ROFLcopter: Iraqi Assault
Alright I'm tempted
There's gotta be some sort of tutorial on how to draw Sugimori style. I've found it almost impossible to do and everything turns out in my old "semi-bird's eye view, light coming in all directions."
On a second note, a shading tutorial would be nice too, since all I see myself doing is shading the bottom edge of everything.

Coming soon to a TCG near you..

I'm looking for the same thing, I've seen a couple people who seem to have gotten pretty close to perfectly matching him, but they won't tell...

mmmm... The best thing I can tell you is get a lot of official pictures and study them. See what is the line, bidy shapes, and eye style is like and practice. That's all I know for how to help on drawing in another person's style.
Sugimori's style is pretty angular and smooth if you ask me with a pantbrush style color, what else I can't really describe in words.
