Perhaps Dawn will make a short appearance (being the fashion queen that she is) and the bug will be traded for something/anything useful.
I'm not opposed to Ash catching more pokemon, but I'd like to see him catch useful or at least interesting pokes.
Thatd be good for Dawn cuz i makes clothes and she cud givve him something from Hoenn. Ive always wanted Ash to get a Sabeleye!

Anyway, IF Ash does get SK(Sunglasses Krokorok), I hope it doesn't evolve.
I wonder if Tepig was near the back in that poster for Movie 15's Pokemon anniversary thing, because it'll evolve, or maybe the ending lasts after Movie 15 and Tepig evolves after movie 15 and it's at the back for a coincidence. OR it has evolved by then, and it's there to advertise its presence in the first BW movies.
Also, after seeing this image.
I hope it doesn't suggest that Snivy will also evolve and that's is why the other starters aren't there. If not maybe they just wanted one Unova starter there.
If Snivy were to evolve, I'd like it to go through to it's final stage as quickly as possible. The reason for that is, compared to Oshawott and Tepig, who become 'mons that differentiate themselves from their pre-evolved forms (dual scalchops in Dewott's case, and being a bipedal sumo wrestler in Pignite's) quite well, Servine is...pretty much just a bigger Snivy. Additionally, I think it'd be cooler to have a Serperior with Snivy's personality than it would be a Servine.
Swadloon start of the show in bug gym and 1-2 episodes in Forrest. Could have been used to develop the character any of the other pokemon a bit better.
And the bird is just wasting space. The only thing useful I've seen is it being used to search for something. Then the bogus evolution/ fake rivalry because Trip's birdy had already evolved. The last travesty we have waiting for us is more wasted space in whatever episode it gets the last evolution.
Seriously.. Ash has to catch the regional bird first, they rarely have interesting characters and they force 2 worthless evolutions (3 forms) down our throat..
Whatever 6th generation they are planning it's an almost guaranteed success if for once they don't force a regional bird upon the loyal fans.
P.s. i think the only remaining known Real Life bird to base a regional bird on is the chicken. Do we really want to see a pokemon based on a chicken?
P.s. 2 Forgot about Torchic but at least that had a fire typing

Hrrgh. I realized the BW series has a new unwritten law alongside the backwards type logic and the ratio of the rivals' appeal (or lack thereof) to their actual competence (i.e. boring, bland, hard-to-like rivals are the main threats with the strongest teams, the endearing and entertaining rivals are total jokes that pose no threat at all).
And that law is, the Pokemon who have the blandest personalities, least amount of screentime, and least amount of on-screen training with Ash will be the ones to evolve first. Because obviously that just makes so much sense.
Seriously, what have Swadloon and Tranquil really done since they evolved? Is it really going to do them any good to evolve again this soon? Because I doubt it. If they're evolving Tepig just to make it "more interesting", then they're already setting that thing up for failure and indirectly confirming that they have no other ideas to make Tepig an enjoyable character. The funny thing about it is that, imo, Tepig is the cutest of the Gen V starters... while Oshawott, the screentime-stealing starter that brims with personality (to the point of overload), is the ugliest of the trio. We know they like to delay the starters' evolutions to get the most out of their marketability of their cute base stages, so part of me is morbidly amused that they'd push their cutest starter (again, imo) into evolving first.
But seriously, we usually see Oshawott and Snivy doing the hardcore training on the uncommon occasion that BW focuses on training, and Snivy was already strong before Ash caught her, deeming herself too worthy of her previous trainer. So logically she should be evolving first, right? But oh wait, this is BW, where logic can go fuck itself and die.
So yeah, these upcoming evolutions seem more like cries for help. Because they insisted on having Ash catch way more Pokemon than he needed, with no reasonable way to make good time for all of them, it looks like evolving will be the closest thing to "development" our current evolving candidates will get.
Honestly, if Ash got rid of his boring bug, his boring bird, and his boring boulder, I'd be much happier about him capturing that Krokorok. Though I still question what the point was in waiting so long for this capture to happen when it's been stalking Ash since the third goddamn episode before it suddenly dropped off the face of the earth for almost a year. There was no real build-up, so on the whole it feels entirely unnecessary. At least there's hope that this thing will have a better moveset and generally not suck as much as the majority of Ash's team.
But yeah, this is annoying because I really wanted Snivy to evolve so she'd get cooler and hopefully end up with a better moveset. And Oshawott... I just don't want it to be Piplup. Ash has no fully-evolved Water-type starter and this is a good time as any for him to finally have one, so I REALLY hope the little freak evolves eventually. Dewott is much cuter, anyway.
Sigh. Team Suck evolving first just isn't fair... and totally nonsensical. Fits right in with this series, that's for sure... I bet by the time Ash gets all these evolutions out of the way, Trip will have everything on his team fully-evolved because newbies can totally grind that fast. Nggaahhh.
Since we've seen all Ash his grass pokemon, except bulbasaur, go fully evolved I'd say there's an excellent chance that snivey will evolve all the way as well.
I certainly hope Oshawatt doesn't go piplup and stay unevolved. Personally i like the middle evolution, looks the most like an able swordsman.
As for the rock.. i kind of like it.
If it is the writers intention to give Ash two full teams then we'll see more captures, but the only captures i'd like are the ant and anteater.
i think if they didnt have him catch sewaddle and palpitoad ended up like muk and not used except in the league it might have made things a lot more cohesive imo. but what we got is an incredible influx of pokemon into the main cast because we have two new rather unappealing main cast members in iris and cilan who become lost in the story.
a lot of what made tracy, may and dawn palatable were the fact they were the only new people in their series to catch pokemon. they caught pokemon and improved the story. but now Ash seems like hes on an island of his own. thats why i think he is catching everything, its the creators overcompensating for the lack of great secondary support. not even jesse and james are helping out, they have only caught one pokemon apiece and are not always prevelent in the week to week episodes.
if team rocket catch 1 more pokemon a piece and start fighting the twerps every episode like we are used to i think Ash's pokemon can grow into their roles.
i truely like the diversity of his team but from the begining of this part of the series we have known it was supposedly going to be shorter then normal, thus making catching a must see and rigorous training an off screen deal.
i still wouldnt mind a last second catch after the krok depending on what happens later on, like maybe transfering something to another trainer or a master of some sort or heaven forbid releasing something.
leavanny for ferroseed or escavalier.
what if after ash gets leavanny he trades it to bianca or juniper for their big bugs
Tepig for example, has a very recycled back story. I mean, its just sad that they couldn't think of anything else for it aside from being the latest abused fire type. The fact that all the best storyline in that department went to the others that Ash had meant that the writers wrote themselves stupid with nothing new to do with Tepig's development. Its to the point that I actually don't care at all that Tepig was abused, because hes that bland. Does... does that make me a bad person?
The others are just... well we know the reason why they likely wanted Unfezant (Skyla) but Unfezant sure as hell isn't Swellow (Wionna) and the series could have been better off without. The bug I dunno what they are doing with anymore. He is completely uneffective against all 3 of the next Gym Leaders, but maybe thats what they want. -_- The boring bolder will likely evolve again going off of the pattern of the series, just don't know when, how, and what for.
Maybe it will all be worth it when team awesome evolves though. Scrafty, Serperior, possibly Samurott, Seismitoad if it happens, and what they may be planning to do with Waruville.
Though going off that list really hammers home the true problem: Ash has way too many Pokemon. Ash isn't Gary, who can just train as many Pokemon effectively as he likes because he unlike Ash (at least not till later on) didn't get too attached to them. Ash on the other hand must get attached to his Pokemon individually in order to bring out their personality and potential. He can really only do this effectively with as few Pokemon as possible at a time, like in Hoenn or Sinnoh.
Perhaps we all deserve this shoddy development in BW, since the majority of us in the beginning complained about how Ash wasn't "catching em all" like he was supposed to do, at least in our minds at the time. If only people knew then what they know now.
