Thread: What's you favorite episodes of pokemon?

I've been waiting for a topic like this!

I don't really care that much for the new stuff (in Unova and Sinnoh), but the old stuff is great. I just haven't watched it as much, so I'm not going to say it is bad or anything. I haven't watched the new stuff enough to really say what I like and don't like. Anyways (I won't put a description on each episode, that'd take hours)...

This list is long, so I put it in spoilers

1. Showdown in Pewter City: I know it is one of the "pity" badges Ash gets, but I just love this episode. I like how it was "the ultimate challenge" Ash had faced up to this point.

2. Clefairy and the Moon Stone

3. The water flowers of Cerulean City

4. The Path to the Pokémon League- for the first filler in the show's history, I think they did a good job. For the rare occasion, TR's dimwitted-ness was actually funny. Also, despite it being a filler, I feel there is still some character development in Ash.

5. The School of Hard Knocks- love the idea of a Pokémon training school. I do think they should have shown a teacher, though, but everything else was great.

6. Charmander - The Stray Pokémon- I think this is the best "Pokémon capture" episode ever made.

7. Mystery at the Lighthouse

8. Electric Shock Showdown- Gotta love Ash's first non-pity gym victory.

9. Battle Aboard the St. Anne- Shows off almost all of the major features of Pokémon (trading, battling, TR, etc.) in one action-packed episode.

10. The Ghost of Maiden's Peak- This is probably my favorite Pokémon filler ever. I love the Japanese feel to it. Reminds me of Inuyasha. This episode also shows how dumb 4Kids' censorship is: They are usually very authoritarian with censorship, but they kept Brock's "bathing suits, and girls to wear them" line including a picture of women in bikini's.

11. Abra and the Psychic Showdown, The Tower of Terror, and Haunter vs. Kadabra- I put these three episodes together because this is a three-episode arc of Ash's battles with Sabrina. I love how they give Sabrina a backstory and character development that is more than just "she is a gym leader".

14. The Punchy Pokémon- Pokémon + Rocky. Gotta love it!

15. The Ninja Poké-showdown

16. The Flame Pokémon-athon

17. Ditto's Mysterious Mansion

18. The Battling Eevee Brothers

19. The Song of Jigglypuff

20. A Chansey Operation

21. The Ultimate Test

21. The Breeding Center Secret- by the way, this is the first time we ever see Butch and Cassidy

22. Beach Blank-out Blastoise

23. Clefairy Tales

24. Holiday Hi-Jynx- I love a Pokémon Christmas episode!

25. Showdown at the Poké-corral

26. The Evolution Solution

27. The Pi-Kahuna- I think this is another episode everyone should watch. I think that aside from TR's typical stuff, this episode has great writing.

28. Go West, Young Meowth- This is not called "Hollywood Heartbreak", Viz Media!! I like learning about the major characters' backstory, and Meowth's was really good. Interesting that Meowth is an American.

29. All Fired Up- aside from the cheesy moments (TR stealing the flame, the spirit inside the flame saving the day), I like the way they show the opening ceremonies. Just like the Olympics

30. Round One-Begin!

31. The Fourth Round Rumble- My favorite battle in all of Ash's Pokémon League tournaments

32. A Scare in the Air

33. Pokéball Peril- I'm still waiting on an in-show answer on what's up with the GS Ball!!! (as in, them say in the show what it really is and what's in it, not just some scrapped answer that the show's makers say in the real world.)

34. Pikachu Re-volts- The best Orange Islands episode IMO.

I like the episodes that make me feel moved, like Kanto's Pikachu's Goodbye, Hoenn's Poacher Problem, and the last episode in Sinnoh.

I felt a powerful competition in this episode! I never felt that in other episode.
May be it was because a incredibly Cute was involve in it and Ash was fawning over her. (Atfirst but still rare)

Every episode, seriously! it's pokemon :) "i'm only harsh on a few episodes because it didn't live up to it's potential.

Gotta Catch Ya Later. Definitely. It really gave us new insights on the character’s personalities and relationships (Besides what the shippers were already speculating). Also, I felt that this episode symbolized the move to Generation III. We had to say goodbye to our old Pokémon that we could no longer trade up from the older games. But, with sacrifice comes great improvement, because Gen. III was one of the best in the whole series.

-"Bulbasaur's Secret Garden", the Charmander episode, and "Here Comes the Squirtle Squad!"
-That biker episode. IDK, I thought it was cool as a kid.
-"Don't Touch that 'Dile!"
-The Wallace Cup episodes.

Those are the ones I remember most, I'm probably forgetting some.

There are several episodes I really like, but I think my all-time favorite has to be Scare in the Litwick Mansion. :D Mainly for Cilan's hilariously awesome screaming in it though. It was just so freaking LOL. XD

Clash of the Connoisseurs! is definitely second. I just love me some Cilan since he's become my favorite character and this episode is by far the best Cilan episode so far, imo.

Third, and my favorite episode before BW came out, is Ancient Family Matters! Roark is my favorite gym leader other than Cilan, and we really get to see more of his character here. Also, Byron is absolutely HILARIOUS in this episode. Just OMG LOL. XD

I also like the episodes with Lance, cause he's awesome in the anime, imo. And since I like Roark so much, I like Wild in the Streets! and his gym battles with Ash and Paul a lot as well.

I also thought that Enter the Dragonite back in the Orange Island season was pretty dang cool too.

EDIT: Oh, I forgot Leave it to Brocko! I really liked that one too.

Most of my favorite episodes are the ones where my favorite Pokemon appear (even if they won or lost) just so I can hear their voice, and decide which one portion I will use as my cell phone ringtone and text message tone.

One of my favorite would be "The Battle According to Lenora" Oshawott being forced to battle even if it didn't want too and Watchog using Mean Look so it can't escape. Loved it more because of Watchog.

Also another of my #1 favorites was "Emolga the Irresistible" - love Emolga, using attract (worked super effectively on me) and "Emolga and the New Volt Switch" loved Emolga's facial expression when it didn't want to battle used Volt Switch to escape

"Purrloin: Sweet or Sneaky" becuas of Purrloin!! My #2 favorite Unova Pokemon, can't wait to see Liepard make its appearance in the USA (I can't watch the Japanese episodes, can't find them online)

Roxie's Gym, love the rock attitude she had, in the episodes "Rocking The Virbank Gym" (both parts).

aside from that, I also love the episodes which feature Pokemon Contests in both Hoenn and Sinnoh. Especially Jessilina in the Sinnoh contests!! She made me laugh the most
