betagold: The angry growl issuing from Montag's throat is enough to tell you he's far from impressed with your highly amused response to his rather dire situation, but he's far too busy trying to shake the cursed crustacean from his tail to bother with berating you right now. Though his pained yelps are loud enough to have caught the attention of several other beachgoers who are also giggling over the predicament Montag has found himself in, he somehow manages to hear your instructions and tries to obey them. Leering Krabby is an abysmal failure as Montag is so distressed that he cannot stay still long enough to sustain eye contact with the little crab, and while you're trying to think of what to do next he begins wagging his stubby little tail at high speed hoping Krabby will fling right off. Unfortunately this isn't a success either, his actions appearing to be more of a "bum wriggle" which causes two teenage girls watching the spectacle from nearby to collapse on the sand in an uncontrollable fit of the giggles. Poor Montag is beside himself now, at a complete loss as to what to do next when he hears you utter the words "sand" and "ember". Understanding the general gist of your meaning, his eyes glint brightly at the prospect of feasting upon roast Krabby for a delicious midmorning snack, and he digs at the sand, kicking up a large cloud before unleashing a shower of embers into its midst. Unfortunately all this does is create a gritty shower of fire and sand causing you to scramble backward before you're burned by it, but at the very least it has caused Krabby to release its hold. You hear a small squeal of fright before witnessing the crustacean drop to the ground and scuttle several metres away before turning around and looking back at Montag with a shocked expression on its little face...

Beka scrambled backward, running from the shower of burning grit. That could have peeled my flesh right off, he thought. What was I thinking?
He held his head in his hands. He was trying to hide the laughter, but he was failing miserably. Everything he had tried had failed miserably. But... the sand had scared the Krabby away, and maybe injured it a little bit?
Beka watched the Krabby run away from the hot sand, and had an idea. "Montag!" he yelled to his Houndour, "Time for a new approach. Use Leer to freeze the Krabby in place, then use Ember. Finally, use Ember on the sand underneath it. If the fire doesn't do enough damage, the hot sand will."

Kami stood staring into the entrance of the giant cave in front of her. She glanced down at her map to be sure she was at the right place. "I guess this is the place, Saruki. Huh, I expected the Desert of Illusion to be a, you know, desert... Oh well I guess it's just a misnomer." Kami said to the Aipom on her shoulder. "Are you ready to get going?"
"Aipom!" Saruki shouted in agreement. The Pokemon trainer and her companion walked into the labyrinth unaware of their blunder. After a few minutes of trying their best to follow the map, Kami finally realized that the map was upside down. "Oh I guess we're in the Ancient Tomb instead of the Desert of Illusion... You know that makes so much more sense." Kami said to her Pokemon. Saruki nodded in agreement. "Okay! Let's find our way back to the exit and go to the Desert of Illusion!" Kami shouted, but by the time Kami and Saruki realized their grave mistake they were lost inside the giant maze beyond all hope.

Michael walks through the eery graveyard, desperately trying to see through the fog. 'I can't see a thing! Why did I decide to come here in the first place?' Michael wonders, squinting as he looks back and forth, looking for some form of light. Not being able to see anything, Michael stubs his toe up against a headstone, causing him alot of pain, as well as even more desperation to get out of the graveyard. "I can't believe I got lost..." Michael talks to himself, thinking out loud as he sits on top of the headstone that he stubbed his toe against.

Marcus walked into the Forest of Adventure with a smile on his face and his bag on his back. He stopped for a second and looked at a twig sitting on the ground between two huge trees in front of him. "That twig reminds me of home for some odd reason. I guess because it is delicate but it is still a home for many microorganisms." Marcus said as he analyzed the twig. He then looked up at one of the two huge treees in front of him. "Wow this place is really beautiful. The trees looks very healthy. Hopefully my stay here at Fizzy Bubbles will be as beautiful as this forest." Marcus said as he walked toward the large tree, took a seat agaisnt it, and looked deeper into the forest foilage as he wiped the sweat from his forehead.

Shivering, Ward looks toward the grey sky, where he believes the apex of the great mountain range lies, hidden behind the clouds. Remembering the stories his grandfather told him about the hidden mines dotted across this land, he can't help but smile with excitement. He zips up his coat, hoping for a little extra warmth, and takes the first step. "Ready, Chloe?" he asks, looking toward his Poliwag's Pokeball, securely attached to his belt. He knows that Chloe, being a water type, will have a disadvantage against the ice types that presumably live in this area, but that only adds to his anticipation. Taking a deep breath, he slips his gloves on and begins the long ascent up the craggy path, hoping for adventure, Pokemon, and even a little danger.

Sorry for the delay guys. Someone else offered to take over updates in the Bulbagarden Arcane Realm and told me on Friday that updates would be up by Sunday night. It's now Wednesday, so I won't keep you waiting any longer.

Forest of Adventure - Please reply in limegreen

Mr.Penguin: Venturing through the Forest of Adventure you're amazed by the beauty of the place. The morning sun filtering through the canopy of leaves above sends streaks of sunlight dancing across the forest floor while the sounds of nature surround you as you travel deeper into the woods. A gentle breeze causes the leaves to rustle slightly in its wake, but it's a lone twig sitting on the forest floor which has caught your attention. For some strange reason the twig reminds you of home, but after your long journey to reach the forest you're feeling rather hot and tired and so decide to rest against a nearby tree for a little while. Closing your eyes, you relax while listening to the sounds of the forest, but a few minutes later you feel some tightness around your ankle. Flexing your foot to try and soothe your aching muscles, the feeling becomes even more constricting and upon opening your eyes are shocked to find an Ekans curled around your leg...


Graveyard - Please reply in silver

Sneasel12: With the sun having set only minutes ago, a heavy fog has already descended upon Mediville's graveyard. The temperature has dropped dramatically causing a shudder to run up your spine, but whether the shudder is from the sudden decrease in temperature or the eerie atmosphere in the cemetery, you're not quite sure. The combination of darkness and fog has also affected visibility in the area and before long you find yourself hopping about on one foot after stubbing your toe. Resting against the closest headstone to try soothing the sharp pain, it takes you a moment to notice the fog swirling around you. Upon finally noticing the disturbance, you look up to find two glowing red eyes staring soullessly at you through the fog before moving right up close so they're only inches from your face. Startled beyond belief, your body switches into defense mode, backing away from the ghostly apparition, and you fall right over the gravestone you're resting upon, coming to a rather ungraceful landing on the grass while Duskull appears out of the fog and drifts toward you...


Ancient Tomb - Please reply in gold

Rabid Squirrel: Finding yourself lost somewhere deep within the winding maze of the Ancient Tomb, you're rather anxious to escape this place which is feeling more and more like a prison with each passing second. Walking along a narrow sandstone hallway, you suddenly feel the floor give way beneath you and find yourself falling. Saruki squeals with fright, latching onto you as tightly as possible, when you feel the tunnel you're falling through begin to slant. A moment later you find yourself whooshing out of a hole in the wall and landing in a crumpled heap on the hard, cold floor of a small chamber. Looking around, the sight of dozens of human and Pokémon skeletons shocks you, and you can't help but wonder if you're going to end up just like them. Standing up and brushing yourself off you walk around the room searching for any signs of an exit, but the only thing you find is a large golden statue of an Arbok with an inscription written upon it:

To find the door you must pass a test
To show you're better than the rest,
Defeat my minion here and now
Or become this serpent's chow...

No sooner have you finished reading the inscription when a Seviper slithers out of the statue's mouth, hissing vehemently with its piercing red eyes glued to you...

betagold: Thankful to have finally rid himself of the annoying little crustacean, Montag Leers Krabby down. Helpless to move while caught in Montag's stare, Krabby is unable to escape the shower of Embers falling over it. The pain from the singeing flames soon has Krabby hopping about like a frightened bunny and it quickly shoots out a stream of Bubbles straight at the sand. Diving into the muddy mix, Krabby rolls around in it to try and soothe the burning sensation sustained from Montag's attack. Montag isn't about to let its mortal enemy get off that easily though, and directs another Ember toward the muddy mix Krabby is rolling around in which doesn't do a lot to help the plight of the little crab. Krabby is now looking quite miffed, and deciding it's time to fight back, unleashes a barrage of Bubbles upon Montag who yelps while they burst painfully against his chest...

Umbreon Ruler: Walking up the mountain path, you wrap your coat tightly around you to help shield against the cold. Several minutes later you notice the opening of an old mine shaft off to the left of the path which leads inside the mountain. Stopping to take a look you can see the dirt floor of the mineshaft is covered with a thin film of ice and realise immediately that if you enter then your journey will be rather hazardous due to how slippery the ground will be. While you're mulling over your options you notice some movement from the corner of your eye and look to see a little Snover sitting on the side of the path, watching you curiously...

Michael begins to freak out as the Duskull comes close. He kicks at the dirt in order to push himself backwards, the entire time fumbling through his bag. He grabs a Pokeball out of the bag and throws it into the air, releasing a Houndour directly next to Michael. "Joe! Get rid of that thing by blasting it in the face with an Ember!" Michael begins to shout, still a tiny bit shocked from the sudden encounter with the Duskull. 'First I get lost and then a Duskull comes out of nowhere! As if I wasn't having enough problems...' Michael thinks to himself, becoming slightly irritated. He tries to get back up, but the ground is too slippery. 'Great.'

Beka smiled. Everything had gone off without a hitch, for a change. Although, Montag was looking a little hurt from that spray of Bubbles. Beka reached into his backpack, and pulled out his pokedex. Why didn't I think of this before? He checked the little crab's dex data, reading interesting things out loud. "Krabby, the river crab pokemon....lives in holes....pincers crack off easy, and are used for balance? Ha!" He put the dex in his pocket, and directed his attention to the battle. "Montag! Use Leer to hold the little bugger in place, then aim an Ember at the right claw! Finally, aim an Ember right at it to try to knock it over!" Then he turned off and started to dig a hole in the sand, with a little trench to let sea water in. "If all goes well, this little crab will be boiling mad, with an emphasis on boiling!"

Kami looked around the room she had fallen into. She shrieked at the sight of a mass of Pokemon and human skeletons. "Okay, calm down Kami. If you don't regain your composure, you'll end up like them. You need to find an exit." Kami said to herself. She managed to calm down Saruki, who had started bawling at the sight of the skeletons. Searching around the room, she and Saruki quickly found a giant golden statue of an Arbok.
"'To find the door you must pass a test to show you're better than the rest, defeat my minion here and now or become this serpent's chow...'" Kami read the inscription aloud. "'Or become this serpent's chow?'" Kami repeated quietly to herself. "What could it mean?" she wondered aloud. Just then a Seviper slithered out of the mouth of the Arbok. Kami cringed as she looked into it's red eyes. "Saruki, this is the minion we need to defeat!" She called to her Aipom. "Use Sand Attack to blind it, then Scratch it's belly!"

Stepping back and tightening his scarf, Ward looks intently at the creature. At first glance, he thought it was a tree, but now he can clearly see that it is a Pokemon. Appearing to be a grass Pokemon, he notes how odd it is that it would live up here, then pulls out Chloe's Pokeball, just in case of an emergency. Feeling the cold surface of the orb, a thought occurs to him."I wonder if it's too cold to let Chloe out," he mutters, staring at the sphere. Deciding on his action, he throws the ball full-speed at the ground, releasing his Poliwag. Luckily, she appears not to have suffered from the temperature, although she is shivering. He knows that a water Pokemon wouldn't fare well in these icy surroundings, meaning that this battle would have to be a fast one. 'Gotta hurry!' "Chloe!" she looks toward him, trembling. Not wanting to injure the so-far harmless foe, he orders a non offensive move. "Use Hypnosis!"

"What is this thing wrapped around my leg?" Marcus said as he struggled to get to his bag to pull out his Pokedex. EKANS sneaks through grass without making a sound and strikes unsuspecting prey from behind. As the Pokedex finished telling Marcus what the pokemon was the Ekans squeezed Marcus' leg even tighter. "So this thing is an Ekans. Ugh! Its clutching my leg harder!" Marcus screamed as he shuffled to put his Pokedex back in his bag as he got out the pokeball that held his growlithe so he could try to fix the situation at hand. "Tojo please help me get Ekans off of me, I want you to Roar at Ekans to get him off my leg but if you can don't let Ekans run away, Bite it and we will try to do our best to defeat it!" Marcus said as he struggled to get his nerves back together in one piece.

Please keep in mind that in order to move your updates along at a faster pace you can order up to three moves per round of battle, whether they are offensive or defensive.

Mr.Penguin: With the purple reptile wrapping tighter and tighter around your ankle you decide to check your Pokédex to identify the Pokémon rather than take any immediate action to get it off. Your foot has now gone numb as the snakes constricting body stops the blood flow, and after reading the entry and finally identifying the culprit as Ekans you decide to take action. Releasing Growlithe, your trusty companion stares at Ekans before Roaring loudly in an attempt to intimidate the snake Pokémon and scare it off. Still wrapped tightly around your ankle, Ekans stares back at Tojo and hisses threateningly at him. With Ekans completely ignoring Tojo's warning to get lost, Tojo moves in on Ekans who continues to hiss while tightening its grip on your ankle. Being careful not to hurt you, Tojo makes a quick leap forward and Bites down on Ekans just below its head but the end of Ekans tail flicks up sharply, striking Tojo in the side of the face forcing him to release his hold...

Sneasel12: Instinctively scrambling backward so as to get as far away from Duskull as possible, you madly fumble about in your pack, searching for your Pokéball. Finally feeling its smooth surface, you rip it out of your bag and toss it forward, releasing your Houndour. Joe's eyes narrow upon seeing the spectral form, and is quick to obey your instructions, unleashing a shower of Embers into the air above Duskull who immediately responds by blasting a large, black thunderbolt from its eyes, its Night Shade sending Joe crashing into the gravestone behind him. Both Pokémon have already taken some damage, and this battle has only just begun...


Ancient Tomb - Please reply in gold

Rabid Squirrel: The sight of the skeletons in the chamber are enough to send your shrieks echoing throughout not only the room, but also along the maze of passages of the tomb itself, but after your initial fright you realise that panicking isn't going to get you anywhere and so you look around the room for a way out. Seeing nothing other than the Arbok statue, you read its inscription, the last line causing you to back up and read over it again. You're sure you know exactly what it means, but prefer not to think about it. You don't have to worry too much about that right now though, as the Seviper slithering from the statue's mouth has your full attention. Quickly realising Seviper is the minion you must defeat, you could swear you see the Arbok's head move slightly as you relay your attack instructions to Saruki. Reacting quickly, Saruki begins scratching at the sandstone floor, and while unable to kick up the Sand Attack he's hoping for, does manage to fling some loose sand and grit from the floor into Seviper's eyes. Seviper rears back, rising to its full height of almost nine feet while hissing angrily. With Seviper towering over both of you, Saruki is torn between running in the opposite direction or moving in to attack, finally choosing the latter seeing as there's nowhere to run. Leaping forward, she swipes Seviper across the belly leaving thin claw marks behind while Seviper strikes fast, lashing downward and coiling around in an attempt to squeeze the life out of Saruki, but the grit in its eyes is making them water heavily and it misses. Saruki is lucky this time, but this battle has only just begun...


Ocean of Mystery - Please reply in deepskyblue

betagold: Still smarting from the stinging sensation from Krabby's Bubble attack, Montag Leers the crustacean in place and uses Krabby's temporary inability to move to his full advantage. Shooting another Ember from his mouth, the shower of fiery sparks fall over top of Krabby who breaks free of Montag's gaze and scuttles forward. Leaping into the air, Krabby reaches out and clamps onto Montag's nose with Vicegrip eliciting a series of pained yelps from the tortured pup who begins racing around again while trying to shake Krabby off. Krabby is furious, and lets loose with a point-blank Bubble to Montag's face before Montag retaliates, doing the same to Krabby. The Embers shooting from his mouth hit Krabby point-blank in the belly causing the little crab to let go and drop to the ground. Both Pokémon are hurting now, and each is as ticked off as the other. Neither can take much more abuse at this point, so if you want to put Montag out of his misery you'll need to think fast because Krabby doesn't appear to be the sort to give up easily...


Silverton Ranges - Please reply in lightsteelblue

Umbreon Ruler: Snover watches intently while you release Chloe from her Pokéball, knowing full well what your intentions are. Prepared for the upcoming battle, Snover waits until Chloe looks directly at it before releasing a chilling spray of snow from its mouth which washes over Chloe and succeeds in creating just enough of a powdery snow cloud to break eye contact and foil Chloe's use of Hypnosis. Shivering violently from the cold, Chloe looks up at the sky as a loud thunderclap breaks the silence and frowns worriedly upon noticing that a storm is on its way...

"That would be so cool if it wasn't going to hurt me." Michael stares in awe at the Night Shade. He shakes his head to snap out of it. "Joe, use another Ember on it then Howl to try and unnerve it alittle. Dodge the Night Shade, even if it means giving up on a move. That thing looks dangerous." Michael continues to struggle to get up, finally sliding himself over to a gravestone. He grabs the top of the gravestone, but it is moist from the fog, causing his fingers to slip. "Why me!" He screams, losing most of what was left of his rational thought. He claws and rips at the gravestone, but to no avail. Michael finally gives up and collapses on the ground.

betagold: Still smarting from the stinging sensation from Krabby's Bubble attack, Montag Leers the crustacean in place and uses Krabby's temporary inability to move to his full advantage. Shooting another Ember from his mouth, the shower of fiery sparks fall over top of Krabby who breaks free of Montag's gaze and scuttles forward. Leaping into the air, Krabby reaches out and clamps onto Montag's nose with Vicegrip eliciting a series of pained yelps from the tortured pup who begins racing around again while trying to shake Krabby off. Krabby is furious, and lets loose with a point-blank Bubble to Montag's face before Montag retaliates, doing the same to Krabby. The Embers shooting from his mouth hit Krabby point-blank in the belly causing the little crab to let go and drop to the ground. Both Pokémon are hurting now, and each is as ticked off as the other. Neither can take much more abuse at this point, so if you want to put Montag out of his misery you'll need to think fast because Krabby doesn't appear to be the sort to give up easily...

Beka screams at the Krabby. It helped him get some of the anger out at the little bugger, and it also clears his head. And then he realizes that fancying things up aren't getting him anywhere. "Montag!" He yells to the Houndour. The dog pokemon turns to look at him, as he said "Use Howl to try to unnerve it a little bit, then use Ember! If he shoots any Bubble attacks at you, or latches onto you with his claws, use an Ember to try to neutralize the bubbles, or get him off!"
(OOC: Just out of curiosity, is this little one Male or Female? I have the nicknames picked out for both sexes, I'd just like to know what I should call it.)
