Hey everyone, I am in a herculean work: I'll model every single pokemon! hahaha
Well my english is not that good (feel free to correct me, alright?) but I'll try to do my best to show you my work-in-progress and I wanna listen your suggestions about what is good and what is not.

So here we go:

Oh wow, nice work! 8D So, you're doing the dex challenge using 3D modelling? That's brave! I wish you luck!

The Magneton is brilliant, though if it's okay for me to say I wouldn't mind seeing darker tone and eyes with more emotion on the Caterpie. Regardless, the Caterpie is really well modelled!

I'm an animation student myself and we've had experience with 3D software, so believe me when I say that I know how complicated it is to add things like pupils and other particular details, light spots and the like to certain parts of the body in 3D modelling (hell, I'm impressed that you managed to include Caterpie's ring patterns!) so I really don't expect you to know how to do what I typed above, the crit is just to sort of hint at things you could take into consideration it if you haven't already.

With that in mind, how long have you been using 3D software? You're really talented with it! A lot better than me... >>

This is amazing work, really realistic. What program are you using for this?

Are you an animator too? Cool! I am using 3D softwares for some time but was only this year I start to receive (money) for my work so I am studying a lot of techniques.

Wow, I've seen a lot of Blender stuff, but nothing as good as this. Now that I know you can end up with results like this, I might have to get into it.

At the moment, I'm sort of a novice (only have a few second long/looped animations). I've been drawing seriously for about 5 years now, though. Digitally for 3-4 years.

*Nod* Considering this especially, you're really talented! =)

Oh, that'd be cool! Would be interesting to see... I might be a little preoccupied, though, depending on how huge the workload is for college. My forte is 2D for the time being, also. Maybe I could make some backgrounds/background characters? Please take a look at my work and see what you think would be best (my thread's in the link above).

Yeah, Blender is not the best but it's free and if you wanna do some professional work in 3D it's better use a free software instead a pirate one.

Awesome! So you are trying to draw them all too!

And about the animation, I never create good scripts, could you do this? For a short history (2 minutes max) and you can create the characters (model sheets, etc) too.
It will be great! =D


By the way, I put some old stuff in this topic today (Dugtrio and Baltoy)

That Dugtrio is pretty much the best 3D modelling I've ever seen. Probably because I really like Dugtrio.

Those are very awesome. I especially like Magneton because it's so polished.

Lol'd at Poliwag. I like the Magneton the best, it's metallic luster looks so real. I'd say, If you were to do a Porygon and/or any of it's evolutions, I think you'll be able to create them flawlessly.
