    Default Splicing with Paint.NET?

Whenever I try to splice Pokemon in Paint.NET, it always ends up like this:
Please help me! (If you can't tell the difference, the extra pixels I selected are covering part of Porygon's tail, which I don't want.)

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out myself. Could a mod please lock this?

I think the problem is your not making the extra pixels (white ones) transparent. When you select an area, on the left hand side the screen, below the toolbar, you will see two buttons. Each has 3 coloured shapes in (blue cylinder, red circle, green square). You must click the bottom of these two buttons before moving the selected area. The problem may be more complex but I hope this solves it. :)

I think that's with MS Paint. I'm trying to do it in Paint.NET
