathered her thoughts and explained to him who they are and how they want to rebuild Hoenn. Ernest believed what she said. He trusted her even though she has been lying to him. “Why don’t you just leave?” Ernest said after Patsy finished explaining the situation. “Run away from them, with me.”
“They will find us,” Patsy said. Her voice had calmed down and her tears had ended. “We will never escape them.”
“Why don’t we try,” Ernest smiled. “You never know.”
Patsy stared into his eyes for a long time, her face slowly regained joy and she nodded. “Alright,” Patsy said. “But first we have to take the research they wanted me to hand in.”
“Where is it?” Ernest asked. He was determined to stop these people from destroying and rebuilding Hoenn.
“Devon Corporation,” Patsy replied. “The top floor.”
As Ernest and Patsy made their way to Devon Corporation using Patsy’s Tropius, Ernest thought about how his decisions were all made for Patsy. He never thought about it rationally and just followed his own desires of being with her.
They managed to climb in through the window. Ernest was surprised when he found that Patsy disabled the alarm quite easily. She had been trained to do all these things that Ernest could never imagine Aimee doing. But Aimee was gone, she was never real, it had always been Patsy.
Ernest followed her quietly through the building, and they made their way to a desk at the far end of a hall. All he could think about is how he had fallen for her lies and how she tricked him into believing she was someone else. “I need some electricity,” Patsy whispered. “To operate my machine that will allow me to open the desk without damaging it. It’s locked.”
The fact that this was supposed to be Patsy’s desk and that there must be a source of electricity in the building completely slipped Ernest’s mind. And he sent out his duo, Plusle and Minun.
The pair powered up Patsy’s machine and she managed to open the desk and a safe that was hidden inside the desk. “I lied again,” Patsy said, though regret didn’t cover her face now. “I used you to get these documents. I was instructed to do this. They will kill you. They told me to tell you everything so that they can blame you for these stolen documents, and eventually kill you.” Patsy started crying, it a different type of crying, this one showed that she was truly sorry. “I am very sorry, but you have to get away before they find you. I’ll tell them you escaped.”
“Come with me!” Ernest cried. “You don’t have to be with them anymore! Just abandon them!”
“I’m afraid she can’t do that,” The lights in the room lit up and a figure stood at the end of the room, a figure that was recognizable, Steven Stone. “She can never run away, she’s our property and she has more on the line that both of your lives.”
Plusle and Minun jumped over Ernest’s shoulders and prepared to defend him. It was only when Steven’s Metagross crashed through the wall that the pair cowered away and Ernest froze in fear. “You will still die,” Steven said. “She will live.”
At the moment where it all seemed lost, Tropius flew through a window and grabbed Ernest, with Plusle and Minun barely holding on to him. The group flew out of the hole Metagross made, with Ernest looking back to see Patsy smiling, it was Aimee’s smile.
Ernest understood that it was Patsy’s plan to save his life through Tropius. She wanted him to know about all the secrets she held, and live. Her eyes filled with the regret that she had always had.
Ernest and the Pokémon disappeared into the horizon and Steven approached Patsy. He was neither angry nor sad that Ernest got away, he simply asked for the documents she obtained. Patsy handed them to Steven.
“I know how you feel like,” Steven said. “I’m sick of them too, they’re just controlling us.”
“Why don’t we just quit?”
“It’s not an option.” Steven said as he walked away, planning on handing the research he obtained back to the International Police. In is mind he planned on leaving and going rouge, even if it meant his demise. He no longer believed in their goal to rebuild Hoenn and wanted to stop them. This was his last mission.
The story was simple. Ernest stole some important research from the Devon Corporation and damaged the building. He also tried to kill his Steven Stone, and his own girlfriend Aimee.

Sometimes... i get very sad to read this story that how interpol, or maybe intercriminals blame everything on a person who just saw what happened.
Geez, everyone is a back-stabber in this story. But, I enjoy reading it.

Chapter 10
THE SUCCESSOR TO ALL
Priela. A young girl from Mauville City, an innocent child, everyone who knows her loves her, and her parents are very proud to have her in their lives. Most people would describe it as the perfect family. Not only is Priela the most well behaved child in the city, but she was also the best young Pokémon trainer.
Always accompanied by her Roselia, her first and most dedicated Pokémon. She was given to Priela by her parents during one of her birthdays, and has been with her ever since, always by her side.
She had two Pokéballs that she carried around as well. They contained a Pokémon she caught herself, Oddish, and a Pokémon that was awarded to her during a competition, Surskit.
Her father, Cary, had trained her ever since she was little to become a great trainer, and she even surpassed him. While her mother, Aurora, is a retired Pokémon Coordinator. In her active years, Aurora was one of the best, unrivaled by any but few.
It was another sunny day by the beach on Route 118, and Priela had just won another battle with Roselia.
“You’re a strong one,” The female Priela was battling said as she withdrew her Gulpin. “What’s your name?”
“My name is Priela,” She said with a happy voice. “What’s your name?”
“My name is Aimee,” The female said as she reattached Gulpin’s Pokéball to her belt. “I’m from Rustboro City. I was sent here by the champion to search for the best trainer in all of Hoenn.” She walked over to Priela and lowered her body so that her face was directly facing Priela’s. “And I think I’ve just found you.”
“You think I’m the best trainer in all of Hoenn?” Priela shouted. She excited for the future that seemed so fun and bright. Her parents had always promised she would have a bright future that will use her skills. “Did you hear that Roselia? We’re the best in Hoenn!”
Aimee smiled as she saw Roselia jump and hug Priela, they really were happy about their win. “Can I speak to your parents?” Aimee said after the pair clamed down. “I’d like to discuss taking you to training with me. It’s going to be great!”
Priela agreed to Aimee’s offer and led her to her house. She was invited in and met Cary and Aurora. The adults discussed Priela’s future as the little girl went to play with her Pokémon in her room.
“I would like to take Priela with me,” Aimee said. “She will be trained to become an ever stronger trainer. It is completely safe. We have the International Police protecting our headquarters, Gym Leaders are contributing to this project, and even more highly known individuals are involved in this.”
“That does sound very interesting,” Cary replied. “Are there any others taking part in this training?”
“Yes,” Aimee replied immediately. “There are many young children who have a lot of potentials. I’m sure Priela would make such good friends with all of them. These children will lead the new Hoenn.”
“What do you mean by the new Hoenn?” Aurora asked as she served some treats.
“It’s what we use to refer to future generations of Hoenn,” Aimee explained. “The kids are our future.”
“That’s true,” Cary laughed. “I’m very interested in your program. Is there any more information we need to know.”
“That’s pretty much it,” Aimee said. She leaned back and her back rested on the back of the armchair she was sitting on. “Everything will be paid by us. There is no need to worry about Priela, you can visit her at anytime, and even take her out of the program.”
“Where did you say you were stationed again?” Aurora asked at the mention of visiting Priela.
“Battle Frontier,” Aimee replied as she got up. “Our headquarters are there. As I said before, it is very safe.”
“Alright then,” Cary said and shook Aimee’s hands. “All we need left is Priela’s approval.”
Cary and Aurora asked Priela to come out of her room and they informed her of all they knew, and gave her their permission. Priela’s mind was already set, and before long, Aimee accompanied her to their headquarters in the Battle Frontier.
“I see great potential in you,” Aimee said. The pair was standing on the deck of the ship taking them to the Battle Frontier. “You will be a great trainer, and help us greatly.”
“Do you really think so?” Priela was nervous, and her voice didn’t hide it. “Do you think I will be a strong trainer like my daddy?”
“Yes,” Aimee smiled. “I believe you can even be the nest champion if you wished to.” She smiled. “You will be our successor.”
Priela smiled, she was unaware of the grim future that was waiting for her. The horrors that she will witness at such a young age, and the battles she must go through, they could have been easily avoided. A simple decision ruined her life. Although Aimee told Cary and Aurora the truth about what was going on and what they were doing, they were only the parts that didn’t include mass murder and destruction of Hoenn.
Aimee put of a fake smile, though deep down she knew, Patsy knew, that what she did was unforgivable. She had condemned a young life to go through what no one must. Patsy still regretted what she did to many other children before Priela, she regretted what she did to Ernest, and she wanted to get away from all of these people, though she knew it was not possible.
Training children, stealing, killing, and destroying, these people went to extreme measure to achieve what seemed to be a great goal. But Patsy had lost her faith in their goal a long time ago, and as much as she wanted to repel and break out of their vicious grip, she feared for her life, and she hated herself for it.
And the Battle Frontier, too. So, is The Grand Alliance Of Hoenn's Rebirth torturing or simply brainwashing these kids?

Chapter 11
DAWN OF A NEW BATTLE
“Why don’t you sit down,” Ernest said in a cold voice. “We can tell you of all our progress so far.”
Aura turned around to look at Skarmory, who was nowhere to be seen. She guessed he was guarding the house from above. And with a clear mind, she sat down at the fifth and only empty chair.
“Where should we begin?” Von directed his question at Enya, who simply stared back in silence. “Very well then,” Von let out a chuckle and leaned forward. “By our conversation earlier, I’m guessing you know almost everything that is going on.”
“Yes,” Aura nodded. “Kill everybody, build a new Hoenn, and lead it.” Aura summarized her information and looked at the people in front of her for more information.
“They are recruiting children,” Ernest broke the silence. “A woman named Patsy, but goes by the name Aimee, is recruiting children. They are training these kids to become the next leaders of Hoenn, the next Gym Leaders, Elite 4, Frontier Brains, and many other positions of power.”
“They recruited me,” Priela said. “But let’s just say things didn’t go so well between us.” She winked at Aura and let out a small childish giggle.
“I can’t say I’m surprised to hear this…” Aura said. “Do you know where this Patsy is?”
“No,” Ernest said. “But I don’t think we should kill her.”
“Why not?” Enya finally spoke. “We should kill all of them, especially that sick person who uses children!”
Ernest flinched but didn’t respond. Although the group was composed of close friends that got to know each other through their hardships, none of them knew about each other’s past but their leader.
“That won’t make us any better than them,” Von said. “We should just work on stopping them for now, not annihilating all the recognizable figures in Hoenn, that won’t help our already bad reputation.”
“By far, you’ve had the worst reputation,” Enya said. “The news of all of us were never as big as yours, we aren’t as wanted as you. The only person who might be wanted more than you is our leader.”
“But everyone thinks I’m dead,” Aura said. “So there won’t be anyone who’s out to get me.”
“Hoenn thinks you’re dead,” Ernest said. “But they know you’re alive, they will find that your dead body is no longer where it’s supposed to be.”
Aura sat silent for a moment. “What have you people been doing to stop them?”
“This is where it gets interesting,” Von started. “We have-“
“We’ve stopped most of their research,” Enya interrupted. “It’s going to be hard for them to find Groudon and Kyogre now, who they need to rebuild Hoenn. We’ve also got spies working for the International Police. The leader thinks this is helping, but I still say we should kill them all.”
“You should drop that idea,” Ernest said. “It’s not going to work if we just go and start a war. That’s crazy.”
“Why do I feel like you’re defending them?” Enya stared at Ernest. He turned his head away and lowered it, again falling silent.
“It’s not much,” Von said. “But it is helping.” He immediately stared at Enya to stop her from interrupting.
“I don’t think it’s going to work either,” Aura said. “I agree with Enya to an extent. Kill the people responsible, and let the minorities go.”
“So you’re saying that we should kill most of the people involved,” Von said. “And let the people who are not heavily involved go.”
“Yes.”
“I don’t mean to sound rude but,” Von leaned back in his chair and seemed to take a defensive stance. “Did you know that your father worked for them?”
Aura fell silent. Her father, Adrian, had been the most loving and peaceful father she could think of. It was impossible for him to want the destruction of Hoenn.
“He was recruited by them as a child,” Von continued when he knew that Aura wasn’t going to give a response. “He served for them and was a major part of planning the caves underneath Fortree.”
Absol lowered his head, a gesture that indicated to Aura that he knew this, and it was true. Adrian would occasionally take Absol with him to protect him, and Absol had memorized most of the tunnels, which is why he managed to guide Aura through on many occasions.
“Your father eventually saw the truth,” Von said. “He decided to leave them and came to us for help, when in fact he helped us. He became a spy for us, and when they found about him, he was killed.”
“He died in a flood.” Aura protested, trying to find a hole in the story.
“They can destroy cities,” Von said. “Don’t you think they can stage a flood?”
“So you’re saying my father died because of you,” Aura’s face was void of any emotion. “Because he helped you, he’s now dead. Why would I want to help you? When I can easily travel to another region and leave the past behind me.”
“Because you can never forget the past,” Ernest said. “It’s stuck with you forever.” He took a long pause. “We didn’t kill your father, he knew what he was getting into, and he died fighting for what you want to do right now. He was the same as you. He wanted to everyone involved punished, except for those who have been lied to.”
“Don’t quit,” Priela said. “I know you want revenge, think of it as an extra motivation.”
“I will help you,” Aura said. “But not for my you or my father. I’m doing it for myself. When I have the chance, I will kill Winona, and you won’t stop me.”
“Fine,” Von said. “We’ll leave that issue for the leader to decide. But let’s get back to the main point, the spies we have.” Von couldn’t believe that he had allowed the conversation to get so sidetracked. “We know that the International Police are planning on raiding this town and capturing us.”
“I thought you said they weren’t going to as to not draw attention.” Aura said.
“That’s true,” Von replied. “But they wanted to eliminate us anyway, they have always had an excuse. They can easily claim that they interrogated you and concluded that we are in this town, that we helped you, and that we should be killed.”
“So what will we do?” Aura asked.
“It’s fairly simple,” Von smiled. “There are many others that are on our side, as well as innocent civilians living here who are clueless to what is going on. You and Ernest will go find the leader. Priela will search for him as well, but on her own. Enya and I, as well as many others here, will fight the International Police and get as many people as we can out of here, and head out to our next destination, which is yet to be decided.”
“I’m glad to have met you Aura,” Priela smiled as she got up. “Let’s go Roselia!” A small Pokémon came out of the shadows of the room. She was green in color and covered in a leaf skirt, and holding a blue and a red rose, one on each hand. The Pokémon followed Priela out of the house, to search for their leader.
“Let’s go Aura,” Ernest got up and walked out of the house. Aura followed him to find a large Pokémon with a long neck waiting for her. The Pokémon had wings of leaves. “That’s Tropius, he was given to me by someone very dear to me.” Ernest climbed onto the Pokémon’s back and put his hand out for Aura. “Don’t be afraid,” He said. “I know how to fly him. There’s even enough room for Absol and Sableye.”
Aura took his hand and climbed along with her Pokémon, and the pair took flight. Ernest knew where Priela went and where they should search. Aura wondered why she had trusted these people so easily. She had gotten into a larger battle than what she had originally wanted. Her original goal was Winona, not it was this unnamed organization that wanted to destroy Hoenn. It truly was a chaos that could only end in a disaster.
Another nice chapter.
Is Looker part of a conspiracy to destroy Sinnoh or Unova, too? I can imagine Cyrus at least convincing the gym leaders to help him bring Dialga and Palkia to the earth in order to rewrite reality, although they wouldn't know what he actually plans to do.
I'm going to guess the leader is Wattson. If I missed the chapter with the leader in it, please tell me so.
