End of it All
Another dark, foreboding title? It must be a Blackjack fic! I rather like the POV on this one...
He's around here somewhere, I know it. Years of being at his side have given us a like mind, and I know he's in trouble.
The entire Headquarters is in ruins, and I know the Team is over. But is still alive, I know he is.
I slink through the building, trying not to think about the agents and invaders littering the hallways. One of them, though, is the traitor, the hideous mask still glinting. With a hiss, I knock it off him and tear into his pallid face, marking him beyond recognition before continuing on.
Finally I reach the office. The door is open a crack, the body of an invader blocking it from closing. I step over it and look around for my master.
"...Persian..." He says my name with a painful dullness, and I turn to face him. He is slumped against the wall, looking over at me with glassy eyes. I try not to look at the wound in his chest as I approach him, nuzzling under his chin to comfort him.
"...I'm done for," he sighs, oddly detached. Raising a hand to my head to scratch between my ears, he whispers "...stay with me...?"
I nod, purring sadly.
"...good kitty..." His hand stills, and falls to his side.
But good to my word, I stay with him.
Cool point of view there, definitely. And of course it ends in DEATH! :-D.
Gio should have gotten to say "I'm glad you're here with me, at the end of all things..." :-D.
It's funny, really, I'm a rather upbeat person. Perhaps I get all my angst out in fic form.
Who knows? Anyway, quite cool, if short.
Yeah, I can't really seem to write longer stuff...
That's okay. Of late, I can't seem to write anything...horrendous blockage.
