High school. Moving the trivia bit:

• I'm not sure how many words this fic has in it. Its title is a reference to the titles of the Gold and Silver remakes.
• This is my first shipping fic, and was originally planned to be much longer, at one point, it had an ending mirroring a skit from Don Hertzfeldt's rejected, another was going to be a crapload longer, and would have taken the ship to a whole new level, and the two would have kids together, etc. Of course, Silver would have died in childbirth, as with many sappy movies where the (pontentially axe crazy) single widower father is the only role model, and Giovanni would have popped up for a pretty cool Andrew Ryan-y moment (no golf clubs involved). But I'm really lazy (and, I wanted to get this fic over with), so I just did this.
• I'm a homophobe, not a backwoods "KILL IT WITH FIRE!" homophobe, just a "Can you please not wear a mesh shirt?" homophobe.
• Hunter/PreciousMetalShipping is one of my favorite ships in any incarnation, because any rival is in the top percentage of epic.
• I know this has been said a million times before, but this mediocre shipping fic is dedicated to Kayi Rowling, the newest mod of the Writer's Workshop!

Thank you, actually I hadn't read this because, like you I hate yaoi with my life, which is what I thought this fic had, then I started skimming through it and saw that you made Silver a girl, still a bit creepy but good enough for me to read.

I liked how you portrayed Lyra though maybe she was a little crazier than I expected.

That is true. Upon rereading it, I've realized that I was subliminally basing her character off of Jack Nicholson's acting.

From The Shining I presume. And thanks to you portraying Silver as a girl I found the shipping fic I had to nominate for the awards.
