Beedrill caught off guard instantly freezes up and stops it’s forward movement. Beedrill hesitates and that is all the time Montage needs and he jumps up at Beedrill. Beedrill prematurely fires off a barrage of Pin Missiles at the ground where Montag just was, but soon stops as Montag fires a shower of Ember at Beedrill most of it hitting it’s chest and sending it crashing to the ground. Using his momentum Montag directs himself and lands right on Beedrill. He then proceeds to bite ferociously at Beedrill’s chest with a Fury Attack. Beedrill screams in pain and flails about and manages to knock Montag off with a hit to the head. Beedrill darts forward and hits Montag with a Fury Attack of it’s own managing to hit your Houndour five times and sending him back a bit. Beedrill seems to have sustained a lot of damage and is running out of energy. Montag has taken some damage as well from Beedrill’s Fury Attack, but he is faring a lot better than his adversary. Beedrill’s two arm spears begin to glow once again as it aims it’s next attack at Montag.

    What will you do?
    (OMG A CASCADIA UPDATE!)

Wow, thought Beka, that actually worked. He watched a Montag landed perfectly with a Leer, Ember, Fury Attack combo, and cheered. "Way to go, Montag! This Beedrill is going down in no-", which was right about the point Montag got hit with a Fury Attack from his opponent. He watched as Montag skidded back, and then, out of nowhere, started glowing. "NO WAY!" shouted Beka. He watched as the Houndour's horns grew, legs lengthened, and muzzle sprouted out of his face. When the light cleared, a strong Houndoom was left standing there.
Is that Montag?, thought Beka. Ah, well. "Montag!" The Houndoom responded to him. So far, so good. "Use a Blizzard to stop him from hitting you, then use a Fire Spin! Keep him in there for a little while, then let him out, only to get hit in the face with a Strength attack!" He leaned back, waiting for Montag to make his move. "Let's hope my good luck keeps up," he whispered to himself.

(My Houndour evolved some time ago, before the Midnight Island campaign started. Just keeping everything in some sort of continuity.)

You won’t allow Mr. Manager endanger the lives of the Ninetails and Vulpix; despite how ironic it sounds to save the lives of things that are seemingly dead… Mr. Manager still dismisses the notion and won’t let you take down the circus tent without a fight. With Donphan ready to attack you tell Kaio to back off from the center pole and give Tori some orders. Donphan then stomps its foot on the ground repeatedly and the ground begins to shake tremendously. You stagger and fall on your behind, but you notice Kaio is bravely bracing himself and doesn’t seem to be affected so much and of course Tori isn’t affected at all thanks to her Levitate ability. You watch the center pole intently and you notice it beginning to falter a bit and tilt a bit sideways straining one side of the tent material and slacking the opposite side. Mr. Manager realizes what is happening and tries to yell to Donphan, but Cade then grabs Mr. Manager surprising the man and you. You then notice Machoke attempting to push down the pole as well. You see Donphan forming an Ice Shard on its trunk and lunging towards Tori, but Tori adeptly defends itself by using Rapid Spin nulling out the attack. Mr. Manager struggles against Cade’s hold and yells out, “Donny! Do whatever it takes to not let that pole fall!!” Donphan notices Machoke and soon tackles it away from the pole and then stands between Kaio, Tori, and Machoke from getting to the pole.

    What will you do?
Ricco watches as Cade attempts to stop Mr. Manager from harming him and his Pokemon, but his attention turns once again towards Donphan. Ricco signals Kaio to continue pounding on the pillar, resulting in a response nod from his trusty Swampert.

"Go opposite from where it's tilted." Ricco said. "Hit it as hard as possible."

Kaio nods and rushes over to where Ricco told him. He turns to his Claydol and gives him his orders.

"Tori, you're doing excellent. I want you to use Psybeam twice. Use Harden, just incase."

His Claydol nods as Ricco looks back at Cade. He was still confused, wondering if he was actually helping him. It was obvious he was, but why? Why him and not Mr. Manager? Ricco wanted to find out all the details, and had to go quickly.

"Hey, Cade!" Ricco shouted, getting his attention. "Why are you helping us all of a sudden?! Do you know something about this whole curse too?"

Ricco waits for him to respond, but looks up at the pole, hoping it'll go down soon. If not, he was in big trouble.

"I hope Mr. Manager can understand." Ricco thought.

Hiro had been on this boat for quite sometime after being out of the Silverton Rangers. It was freezing their, so he decided he wanted to go to some place that was warmer and had less snow. Hm, a sunny island perhaps?

"Alright Grove," Hiro said as he stroked the Treecko's smooth head, "You ready for another adventure?" The Treecko folded its arms and nodded silently as it always did. Inside the dense jungle, which takes up about a half of the island, there is a very small lake. There are two different forests on the island, and you can tell when you've gone from one forest to another. Besides being divided by the Diamond River, some strange force causes them to have completely different climates as well...
The Silver Forest - The forest which takes up a bit more than half of the island, Silver Island is named for the silver veins the leaves are adorned with. A deciduous forest, you'll mainly see flying and bug types here, due to the lack of ground vegetation. There is a rest stop somewhere in the forest, helping trainers on their way.
'C'mon Ari, get up! Are ya gon'a sleep all trip?'

Solo opened her eyes, it was just starting to get light outside. She grumbled and rolled over. 'Akhu.' She said in her head, even though she knew that there would be no reply. She sat up, noticing her Shinx was still sleeping at the foot of the cot. "C'mon, Pr-aA... the voice in my head says it's time to get up." She poked the Shinx with her toes, waking him.

"Eh?" The Shinx blinked open his eyes, then giving a yawn and a stretch, hopped off the cot and onto the floor of the boat.

She got up, going over to the window. "Looks like we're there anyway." She said, seeing the islands in the distance.

Later, Solo followed by her Shinx, Pr-aA, stepped out onto the island along with a few of the other passengers from the boat. She rubbed her eyes, taking a seat on the dock, still half asleep. As all of the other people wandered away, she watched the boat sail away as the sun finally made it's way into the sky. "Ferry ride they say, getting anywhere from Orre is never as short as a ferry ride." She pulled out the map of the islands. "Now that we're her on Aduro Island," she paused, "Wait... this isn't..."

Standing up, Solo looked out over the very flat island. The flat, leafy green, trees to high heaven island. She blinked down at her map. "Lily Island... I..." Turning she waved at the boat that was now quite far from the dock. "Hey! Hey wait! I got off one stop to soon!" She waved at the boat, getting happy waves in return because they couldn't hear her shouts. "But!" She sighed and turned back to Lily Island. "Well, I guess it was fate that I get dropped of on this island first. Ja, Pr-aA?"

"Shinx!" He replied happily. This place was full of fresh grass and green trees and clear water, things he had never seen much of back in Orre. "Eh, nix-inx!"

"I guess it is a lot different than where we were headed. C'mon then. If you want to take a look around, then let's get a move on before morning turns into noon." She looked back at her map. "The Silver Forest it closest." She placed the map back into her backpack, shouldered it, and they headed towards the forest.

Ordial Shrine; Arc_Angel – “Well, there is a better reason to why I trust you so much even if this is our first encounter. It took me a while, but you displayed many similarit-” Suddenly, Ranjona was cut off by a large crash that was not of the cascades outside. In the distance, voices could be heard, and the sound of footsteps was audible and growing louder. She stood, looking out through the falls. “We mustn’t stay here any longer. The soldiers may have tracked us, and we must lose them before we are found.”

“I’m afraid that my motives will have to wait for a less urgent time. Please come with me.” Ranjona gestured deeper into the small cavern. Seeing no other realistic or safe option, Stacey stood, and followed the woman into the cave, who had already began to retreat. Drusilla also came along, attracted to the dark and dank environment of which she was accustomed. As the group proceeded into the cave, the light retreated farther and farther. After a few minutes, they were plunged into near darkness, save a small amount of light that managed to squeeze its way into the tunnel. From the small amount of light reaching Stacey’s eyes, she could see Ranjona hold what looked to be a necklace with a small dark claw at the end. Slowly and carefully, Ranjona inserted the claw into a tiny hole in the wall.

For a few seconds, it seemed as nothing had happened. But once that time had elapsed, the cave was suddenly flooded with a wave of pale blue light. All around them, crystal structures penetrated the surface of the rough stone wall, glowing with a swirling blue radiance.

“Come. We don’t have much farther to go.” Ranjona said with a tone of urgency in her voice still.

Stacey continues to follow Ranjona deeper into the crystal-lined cave, taking twists and turns which were likely plotted out to throw off any pursuers. After a couple of minutes, the crystals on the walls become less numerous until they fade completely, throwing Stacey, Drusilla and Ranjona into pitch blackness once more.

“Wall! Wall! Great barrier! Bloodlust nears!” the insane bat cackles as she flies about, launching her echoing screeches in front of her. Sure enough, Stacey is able to make out a wall right in front of her.

“Come, we haven’t much time.” Ranjona warned.

In the darkness, Ranjona moved towards the wall and took the necklace in her hand again. She thrust it haphazardly into the wall, which lit up with the same blue light but seemed completely unchanged.

“The wall will only stay like this for a moment. Do not worry; you will be able to pass through it as if it were air. You may feel strange, but the feeling will pass.”

Stacey sees Ranjona pass through with ease, and Drusilla follow with the same lack of effort. Not seeing much other option, Stacey holds her breath and walk through…

Suddenly, Stacey feels as if she has fainted. The world suddenly plunged into darkness. No feeling, no sound, just thought. All of the sudden, a small purple flame lit in the distance, illuminating the darkness slightly. It danced happily and peacefully, swaying in the non-existent wind. Just as suddenly as it appeared, it turned a brilliant but malicious crimson red, and began to engulf and eat the darkness. As it did, it turned darker and darker, until it became a raging evil inferno. A distant roar echoed through the space…

Stacey opens her eyes. Now on the other side, she can see light at the end of the tunnel, and feels a little woozy, but otherwise fine. Ranjona looks at her, the claw around her neck once more, and asks if she is fine. Stacey responds that she feels fine, but explains what she just saw.

“It seems that Girtina has contacted you. It sounds like he is in great pain. We must act swiftly.”

Ranjona leads Stacey and Drusilla out of the cave and into a clearing in the jungle. However, the moment the three of them exit the cave, they witness the remains of a terrible tragedy that unfolded not too long ago.

“They haven’t!” Ranjona exclaims in shock.

Small fires dance through the destroyed landscape. Bodies of those who weren’t captured by the soldiers lay scattered upon the wreckage and shrapnel of the former wooden structures. Weapons lay broken on the ground, covered in fresh blood. Despite the carnage and terror, it seems that they aren’t the only living beings there; voices can be heard not to far away.

Stacey looks back to the cave. There’s no way to go back through there with soldiers sure to be filling the catacombs. Looking back, she sees that two soldiers with Pokémon at their sides have spotted them, and are closing in rapidly. A human-sized shark-like creature runs at the side of one, and a wolf with bright fangs and a coat as black as night gallops alongside the other.

“We must stand and fight!” Ranjona declares. Cupping her hands, she puts them to her face and produces a noise which is a mixture between a whistle and a gust of wind. In the sky, there is a sudden gust of darkened wind and a large purple upside-down-teardrop shaped creature bearing a puffy white cloud as a crown and a large yellow X on its face appears. Flapping 4 long appendages, it slowly lowers itself to the ground.

“Drif…” Drifblim sighs, letting out a quick puff which propels it up again.

With the fearsome Gabite and Mightyena running at you at a breakneck speed and Ranjona ready with her ghosty balloon, what will Stacey do?
OOC: Thanx for letting me continue this Jeri *hugs*

Ranjona had begun to explain her actions when a loud crash echoed from outside the cave. Both women turned their heads to the noise noting that it wasn't the constant crash of water against rock this time. Shortly more noise followed, small voices chattering with fever that seemed to grow in pitch as they approached, heavy footfalls following.

“We mustn’t stay here any longer. The soldiers may have tracked us, and we must lose them before we are found. I’m afraid that my motives will have to wait for a less urgent time. Please come with me.” Ranjona spoke with urgency lacing her voice gesturing to the far end of the cave. Although she still felt a little apprehesive around her she sensed that she was a safer bet than these soldiers currently bearing down upon them. Stacey following Ranjona's retreating form, Drusilla silently follwing her mistress keeping to the damp walls of the cave. The further into the depths of the cave they journeyed the darked their surroundings became until all light had slipped by leaving them bathed in the shadows. Seemingly reaching the end, although with the minimal light it was impossible to tell Ranjona placed a small claw that was hung around her neck into a hole in the wall.

All of a sudden a wave of blue light ripled through the cavern touching before unseen crystal that lined the walls filling them with its light. Dru hissed at the sudden introduction of light having enjoyed the darkness though with no eyes Stacey wondered how it affected her so. Ranjona beckoned them on once more and with the new light marking out a passageway they ventured further into the depths. Soon even the crystals could no longer keep their light as they fizzled out plunging the group into darkness once more.

“Wall! Wall! Great barrier! Bloodlust nears!” Drusilla sung flying back and forth in a trance-like dance, her sonic waves bouncing off a wall in front of the group. ranjona took her necklace in her hands once more and threw it towards the wall, the hard surface rippling with the familiar blue light before returning to the darkness.

“The wall will only stay like this for a moment. Do not worry; you will be able to pass through it as if it were air. You may feel strange, but the feeling will pass.” she said confidently before walking right on through the wall. Stacey frowned and tilted her head her thoughts consuming her mind. Dru gave a high pitched squeal of excitement before loop-de-looping her way through the wall. Seeing that both Zubat and Ranjona did not appear to meet any resistance and the ever closing soldiers behind her Stacey took slow steps towards the wall breathing in deep and closing her eyes as she passed on through.

Stacey felt all breath leave her and her body become immensly heavy all of a sudden and wondered if she had died on the way through. Opening her eyes al she met was darkness ... well she had hoped the afterlife would be a little more ... bright. No light, no sound, only her thoughts bouncing around in her head. Through the darkness Stacey squinted to make out a purple flame dancing almost happily growing larger. Suddenly it flared and turned a deep crimson growing more and more eating into the darkeness. A loud roar sounded filling Stacey's ears and head until it was all she could hearing reverberating in her mind; she clamps her eyes shut as the fire reaches out to touch her ...

Opening them once more she took a deep needy breath taking a stumbling step forward nearly falling to her knees before she caught herself. Looking around in confusion she noticed ranjna and Drusilla with concerned looks on their faces. Stacey realled what she had saw to Ranjona adding hastily that she felt fine, standing tall once again and frowning at the moment of weakness she showed. Explaining that she must have been contacted by Giratina Ranjona pressed o the matter of urgency and hurried out of the cave, something Stacey was more than eager to copy feeling a small sense of relief wash over her as she was plunged into fresh air once more.

A gasp of horror came from in front of her and Stacey heard Ranjona shout out "they haven't!" as she walked up to her side. Stacey's blue eyes widened as she took in their suroundings. The landscape was charred a horrid black, small remaining fires dancing happily as they continued to consume what was left. Corpses lay patterning the black and green grass along with rivers of crimson blood. The means of their demise stuck into the ground as bloodied weapons stood as markers of this carnage.

Voices came from the distance growing ever nearer, not everything was dead here. Stacey turned to face the voices pulling her black hood over her face, her eyes underneath set in an angry scowl, all to be seen of her face was the skull on her hood its empy eyes seemingly as angry as hers. Casting a quick glance to the cave Stacey noted that they couldn't possibly retreat back there, the soldiers were surely filling it to capicity; she could only hope there was a cave in they all suffered a slow suffocating death.

Two soldiers had made out their positions and with their equally fierce looking pokemon were bearing down upon them. A dragon pokemon Stacey vaguley recognised as a Garbite and the familar Mightyena tore towards them ready to do to them what they had done to the helpless villagers ... only they weren't helpless, far from it.

"We stand and fight" Ranjona exclaimed boldly and stacey couldn't agree more. She cupped her hands to her mouth and gave a short whistle. From the sky a large balloon-like pokemon hovered down ... a Driftblim. She had yet to see one of these amazing creastures and allowed herself a moments leave whilst she admired it, she only hoped to obtain one herself one day.

Brought sharply back to reality by the barking of the ever nearing dark pokemon. Lowering her head her fingers brushed over a Ghost Ball on her belt grasping it and pulling it from its magnetised lock. Enlarging it and allowing the purple mists of flicker over her fingertips she looked behind her and gave a short order to Dru.

"Watch that cave, let nothing come out of it. You spot anything untoward then let your Supersonic fill the caverns."

Dru hummed and clicked as she danced back towards the cave. Stacey turned to the face the soldiers, a smirk hidden by her hood creeping over lips as she released the pokemon within the Ghost Ball. A small flash illuminated the darkness before all was left in its place was a hovering purple creature, its disembodied hands curling and flexing drawing patterns in the air. It glanced back to its trainer its dark eyes hard and jagged teeth brought together in a sneer.

"Narcissa, time to bring some pain," Stacey said simply eliciting a small smile from her Haunter, having since her evolution, relaxed a little around her mistress.

"Driftblim is with us, take out those pathetic dark creatures advancing us. Lets take Mightyena shall we. Mean Look, show it that we do not fear it. Then let it burn with Will-o-Wisp and finally strike with Shadow Punch."

However, that means that not many things can live in this desolate area, with only a dead tree forest, a poisonous swamp, and a large skull tunnel interupting the landscape. The rest of the island is just plain dirt, but a good amount of poison types inhabit the area. The water surrounding the island is so poisonous that Pokemon cannot swim in it-therefore, unless it is a poison type, it cannot Surf to this area.

Bane Forest - Bane Forest, apparently, used to be a prosperous forest, much like Lily Island's Silver Forest. However, as the poisonous ground was formed, the forest died from the inside out, the trees becoming poisoned, and dying. Some toxins in the poison stopped the trees from decaying, leaving them gray and hard as rock. A few rare Pokemon live in the area, but there is also legend that something valuable is hidden inside one of the trees...

Ace rolled around in the pile of money and was surrounded by beautiful women. One of the women was feeding him cake while another massaged his shoulders. One of the women leaned in to kiss Ace and --

Suddenly, Ace was jerked awake with a mouthful of water. His eyes shot open to see Staryu standing over him and tiny drops of water dripping from the spout at the top of it's..head.

"Oh, come on, Staryu! I was just getting to the best part! She was feeding me cake!"

"Byahh" replied Staryu as it's gem-core began to radiate vibrantly. Obviously, it was laughing at Ace.

"Yeah, really hilarious. You know what else will be hilarious? When I make a big profit for selling off a huge red gem. That will be hilarious."

Staryu, dealing with the empty threat, squirts another water spout in Ace's face. Ace laughs and gets up and heads toward the edge of the deck with Staryu in tow. From the deck, he can see the large mysterious island covered with gray rock-like trees.

"Venom Island. That's where we're headed. Looks lovely, eh?" Ace asked to his companion.

Staryu's limbs dropped into a quasi-frown obviously showing Staryu's distaste for the island.

"Oh come on, don't get so bent out of shape. You and me and Sandshrew will have ourselves a good old fashioned adventure."

The boat docks and Ace and Staryu exit the ship. Arriving on the toxic sand, Ace grins with excitement while Staryu seems less than pleased.

"The Bane Forest is where we're off to. Let's not waste any more time! Come on, Staryu."

With that, Ace and Staryu set off for their adventure.

He agilely avoids contact with the Toxic Spikes and Ariados then fires a Night Shade from it’s eyes. Still running with Extreme Speed Najid isn’t even close to being touched by the ghostly attack. Ariados ceases it’s attack and Najid feeling safe stops running. He then builds up fire in his throat and soon fires a mighty Flamethrower at Ariados. Ariados having some foresight thanks to the distance descends from the ceiling by attaching a String Shot from its behind and repelling down. Najid’s Flamethrower misses, but manages to hit the ice from Surskit’s missed Ice Beam. This causes the ice to melt and evaporate quickly making a sort of mist instantly and Ariados is engulfed in it. Najid still spitting his Flamethrower adjusts his attack and moves his attack to where he last saw Ariados. A shriek is heard and Ariados is seen falling from the mist close to the ceiling and it seems it will fall flat on it’s back on a Toxic Spike. But, it skillfully uprights itself and lightly lands on the ground next to a spike. A better look at Ariados looks like it got a small taste of Flamethrower on its stomach area. Pleased with at least a hit you grin, but you soon notice Najid shuffling his feet and struggling a bit. Najid yelps a bit as you see some stringy material on Najid’s feet and on the ground where Najid’s foot was. “Heh, your Arcanine isn’t gonna be as fast as it usually is thanks to Surskit’s help.” You wonder what Surskit has anything to do with this and Warms reminds you, “The tips of Surskit’s head secretes an oil that flows down to its feet. The oil allowed Surskit to skate all over the arena and it covered practically all of the arena thanks to Geodude chasing it. With the time that’s elapsed the oil has been able to solidify just a bit on the ground and turned into a sticky string-like substance which pretty much hampers most pokemon’s movements. But, thanks to Ariados small feet and precise footwork it won’t have the same problem your Arcanine will…” Warms flashes you a grin as Ariados gives a battle stance.

    What will you do?
"Oh man, looks like I can't have a thoroughly positive round in this battle.." Lee sighed after Warms' explanation of the current status of the arena. Looks like that Surskit was even more trouble than Lee had originally thought - Najid couldn't rely on his trademark speed alone to win this battle. Still, he was far from giving up, after all his Arcanine still had the type advantage, and that had go be good for something.
Looking around the battlefield, Lee observed Najid's opponent, Warms' Ariados. It was currently sitting ready, waiting for Najid to attack, in a battle stance..this wasn't gonna be easy. He somehow had to find a way around its defense..but since quick movements weren't possible in this environment, Lee decided to go with long-range attacks for now and see how they work out.
He raises his voice and called out to his Arcanine. "Okay Najid, little change of strategy - try to keep your distance from Ariados for now and give it a taste of your long-range attacks! Start off with a nice and big Heat Wave to heat things up, and then set up a Light Screen to block any attacks it sends your way!"
Hoping that the next round would go by without any complications, Lee watched as the gym battle went on..

You and your Shinx get off on the wrong island, but deciding it must be fate, you continue anyways. Soon, judging by the silver veins in the leaves, you arrive in the Silver Forest. You sense something is wrong as soon as you enter here, and Pr-aA also looks worried. As you continue your trek, you soon realize that there is no chirping birds or bugs buzzing around or rustling in the bushes. At this revelation you become more uneasy. Pr-aA stops right in his tracks and barks at you to get your attention. You look at him, and it appears that he is trying to warn you of something. You look at him, but turn around when you hear a noise behind you. Suddenly your vision goes black.

A few hours later you come to. You are in a small dark room without any windows. There is a faint light coming from under the door. "Shinx!" you hear Pr-aA call out to you. As you make your way to the source of the noise, your eyes adjust to the darkness. You see that Pr-aA is in a cage dangling from the ceiling with a small padlock on the door. At first you try to figure out a way to get him out, but then you see that the key has been left on the table right in front of you. You open the cage and let your Shinx out. Then you realize that all of your Pokéballs are missing. You open the door a crack and peer out. There is a muscular male guard dressed all in black next to the door. What will you do?

(Even though your Pokémon were stolen in this zone, you may still use them in shops or other zones)

TurtleKing - Ion IslandReply in yellow
Your ferry arrives on Ion Island, and you step off onto the island. Having no specific destination, you and Grove wander around the port. It isn't long before you come to a large building. You look up at it with awe but take note that there is no smoke rising from the smokestacks.

"Hey there, sonny!" an old man calls out to you. "That there power plant is infested with wild Pokémon! It is way too dangerous to be going in there unprotected," he pauses and realizes you are accompanied by a Treecko, "Oh I see you do have a Pokémon! Oh my goodness! You must be the engineer! I'm sorry for not recognizing you! Here is a map of the power plant." He hands you a simple map. There is a single path that makes one left turn before dead-ending into a generator. "All you need to do is go to the generator and push the red blinking button. That will activate the repel and clear the building of the Pokémon. Now you can probably expect to face a few wild Pokémon, but with your Treecko's resistance to Electricity, you should be fine."

You explain to the man that you are not the engineer. He sighs. "I guess I was just being hopeful. You see the power plant has been down for almost a week, and nearly a fourth of the port uses this energy. If we don't get the power up soon, many people will switch their energy to a different provider," he explains depressedly, "We don't even really need an engineer, any trainer could simply battle their way to the generator and hit the button." You can almost see a lightbulb pop up over his head as he gets an idea, "Say! Would you be willing to do it?" What will you do?

You and your Staryu land on Venom Island and head off to the Bane Forest. You soon enter the once prosperous forest. Several rock like trees surround you. You trek through this dead forest, but stop suddenly when you hear a crash in the near distance. Following the sound of the noise you come to a small clearing. The clearing is approximately ten square feet large and has a small tree stump near the center. Seeing someone there, who appears to be up to no good, you slip behind one of the gray trees. The boy is accompanied by a Nidorino which is most likely his, and there is also a Gulpin near the two. You hear the boy ordering his Nidorino to attack the Gulpin. You peek out and see that the Gulpin is making no effort to dodge or retaliate the Nidorino's attacks, and it is looking pretty beat up. You stay hidden to find out what is going on, and soon the boy starts to yell out to the Gulpin, who has collapsed of exhaustion.

"Get up, you worthless pile of filth!" he yells at it. "If you still want shelter and food, then you better get back up and keep training! Come on already! Get up! Nidorino needs to level up!" Obviously this creep is abusing his poor little Gulpin by making it be a punchingbag for his Nidorino. What will you do?

Sorry for the huge delay, Stace.

    ~Ruin Island~

Ordial Shrine; Arc_Angel- “Do what you must, Wanta! Keep the sharkfish from harming us and our friends!” Ranjona ordered. The oversized balloon responded with a hissing sigh, and flew towards the Gabite with a quick puff. Narcissa too floats to face her charging foe, both Pokémon staring down a soilder’s partner. Narcissa is the first to act, glaring at the Mightyena menacingly. The Mean Look is successful, and the Mightyena is suddenly trapped and stops in its tracks from the shock. Wanta does something similar, but Gabite doesn’t seem to be stricken with fear, merely Disabled. As both foes are locked in place, ghastly flames start to appear between Narcissa’s hands, as well as between Wanta’s wings. Simultaneously, the two spirits fire Will-O-Whisps at their foes, charring the wolf’s silky fur and leaving a black mark on the landshark’s belly. Now with burns, both of the Pokémon are free of the hold of their ghosty foes, and each rushes at them, fangs shining with a shining blue energy and a malicious black energy respectively. Each of the monsters take a bite out off the Ghost-types. While Wanta in his semi-physical form feels the Ice Fang, Narcissa is unaffected by the bite itself; only the dark energy from the Crunch effects her. Unhappy about the super-effective damage, both Ghosts back up a little. Again, their foes try to gobble up their appendages once more, but this time their attempts are deterred by an Ominous Wind and a Shadow Punch from the two Pokémon.

Judging by Drusilla’s relative silence aside from her periodic cackles, the soldiers are probably still deep in the caverns, but they could still appear any minute. What will you do?

Stacey felt the usual thrill of excitement tingle beneath her skin as the battle began despite the severity of the situation. Ranjona's Driftblim named Wanta, flew forward given a free reign on its choice of attacks but knew it had to take out the Gabite. Part of Stacey knew that if she gave that kind of freedom to Narcissa to choose her moves and methods she would simply float there, confusion written on her face; she was not used to that kind of freedom, not yet. Anyhow, Stacey deep down, liked being an active participant in battle and deciding on strategies for attack allowed her that participation.

Narcissa having her orders floated forward meeting the Mightyena head on fixing it with a vicious Mean Look that made it think twice and halt in its tracks, rather nervous of the disembodied ghost before it now. Stacey cast a quick glance over to Wanta from under her black hood and saw her foe held tight with its Disable, unable to move no matter how much it struggled to. That brought a sly smirk to the young ghost trainers lips.

Now in sync both ghosts moved their limbs in time small purple flames dancing around their forms in an eerie but a beautiful display before firing them at their targets. The flames danced forward to the still dark pokemon and struck their skin leaving blackened marks, evidence of burns from the innocent looking attack. This seemed to jolt both dark pokemon back to reality, and ready to deal some vengence rushed towards Wanta and Narcissa, energy gathered in their open jaws. Stacey saw Wanta take a chomping as ice energy rushed across its thin form just as Mightyena leapt for Cissa its teeth attempting to grasp part of her side but passing through her, the dark energy however leaving its mark and brewing inside her as she winced and grimaced in pain from the super effective attack.

Both ghosts float back in what would seem fear at the strong attacks and Stacey glowered, they sholdn't show fear to their opponants. Rather than fear as the Ghost trainer had bitterly thought but rather to gather their next attack the Haunter and Driftblim launched their next attacks. A blast of purple energy left Wanta and struck Gabite as Narcissa punched her right fist forward as far as it would go before a grey shadow left it and struck Mightyena in a spiritual punch that left it reeling.

Removing her thoughts from the battle Stacey glanced over her shoulder having not heard a word from Dru, the Zubat flying back and forth in front of the cavern entrance, muttering to herself. The soldiers mustn't have found their way that far through the cave yet ... that was good. Stacey nodded to Dru who squealed at being noticed but kept her vigil, a silent not to still keep an eye, or in her case an ear out.

Turning back to Narcissa who waited obediently for orders, a little smile hiding underneath the surface. She was enjoying her first battle but would never admit that, she was far to serious for such an admission.

Though the soldiers had yet to make their position, it wouldn't be long before they were on their backs and things would get very hairy then. They needed to get this battle moving a little faster.

"Nice work Cissa, lets keep it up," Stacey said and Narcissa nodded her head, silent and ready to attack. "We can still cause some pain and have fun whilst doing so," Stacey said, her wild grin hidden beneath her hood, "but we need to finish off these plagues fast."

"Hit Mightyena with Confuse Ray and watch as its mind slowly melts away, it's entertaining for sure. Then give it wave of Sludge Bomb and then see how it feels when the pain is really on with your Hidden Power (Fighting)."

Ace could feel the rage pounding in his ears as he watched the trainer abuse the defenseless Gulpin.

"Somebody's gotta teach this punk a lesson," Ace muttered to himself in anger. "Who the hell does he think he is forcing that Pokemon to sit there and take a beating even if it is to the advantage of another."

Ace reached down to his belt and pondered on what he should do. Grasping one of the Pokeballs, he smiled to himself before pulling it from his belt.

"Hey, why don't you pick on somebody your own size!" Ace shouted emerging from behind the dead, grey tree, hoisting the Pokeball in the air and seizing the attention of Gulpin, Nidorino and the trainer. "Go Agrippa!"

Ace released his second-in-command after Staryu, his Sandshrew, onto the ground near him. "Seems to me like your looking to level up your Nidorino. Well, instead of beating up that helpless Gulpin, why don't you show Agrippa here what you got? Right, Agrippa?"

"Shree!" responded that sandmole Pokemon, posing for battle.

"That's what I thought. Alright Grip, let's start things off with a Sand-Attack! Then jump into Rapid Spin and finish it off with a Night Slash!

[OOC: Sorry for including stuff you really won't care about. I've wanted to create a bio, as well as a personality, for my character for a while and a forest is a perfect opportunity to do so. Also if I'm controlling too much, just tell me, I'll revise it if required.]

"... Reminds you of something, doesn't it, Ivysaur?" Adam asked his loyal Ivysaur as they approached the entrance to The Silver Forest. "That night. That dreadful night. That absolutely horrid night."

Adam and Ivysaur began to walk into the forest until Adam began to feel his legs becoming heavy. Falling to the ground, Ivysaur picks him up with his vines and takes him to a nearby rock. Within about five minutes, Adam arose and attempted to get up. Still feeling weak, he fell to the ground. Turning to Ivysaur, he began to hug his faithful partner. Tears flowed down his eyes as memories of the night flooded back to him rapidly. He was entirely unsure of what to do now until Ivysaur began licking his face. Cheered up, Adam made the decision to venture into the forest regardless of what may or may not happen.

"We really should.... face that fear... Ivysaur." he said hugging his Pokemon tight for comfort. "What do you say, old friend? Shall we venture into this forest and prove to ourselves nothing truly bad can come of it?"

Ivysaur began using his vines to comfort Adam, even though the forest greatly reminds both of them of the night(mare) they both met eachother. Feeling more courageous than ever before, Adam stepped up and began to pet Ivysaur one last time before they set off. Jumping in excitement, Ivysaur ran ahead of Adam as he began to walk towards the forest. Adam smiled calmly as the two partners walked into The Silver Forest.

Note: I just wanted to say that I loved your intro. It was very good, and now I'm wondering what happened back then, and I can't wait 'til I find out! ^^

You and your Ivysaur enter the Silver Forest. Filled with dreadful memories, you soon collapse. After you awaken, you and Ivysaur decide that no matter what happens, you are going to go inside. You walk through the forest. Several minutes pass before Ivysaur stops suddenly. He sniffs the air and then turns towards you. He motions to you to look into the treetops with a vine. Your gaze rests where Ivysaur was pointing: a thick column of smoke rising above the treetops. Without thinking, you quickly make your way to the origin of the smoke.

At the bottom of the smoke, you see a mansion ablaze. It is three stories high in a 100 square foot clearing. As you get closer, the smoke begins to fill your lungs, effectively choking you. Your vision becomes blurry. The clearing starts to spin. You begin to lose all five of your senses, but suddenly, however, a beautiful scent touches your nose, also freeing your lungs from the smoke. A small Illumise is helping you out with a Sweet Scent. You turn and look as the Firefly Pokémon points at one of the mansion's many windows. A little girl inside is at the window, apparently suffocating from the smoke. It becomes clear to you that this Illumise belongs to the girl and she wants you to rescue the girl.

    What will you do?

Note: It's a small thing really, but saying that you DID seize the attention of the three characters in the clearing is what we call self-updating(directly controlling an NPC). Like I said, it's no big deal in this case, and it is the natural reaction they would (and do) have in this scenario, but still self-updating is bad.

Filling with rage, you emerge from behind your tree, Pokéball in hand. You toss the ball into the air and challenge the trainer to fight your Pokémon. The boy looks taken back for a moment before regaining his composure. Meanwhile, Agrippa pops out of the Pokéball and prepares itself for battle.

"Ha! You think that wimpy thing can handle my Nido?" the boy roars with laughter, "That's funny, but since you seem so intent on losing to me, why not? Nido, get ready!" he shouts to the Nidorino, "Start with Leer, follow up with Peck and finish this round with a Counter!"

Nido starts to stare down Agrippa, but before the Leer can connect, Agrippa attacks by tossing sand into the Poison Pin Pokémon's eyes. The sand causes Nido to close his eyes in pain, making the leer fail. Taking advantage of this, Agrippa sticks his claws out in front of him and starts spining rapidly. He launches himself forward, striking the Nidorino. Nido falls backwards before getting to his feet and launching himself towards Agrippa trying to peck him, but his vision is blurred by the Sand Attack. He misses the Mouse Pokémon by a large margin. Agrippa then hits Nido with a Night Slash, dealing crictical damage. Nido uses this to his advantage however, and counters the attack, dealling double damage back to Nido. Agrippa manage to get some good hits this round, and Nido starting to look a bit tired, but both Pokémon are still in fairly good conditions.

The boy grunted. This round did not go too favorably for him. He yelled to Nido, "Come on! What the heck was that? We can't get whooped by that little rat! Get your head in the battle! Pick it up this next round! Use Focus Energy, followed by a Double Kick, and then strikle hard with a Poison Sting!"

    What will you do?

Wow, thought Beka, that actually worked. He watched a Montag landed perfectly with a Leer, Ember, Fury Attack combo, and cheered. "Way to go, Montag!

However, there was one place that really stood out. A set of huge rocks towered before the girl and her two pets. As she looked at the rocks, they seemed to bring back memories. A voice echoed in her head. "...Then take her to the ring, and let the stones decide her fate." But that was not all she heard. She heard somebody screaming, the jingling of chains, and two people grunting. "Get over there, lady!" At that point, she turned her focus back to the present. "Torchlight, Volante, I hate to do this, but I don't want anything to happen to you two. I'm going to have to keep you two in the Poké Balls for the trip." She put her pet Cyndaquil in his Poké Ball and her new Pidgey in her Level Ball, and then she advanced towards the ruins. As she entered the ring of stones, it all went black...
