Do you think the Mystery Dungeon specials should become a normal series like the the main anime?

I don't really see that happening. There're fewer MD game releases than main games releases, so there's less content to work with than with the main series, for one. Not to mention the cost.

While I enjoy the Mystery Dungeon games, I'm not sure if there's enough material in them to create another long-running series, especially when there are much fewer Mystery Dungeon games compared to the games in the main series. I'd be okay if they covered the whole storyline in a couple of specials, rather than leaving it on a cliffhanger so kids would be more interested in picking up the game to play the rest of the story for themselves, than making another series based around those games. Plus, I don't know if the Mystery Dungeon games are that popular in Japan that could warrant the costs of making a new series based on these games.

I'd have loved a spin-off series starring Guildmaster Wigglytuff, as he's my favourite game character (and he didn't get a whole lot to do in the Mystery Dungeon specials...). It was never going to happen though. :p

Honestly, while I love the Mystery Dungeon game series (almost as much as the main series, in fact), the three animated specials that were made I was pretty underwhelmed by. The two DP specials were something of an improvement upon "Team Go-Getters" (which was insipid), but it still didn't leave me itching to see the rest of the story. With the new MD games recently announced for the 3DS, we'll possibly get another self-contained special or two in the future, but I wouldn't expect much more than that.

    No, no standard series.
I have claimed the Spell Tag and Kasib Berry, along with Adaptability and Shadow Ball. I have also claimed Gastly.

If you think Nintendo need to sue PETA up the ass for making Pokemon Black and Blue, copy and paste this into your sig.

    I wouldn't mind a 5-10 ep mini series.

I love the MD series, they are incredibly cute and it does a great job at capturing the essence of the pokemon world, and now we all know that what seems like talking to each other is just constant repeated words in the anime. :)

Cannot wait for the new one too :P

Well, it depends really, first they would most likely have to outsource it to a different animation studio to avoid the animators of the main anime to do extra work, though this would also make the style of the show more unique, next is the length of the anime, the average anime series is about 26 to 52 episodes, this would be enough to have a few basic story arcs and avoid making the series drag out for long periods of time like the main anime, of course, we would need some filler episodes here and there, but it would avoid having such clutter.

As far as voice actors go, it depends on who is cast, since many people watch primarily subs, they would support specific voice actors, though when it comes to an English dub, knowing PUSA, they would just use the main anime voice actors, which I bet everyone would get tired of hearing that they would just go and watch the subs, so I think they should hire a different cast of voice actors for the PMD anime, maybe even Tara Strong or Tabitha St. Germain if they are available to do one of the lead characters.

A 12-13 episode series per game might work best.

And who else wants to bet we'll get a special for the new game as well?

A mini series would be nice, with no more than 15 episodes.

It does seem to fit the formula-they could do a bunch of episodes that fit the main story, along with a bunch a COD episodes that represent the individual missions. The question is whether the underlying premise of the games is different enough from the main show to justify the expenditure. I'm not sure on that part.

I think it would make an interesting series and I'd love to watch it.
