So on the 6 O'Clock YATSURA show this evening, the DJs were talking about how the Pokemon Radio Show has been the number one most searched for item on InterFM's website! They expressed their surprise that a radio show that doesn't even start until next month has already gotten as popular as it is.

Based on reading that site, they mention how much foreign language content there is, as well as a music playlist largely in English (I suppose that's a bit more common) - are there any shows on there talking in English about how popular the Pokemon Radio bit would be?

Surely if the show is moderately successful and is on a station with mixed language broadcasts, couldn't that slightly increase the chances of it being done in English (I suppose you can't call a radio show a 'dub') - even if there's almost no chance of something happening directly in the US. Even as a web only thing surely there's enough of a fan base out there to do something related in English. Perhaps a lot of tweets could make Team Rocket see their recruiting power would be far greater in other languages?

So Meowth wants to turn the anime into the Kanto-Johto arcs of Pokémon Special?

I highly doubt we'll get an English version. The radio show will probably be more "niche" than the main show, and dubbing a radio show that will probably contain a lot of in-jokes related to the voice actors that appear would just be odd.

Not that I'm aware of.

Also, out of all the broadcasts I've listened to, none of them have been English-only. They'll have parts of the news be in English (it *is* a Tokyo-based radio station, after all), but the overwhelming majority of the shows I've heard have been in Japanese. I don't listen to it 24/7, though, so I'm sure I'm missing out on some of them.

Even as a web only thing surely there's enough of a fan base out there to do something related in English.

That's about the only feasible way I could see an English equivalent of this ever happening. No radio station in the US is going to run a Poe-KAY-man radio show, so having a podcast-type thing on the main site is about the only way I can see that happening.
