Re: POKEMON BEST WISHES SEASON 2: Episode N
I cannot tell you how happy I am about this, I mean, Team Plasma is finally going to appear after so long, better late than never I suppose. I'm just wondering how they could screw this up...
EDIT: 700th POST!!!

That's the best and most reasonable way they could go into the arc in my opinion, I personally think that in the final match of the league, Ash fights N, but the match is interrupted as Team Plasma begins their invasion.

N isn't one of the league participants.

Maybe he's participating in disguise, ever think of that?

He has no reason to disguise himself if he is anything like the game character.

We'll have to see about that, the tournament has only begun, so we will have to see what happens in the league first, that's more important at the moment. Who said he had to act exactly like the N in the games, remember the Anime is in a different continuity line than the games, so anything is possible really.
Re: POKEMON BEST WISHES SEASON 2: Episode N
I just don't see the point of Team Plasma interrupting the league, as there has obviously been no build-up to a confrontation between N and Ash. For whatever reason, the writers wanted to keep Team Plasma out of the badge quest saga, so they may as well keep them out of the league as seems to be the case.

They could have also not have shown him as a league participant when the league started obviously to avoid spoiling his arrival, and will have him appear as a participant as the league progresses. Besides, there may not have been any buildup, but maybe it will be revealed in an unexpected plot twist.

You see "Episode of __" to refer to entire story arcs in promos for other Japanese cartoons all the time.
I figured that, but it doesn't explain why the website is referring to this episode as the start of a new chapter, as opposed to being the chapter itself.
It doesn't. It just says that we're heading into a new chapter, most likely to let us know that this isn't just a one-off special. They're not implying that this "Episode N" is the start of said chapter.
It's pretty obvious that this "Episode N" is the new chapter.
Re: POKEMON BEST WISHES SEASON 2: Episode N
I knew it. "Team Rocket vs. Team Plasma" won't be airing at all. Instead, they're going to air "Episode N".
Re: POKEMON BEST WISHES SEASON 2: Episode N
This sounds a lot better than the Rocket vs Plasma episode. At least now we can have proper Plasma instead of anime!Plasma, which didn't seem to resemble the original version at all.
I wonder how this will all play out. How his voice actor will be, if any other game elements will pop up.. Oh, the humanity! I eagerly await this episode.

They already screwed up their chance then, besides, Team Rocket is pretty much done in Best Wishes, it's time they moved on from that.

We'll have to wait and see, personally, I hope N's voice is the same as it was in the BW2 trailer, but I can only dream.
Re: POKEMON BEST WISHES SEASON 2: Episode N
So the writers finally decided to bring in N after all of this time? I don't know what to say, except that I am both happy and disappointed at the same time. I am happy that the writers are going to bring in N, but I am disappointed in how they are going to ruin his character.
The writers failed to deliver even before Best Wishes Season 2 aired: Ash barely winning his eighth badge even with a technical advantage was ridiculous and absolutely had no bearing on his skill as a trainer (and this was after Ash nearly won half of his Unova gym battles with pokemon that evolved during the final matches); the WTJC arc was very terrible since most of the first-round battles were all montage fights and Iris made it to the semifinals with a Dragonite that she did not even train herself; the Meloetta storyline had a horrible resolution since TRio barely did anything other than protect Giovanni, and was underwhelming since Giovanni only brought in two generic TR grunts; and now the Pokemon League will end badly as well since Ash (and Pikachu) are somehow able to fight back against stronger and faster opponents just on "guts" alone.
Episode N will end up being like all of the other storylines in this series; horribly paced and lacking in any real character development. Episode N will also probably have many fillers too like the Battle Frontier saga did, so that is a minus too.
Re: POKEMON BEST WISHES SEASON 2: Episode N
Between this and Handsome being confirmed to reappear, there's no doubt this will involve Team Plasma i wonder what the writers are planning to do, movie 14 and 15 pretty much covered all the Tao Dragon stuff.
Re: POKEMON BEST WISHES SEASON 2: Episode N
I am not happy about this. I've said many times why this idea doesn't work in the anime, and I'll stand by it. Nonetheless, it does have promise. Just don't expect this to mean anything for Ash at all, unless it's for his skill to return.

Agreed. At least the Lake trio were featured exclusively in the Team Galactic finale, while Giratina and Arceus only appeared in the DP movies. The overlap with Dialga and Palkia wasn't that noticeable.
