-It's very likely that Burgundy will get a
Purrloin with Encore given how her predecessors used their rivals' fears against them, not to mention writers seem to want to give her early route Pokémon because;
a)To further cement her lack of skill.
b)All of the Unova early route Pokémon except
Patrat-line and
Pidove-line has actually amazing stats and great movepools that allow them to be usable in either UU or even OU, in other words Burgundy has crap Pokémon that has high potential just like herself. And of course, to stay in spirit of Harley's
Wigglytuff, Ursula's
Plusle and
Minun and even May's
Skitty, as Purrloin we had in past didn't do much beyond Misha's one even though the thing is so popular.
If this does happen though, I hope Burgundy's case will be handled differently. Say, have Burgundy actually get a Purrloin after she hears about Cilan's cat racism, but either fail at using it in a comical fashion OR more preferably make Burgundy realise the error of her ways halfway and start helping Cilan to overcome his fears OR more more preferably use Purrloin to show how Cilan is hypocritical about judging other people when he himself has silly prejudices due to things happened in the past, giving an actual comparison between the two in Cilan/Burgundy rivalry, making to more equal. I do hope that if she does get a Purrloin, she will evolve the damn thing unlike the many
Glameow we had in past, or May's Skitty.
Aside from that I can see her getting a
Scolipede in the spirit of Harley's
Ariados, Ursula's
Wormadam, Jessie's
Dustox and
Yanmega; with the main difference being that Scolipede would be actually useful, what with goddamn Swords Dance/Rock Slide/Bulldoze etc. and it's goddamn x4 Grass resistance.
I am pretty sure they will evolve her
Dewott because;
a)It is introduced quite early, and likely at worst a year or a few years old given the flashback(depending on how much Burgundy stayed at the connoisseur school/course/rave party.
b)They are obviously going to keep Ash's
Oshawott at it's first stage for a while given the many merchandise.
c)They will need to throw a bone to poor girl if they are going to keep her as a comedy relief rival, much like Kenny and his
Empoleon.
-For Georgia, at first I thought they would give her every Steel and Ice-type that are not occupied already since;
a)Georgia is an Ice/Steel specialist(duh).
b)It is really the only way they can get any screentime, or at least proper
fighting screentime, much like Harley and his sexual innuendo+horror factor Pokémon; Ursula's evil Dawn team which consisted of many marketing failures,
Gabite, Wormadam-G(lamourous) and two cool bitches; Conway's nerd gimmick team; or Burgundy's early route dudes.
BUT, I realised Georgia's team actually mirrors
Iris' team, much like Paul's first three Pokémon that we saw mirrored Ash's first three Sinnoh Pokémon and Ursula's team mirrored Dawn's:
Beartic >
Excadrill. They both have similiar stats, movepools and abilities.
Pawniard>
Axew. Same as above. Their final evolutions are also pretty similiar, though that probably doesn't mean anything for Axew even though Pawniard has evolved.
This makes me wonder whether Georgia will get her own Electric-type(
Eelektrik maybe? Even though I originally disagreed with that speculation as even though it can learn Dragon Claw in it's final stage to beat dragons, it is pretty much in it's final stage, well, a dragon.) or a cute marketable Pokémon like every girl in the series ever(
Mawile? Even though they share similiar apetite, it's a Steel-type, it's tsundere and it was horribly treated in AG despite it's popularity, and most rivals tend to get Pokémon that needs screentime, even though it's a troll and even though it has the same hair as
Emolga and Iris, it is a deciever, whereas Georgia is pretty honest.)
Cryogonal would make a lot of sense though, not so because Georgia can use Iris' fear against her like her predecessors(because she already has an Ice-type, even though Iris didn't show much animosity towards Beartic as it did with
Vanipeti), but because it's a Pokémon that's harsh on outside but warm on inside, fitting for a tsundere.
And she will probably get a
Durant, because you know
Ariados, Wormadam, Dustox, Yanmega etc. Though I would much prefer Stephan to get one, now that Locormus put that idea into my mind.
