The boy may be peeved, but so is Cyndaquil. He's heard the boy's instructions and has absolutely no intention whatsover of allowing the little green pup to fry his nerves endings ever again. He opens his mouth wide, releasing even more smoke to add to what's left of his last Smokescreen, the cloud becoming thicker and darker than before. He then moves out of the way in order to evade Electrike's Thunder Wave, but because the little jolts of electricity are small and numerous, ends up getting hit by a few of them anyway. He curls into a ball, dropping the ground and crying out in pain as his muscles seize up which gives away his approximate position within the thick cloud of smoke. Electrike charges forward, but its Tackle misses and he goes sailing past his victim. With remnants of the electricity still at work in his body, Torchlight slowly gets up, but is unable to follow his trainer's instructions to Leer his opponent down as he needs direct eye contact in order for the attack to work and the smoke is just too thick. He stands still, listening to Electrike's breathing, and lunges through the cloud to Tackle his foe. Both Pokémon tumble out of the smoke, rolling on the ground before coming to a stop a short distance away. They each get to their feet, staring the other down, both a little tired and beginning to work up a sweat.

The girl could hear coughing, and a lot of it. She decided that Cyndaquil had belched enough smoke and decided to wait until the enormous black cloud had dissipated before having Cyndaquil ready up another round of the stuff. She decided that she would keep up with the mind games and see where it got her. "Okay, Torchlight! Let's ditch the Smokescreen before someone suffocates, okay? Now let's try fiddling with this one's brains and see where we go. Leer, followed by Tackle!"

Kasai: Though you've been rather rudely told to move along, you have absolutely no intention of leaving Swinub here at this guy's mercy. Surprising yourself you stand up to him, refusing to budge, which results in a rather shocked, "What the hell are you doing?" look being shot at you by Harumi. The man sneers, obviously feeling you're well out of your league, and perfectly willing to show you exactly why you should have followed his instructions.

"Because Poochyena here will make minced meat out of you and your little chook if you don't," he replies, the animosity in his voice just as unnerving as his steely gaze. "Now move along, or you'll live to regret not listening when I gave you the chance."

Defiant, you stare him down, whispering your instructions to Harumi who doesn't appear at all pleased to have been referred to as a "little chook". Her eyes turn hard while she stares at him, before she lowers her gaze to examine Poochyena. With a warlike cry she charges forward and leaps into the air, kicking her little foot forward and Scratch Poochyena's nose. The little puppy Howls, but doesn't react, waiting upon its trainers orders who is staring at you with a malicious grin.

"You've asked for it now, Missy," he says arrogantly. "Poochyena, you know what to do. Now GO!"

Kasai saw Harumi's reaction and made a mental note to reward the torchic later. Harumi was obviously fighting hard. Kasai could not see why anyone would want to trap a swinub... what was he going to do with it, anyway? The little creature, stuck without anyone helping it... what use could he have for it?

Damn mind! Always wandering! Kasai scolded herself. "Growl, Harumi, and then scratch again!" Kasai was confident of her torchic's ability to fight well. "Show him we can retaliate!" Kasai commanded. Harumi darted toward the poochyena with a gleam in her eye and determination written across her face. "Don't give up anytime soon!"

Kasai checked that her second Pokéball was in place. I might need this...

According to legend, no trainer can enter this enchanted forest without an adventure befalling them.

Making her way into the Forest of Adventure, Abbi stares up at the sky through the treetops, looking at the rays of sunlight breaking through. Following close behind her, her Rattata, McCuddles, stops on occasions to sit upright and stare around, quickly running after Abbi a second or so after doing so to make sure not to get lost. "This place is beautiful..." The remark escapes Abbi's lips, McCuddles squeaking in response. Scuttling ahead a bit, the Rattata begins running about around his trainer's feet. Leaning down and picking up the mouse, Abbi pets the back of McCuddles' head, giving her attention to her Pokemon instead of on the path she's traveling.

A haunting graveyard where the spirits of Pokémon have been put to rest. At night a thick fog hangs in the air while the restless spirits of those Pokémon with unfinished business rise from the grave, looking for closure that often never comes.

A boy of thirteen, perhaps fourteen walked in the general direction of the Graveyard, dirt crunching under his boots. They boy, Potato, had always found ghost pokémon cool. It didn’t really matter if he caught one or not, (Though he wouldn’t exactly be disappointed if he did) he just wanted to see a couple, maybe battle one. Just have some experience with them. That was all.

Riding on his shoulder was a little brown squirrel. The Sentret, who was called Omega, was not a happy camper to be going to a place filled with ghosts that flew around. But Potato had talked up the Sentret, telling him that if the pair was going to have adventures, Omega was going to have to gain some bravery. That was Potato’s other reason.

Of course it was in a Sentret’s nature to be timid little creatures that fled at the first sign of trouble. That was what they did in a den of Furret, watch out for predators and make sure everyone else knew, too. But the instinct wasn’t the best feature in training. While Potato knew that it would be mostly dissolved by evolution, and that he couldn’t tear down an ancient instinct alone, he also knew that it couldn’t hurt to wear it down a little now.

Potato paused for a moment right before he entered the graveyard, then started to enter.

Empoleon Dynamite: Processing all of the information coming your way, you pretty accurately determine just how Teddiursa has managed to acquire the painful looking welts on its arms and why the Beedrill is now following it. Teddy's prior rage was obviously a result of the agony it's experiencing, and taking into consideration that it's now sitting in a puddle of its own tears as it bawls its sorry little eyes out, you resolve to help protect the tiny bear as best you can. Brawly certainly doesn't seem as eager to battle as he was only moments ago, especially considering he's now up against a fully evolved and rather nasty looking Poison Bee Pokémon, but even he's taken pity upon Teddiursa despite the fact it was trying its best to rip him to shreds less than a minute ago. Shooting you a look clearly conveying the message you're going to need to reward him well for this one, Brawly turns his gaze toward Beedrill who is now looking at him quite ferociously. Leering the bee down, Brawly races in with his arm outstretched while Beedrill is in a trance-like state and unable to attack. As he runs underneath it, Brawly swipes his arm upward and Scratches Beedrill's belly. With eye contact now lost, and Beedrill stinging from Brawly's attack, the Bee Pokémon shoots out a sticky substance at its attacker. The String Shot hits Brawly smack in the forehead, but luckily doesn't bind him up. Annoyed, and a tad grossed out, Brawly looks up at Beedrill and fires off a Water Gun, saturating the angry insect that results in Beedrill's wings feeling a little heavier than they should. It's still airborne, but seems to be having a little trouble staying that way. Meanwhile, Teddiursa has finally noticed Beedrill's presence and doesn't at all seem to mind that you're fighting its battle for it. It looks up at you with big, teary eyes, allowing you close enough to touch it, and while you're shielding it from harm it peeks around you to watch the battle between Brawly and Beedrill unfold.

Wes smiled confidently – Brawly managed to attack the Beedrill tenaciously – it looked like Brawly had the upper hand. Likewise, Brawly started dancing in the Beedrill's face. “Ok, Brawly, celebrations over, the match could still go either way”. Wes had to think of a way to do more damage to the Beedrill. Being airborne, it was very hard to strike the Beedrill with a full on attack. Then an idea hit him:
“Brawly, wait for the Beedrill to try and attack you, then I want you to quickly target a Water Gun at the ground; This should project you directly above it. Then I want you to land on the Bedrill, swiping repeatedly with your Scratch! Do you think you can do that?”
“Dile!!” Brawly replied contentedly.
This was a risky strategy but Wes wanted to see how far he could push his Totodile. Since Brawly was in good form, he knew he could take another hit, he just hoped it would work. If he could KO Bedrill, maybe he could gain Teddiursa's respect.

This well-populated village and its surrounding farmlands contain many low-levelled wild Pokémon suitable for beginning trainers to practice against. Levels are only gained by Pokémon under level 10.

Paul yawned as he entered the small township of Mediville. Though he looked at his surroundings with utmost indifference, deep in his heart he was very excited to start an adventure in an unknown town, maybe meet some people or fall asleep under a tree on some old man’s farm. Until then, however, Paul decided the best thing to do first would be to find some place to eat. There was nothing he loved more than a general store or country bar where all the locals would gather to drink their boredom away.
After a little while of wandering the area, Paul felt something smack his leg. He looked down and saw Rocky, his seedot, who was obviously peeved by the lack of attention she was getting. Paul stroked his stubbly goatee and yawned again, then kneeled down to face the mobile acorn that was scuttling behind him the whole time.
“Hey you,” he said to her, patting her rough, cap-like head. “I’d love to help you with whatever it is you want, but customer service is unavailable at the moment. You’ll have to go to the nearest retailer and send your complaints to the manager of this long-haired, half-baked company.”
Rocky lifted her stubby leg to smack Paul again, but he picked her up before she was able to.
“I get it, you’re lazy,” he said. With the seedot in his arms, he continued to aimlessly wander the village, his stomach rumbling under his pasty skin.

Empoleon Dynamite: Brawly's little victory dance doesn't sit too well with Beedrill who immediately unleashes a barrage of Poison Sting needles in his direction. Brawly's eyes bulge, his victory short-lived, as the needles pelt his tough hide. Teddiursa leans into your embrace, its little eyes fixed fearfully upon Brawly who is now the victim of the Pokémon who had hurt it so badly. Brawly isn't about to let Beedrill get away with it that easily though, and knowing that he won't be able to strike it with a decent attack from the forest floor, looks down at the ground. The next second he fires off the strongest Water Gun he can, the force of which sends him flying into the air and over top of a very surprised looking Beedrill. As he begins to descend, he heads straight toward the shocked bug and skillfully lands on its back before raising both of his arms into the air. You can see Brawly's claws extending, a thrilled smile spread across his face, before he begins furiously swiping Beedrill with a barrage of Scratches. Beedrill tries to shake him off, but Brawly just clings on tightly, enraging the Bee Pokémon to no end...

Qball: Entering the mystical forest wonderland of the legendary Forest of Adventure with McCuddles lapping up the attention you're giving him, you wander along for several minutes taking in the beauty of your surroundings. This forest has a special aura about it, a distinct feeling of something ancient which makes your journey that much more special as you wonder what mysteries and adventures it has to offer. After several minutes you stop when you hear the faint sound of what you think is crying, and curious to know what there is to be upset about in such beautiful surroundings, you follow the sound to find a little Wurmple huddling over the limp body of a dead Beautifly. The Beautifly is obviously this little ones mother, and you can't help but feel pity for the poor orphaned bug, but before you have a chance to think about it, let alone react in any way, a rustling in the bushes catches your attention and you turn to see a Koffing floating by a nearby tree, staring angrily at you. It appears this toxic blob is the one responsible for Beautifly's untimely demise, and it doesn't seem to want you around to stop it from finishing off Wurmple as well..

allsystemsaredown: With the smoke slowly dissipating in the light morning breeze and both Pokémon staring at one another with fire in their eyes, Torchlight uses his chance to immobilise Electrike and Leers the electric pup down. Electrike is unable to move, allowing Cyndaquil to rush in and Tackle his opponent. Electrike goes flying while its trainer begins stomping the ground and throwing quite an intense temper tantrum.

"NOOOOOOOO!" he screams, throwing himself onto his tummy and pounding the ground with his grubby little fists. "GET HIM SPARKY! THUNDER WAVE IT AND TACKLE IT!!"

Electrike looks over at its trainer, its expression giving you the distinct impression it's not very impressed with the boys display of emotions. It's obedient though, and follows its orders, sending another Thunder Wave Cyndaquil's way. Torchlight drops to the ground again, and just when you think he won't be able to get up after this third bout of electrical current, the attack fizzles out. Electrike, knowing its used up its immediate electrical supply, follows his next order and rushes at Torchlight to Tackle him. Cyndaquil comes to a skidding halt a few metres away before getting up and stretching his muscles. Now that Electrike is unable to paralise him, Torchlight knows the real battle is about to begin.

RaunchyFad: Walking along the main street of the quaint little farming village of Mediville with an air of indifference, you're more interested in finding something to eat than exploring the rural town. Its cobblestone streets lined with old-style shops don't appear to offer the same services as the more modern cities where restaurants and a multitude of cafés are found on every street. Rocky's random acts of violence, possibly spurred on by hunger, eventually prompt you to lift her up and carry her in your arms, but a few minutes later a loud male voice coming from one of the nearby shops grabs your attention.

"Hey! Stop right there!" he yells, before you turn around to see a streak of blue fur as a Shinx rips through a doorway and out into the street with a sausage in its mouth, a long string of them trailing along behind it. It seems you and Rocky aren't the only ones around here looking for a feed...

Furrett: There looks to be about half an hour of daylight left as the sun begins to set when you enter the sombre grounds of the graveyard situated on the outskirts of the town of Mediville. All is quiet, and though the weather has cooled a little there is no obvious reason for the chill you feel run up your spine as your gaze falls upon row after row of gravestones before you. Omega is far from enthusiastic about your choice of location to explore when there are so many more interesting areas out there, but follows along anyway, shaking his head, though whether this is due to disapproval or resignation, it's not quite clear. Beautiful shades of pink, yellow and orange color the sky as day slowly moves into night, but you're suddenly distracted when Omega releases a startled cry after a little Natu hops out from behind one of the gravestones and begins madly pecking away at him...

Proud of the courage Harumi is showing against quite a fericious opponent, you're not about to give up when she has such determination to defend the injured Swinub. You wonder what this trainer could be wanting with it, but your immediate concern is the battle. It seems Poochyena has found itself in similar situations, for the fact it already knows what to do without being instructed by its trainer shows that it's not only quite obedient, but quite an experienced battler. This doesn't deter Harumi though, for she stares Poochyena straight in the eye and Growls threateningly at it. Poochy isn't too deterred though as it's obviously come across larger and more threatening opponents in its time, and it stares at her harder before lunging forward and grounding her with a Tackle. Harumi is quick to react, kicking her little leg upward before Poochyena moves away, and Scratching its belly rather deeply. Poochyena howls again, this time in pain, before putting its full body weight into another Tackle. A gush of air is expelled from Harumi's lungs, but she gets up, staring at Poochyena and ready to go at it again.

Kasai watched as Harumi was attacked. Kasai wondered where she learned to be so good at retaliation. Kasai was concerned when the poocheyna tackled Harumi so hard, but needed to finish the battle. "Good work, Harumi!" Kasai called. "Scratch again!" Kasai felt her second Pokéball again absentmindedly, ready to use what she called her 'secret weapon' if needed. "You can do it, Harumi!" Maybe I will need this... Kasai thought as the other Pokéball shook slightly. "Are you ready for your first battle, Phoebe?" Kasai whispered. "You are my backup plan... and I might need you later." Kasai was nothing less than impressed by Harumi's approach to battling. Harumi had not had any previous experience, but was acting as if she had done it for a long time. Harumi charged toward the poochyena again, claws extended.

Wes fealt warmed by the Teddiursa's presence. I can’t just leave him in the forest – i’ll take him to the nearest Pokémon center – maybe stay with him for a while. He started clutching the empty Pokéball in his pocket. He then shook his head - this wasn’t the time, he was still in mid-battle.

The sheer adrenaline of battling that most trainers got started pumping through Wes’ veins. He felt thrilled to see Brawlys talent and ability to hold its own in a battle. However, Wes knew Brawly would be in a lot of trouble if the Beedrill managed to shake him off. He could already see Brawly holdin on for his life as the fuming Bedrill was trying harder and harder to get rid of him. Maybe Brawly stands a chance at controlling the Bee by pulling its antennas.

“Brawly, grab hold of its Antennas and pull them in the opposite direction to the ground! If my 12 years of school payed off, this should send Beedrill on a nose dive towards the forest floor” Wes smiled confidently, in suspense to see how the battle would unfold.

Paul smiled as he watched the shinx dart by with its blatantly stolen meal. He was then locked in a pensive state when he looked at the sausages. What kind were they? Kielbasa, maybe. Or salami. Or maybe even bologna, or knackwurst, or hot dogs…
Paul started drooling at the thought of the luncheon meat, but snapped back to Earth when he saw the little blue animal that was dragging it away.
“Aaaww…” he said. “That little bobcat found a snack bar and he’s ruining his meal with the road dirt so no one will steal it from him.” He smiled to himself; why hadn’t he ever thought of something so practical? In a flash, Paul had grown bored of the shinx’s crafty adorableness, and turned to the man in the doorway who had yelled at it just moments ago.
“Whoaa… hey man,” he said, holding up his hand in a peace sign. “Où est le casse-croûte?”
Paul’s broken French was the last straw for Rocky. She kicked her little legs and eventually squirmed enough to drop out of his arms and run after the shinx. She figured that once Paul stopped trying to engage conversation with the angry man in the doorway, he’d realize that the sausages might still be edible.

I had a bit more time (and access to a computer) than I thought I would. :]

I just realized that part of that in my first post may have seemed like I was trying to get you to make a ghost pokémon pop out. D: I’m really sorry about that, I was trying to roleplay Potato’s feeling’s and I didn’t think about the fact that it might seem like that. D: Sorry!

While he really shouldn’t be happy by the fact that his starter was being attacked, Potato was pleased with this development. It was finially a chance for Omega to get some battling practice in. Maybe he could even catch it!

That being said, Potato only had a vague idea what the green bird attacking his Sentret was, so he quickly pulled his shiny red pokedex out of his backpack, and flipped it open. The feminine voice informed him that it was a Natu, a Psychic/Flying Tiny Bird species, and was beginning to inform a few more facts about it, but Potato flipped it close and slipped it in his jean as he didn’t really have time to put it back at the moment.

“Omega,” The Sentret turned to look at him with fright in his eyes. “You’re going to want to Scratch the Natu! Then after that, tackle it!”

The Sentret’s eyes became determined as he began to execute his orders.

How do you get out of one zone and into another?

After the girl saw Electrike's spectacular failure, she knew that now was the time to pull out the stops. Cyndaquil looked a lot more confident now that his peripheral nervous system was safe and sound. All in all, good news for the girl. About time something like that happened. But for now, the main focus of hers was the fight. She had something to settle, because boy, was Torchlight miffed! She decided she'd try out all three attacks at once. "Excellent going, Torchlight! Now let's go all out! Smokescreen! Tackle! Leer!"

A vast desert, filled with all kinds of Pokémon. It is rumored that two special villages can be found here, but is this fantasy or reality?

After hearing about the two special villages that are rumored to be in the Desert of Illusion, Tim decided to go on a journey to this barand waste land. More Importantly, Tim wanted to look for some pokemon so he can strengthen his team. "Ugh, It sure is hot out here, I don't know how any one could survive here", Tim thought as he wobbled along the never ending sand. After a couple more minutes of walking Tim stopped and threw a pokeball into the air and out of that pokeball popped out the Big Jaw pokemon called Totodile. "Squirt!", Squirt faced Tim and gave him his full attention,"Can you spray a soft water gun into my face so I can cool down?" So Squirt sprayed a water gun into the sky which helped Tim and Squirt cool down a bit. Now feeling refreshed Tim ventures on into the Desert of Illusion.

I'm temporarily lifting the shop restrictions. This may or may not be permanent, I'm not sure yet. They were only instated originally because some new members were posting everywhere BUT in the Arcane Realm, ignoring updates for several weeks at a time while posting in the Casino, Arcade, Time Out, and other areas of the forum. Our main purpose is roleplaying so we're assuming that's why you've signed up. Oza barely smiled as he and Sougawa entered the lush wonderland. The numerous trees and scrubs that populated the forest looked like something out of a fairy tail rather than reality. They'd come here after hearing that this forest was one filled with adventures, and Oza couldn't help but be excited by that. How else did one start their very own journey but with an epic adventure? The pair had been sort of nervous at first, uncertain that they could do it, but now that they were here, actually staring an adventure in the face, they couldn't back out. There were places waiting to be visited and Pokemon waiting to be seen and captured.

Sougawa seemed to agree as he stared right at his trainer. "You think so too, huh? What a great place to start off at."
