I could stand losing to AG or DP-era Ash, but no more than that. I'd especially hate losing to his BW self.

Barry... I wouldn't like losing to either since he's pretty damn shallow, though it wouldn't be the end of the world for me like it would for most other options I picked. If I lost to Barry, I'd chalk it up to dumb luck on his end since I can see Barry being the kind of guy who would have dumb luck every now and then to win a battle.

Trip, though, no. Just... no. He's roughly as shallow as Barry without being interesting or endearing to make up for it, and for all the times the show TRIED to hype Trip up, it was only when he did things that ANY newbie trainer would do - namely relying almost solely on his starter and making said starter severely unbalanced. I would quite enjoy pitting his Serperior against my Ferrothorn and watch Trip cry as his Serperior's moves do jack shit against my tank and its speediness only serving to quicken its own demise when my Ferrothorn Gyro Balls that motherfucker. So yeah, losing to Trip would be unacceptable. I mean hell, who'd want to lose against a dork who got LAST PLACE in the Unova League? :P

I really wouldn't like losing to Iris either, since the vast majority of Iris' victories were cheap bullshit owed largely to Lady Luck favoring her. Iris herself, for all the hype she's gotten bestowed upon as a trainer, has really not been shown to be all that special when she actually battles since most of her victories are won by purely overpowering the opponent with little to no thought or strategy implemented to seal the deal. I feel bad enough for the victims of Iris' lucky streak; I'd feel much worse if I somehow got screwed over in a battle because her Axew learned Draco Meteor or something out of nowhere to instantly win, or because her Dragonite is virtually untouchable even to types of moves it should be critically vulnerable against.

And Team Rocket... for obvious reasons. If I lost to Team Rocket I think that would be a sign from the universe telling me to give up being a trainer immediately before I humiliate myself even worse.

Wouldn't like losing to Misty either; none of her Pokemon particularly impressed me and logically she should be impossible to NOT beat if I had the perfect anti-water team set up. Unless this was set in Best Wishes, in which case I'd have to pack a team of Rock, Ground, and Fire-types to stand a chance against her.

For others, I'd obviously hate to lose to Cameron, especially if I lost the same way Ash did. Because then I would definitely have to jump off a cliff, for I would be incapable of living down such a stupid loss. I wouldn't like losing to Kenny either, because he sucks and my Breloom would kick his Breloom's ass. Hm, can't think of anyone else at the moment that I would be pissed at losing to.

Off the top of my head:

Ash- Absolutely not to him. At least the way he is now.

Barry- He's an idiot. He's not even likeable. "I'm gonna fine you!" UGH...I'd hate losing to him.

TRio- Do I even need to explain why? Is this even a question?

Iris- Uptight, full-of-herself, cocky little *****. Thinks she knows everything and is superior to everyone.

I completely forgot about Trip. Given how much of an annoying and overpowered jerk he is, I would really not want to lose to him, especially with his placement in the Unova League.

To be fair, that's more of the writers' fault for his horrible league placement. XD.

I would fine with losing to Barry since even though his battle style is simplistic his pokemon are well trained and attacking a lot does work if your opponent doesn't have anything good up his sleeve superficial means on the surface right somethings are there for a reason like Bruno said "It's no secret that a strong trainer needs strong pokemon"

Losing to Brock and Iris would suck cause Brock's doesn't train cause he doesn't enjoy and Iris is rude so losing to her would put her statusly ahead of me and she's more lucky than anything sure she has decent skills but she's definitely no badge collector

I'd hate to lose to Ash because that would mean the writers would be against me. Plus Ash is a horrible trainer and half his team is unevolved.

I know I would hate to Lose Against Ash Or Iris because I feel like I would be a Complete Loser because Ash Loses a lot, and Iris barely even Battles at all and has had Some Not So Deserving Wins.

    To start things off:

Trip: Can't stand him. Overly obnoxious and overly confident for no reason. Especially since he overuses his Starter Pokemon to the point of ridiculousness.

Cameron: If I lost to this moron, I would repeatedly slam my head into the nearest hard object for the rest of my life. Losing to an complete idiot who doesn't even know a full battle means 6-on-6, not 5-on-5, would humiliate me to the point I'd crawl into a hole and wait for me to die.

TRio: Obviously, like everyone else, due to their pathetic level of skill, and their thieving ways, if I lost to them, then the universe is telling me to quit while I still have some dignity left.

Tobias: If I was pitted against him, then the universe is telling me I am so screwed and don't deserve to achieve anything. While he is awesome, getting effortlessly mowed down by him would crush me forever.

And, the icing on the cake... IRIS!!! All her wins were pure luck and brute strength. If it took Krookodile to evolve just to beat Dragonite, then losing to her would be a severe blow to me. She's such an obnoxious, over glorified, overconfident, lazy, stuck-up little b**** that losing to her would just fuel her fire of ignorance. I feel sorry for Georgia, having that big-haired jack@$$ girl as a rival. One day, I would LOVE to see Iris put in her place; crushed, destroyed, her spirit annihilated for all eternity. Losing to her would be the worst thing that could ever happen to me. What were the writers thinking with her!? Losing to her game counterpart wouldn't be so bad, as she was nice and helpful, but her anime counterpart, good god, I would want to die right there. Above all, Iris would be the one person I would be so ashamed of losing to, I'd jump off a cliff in despair.

Yeah wasn’t thinking about Cameron on the poll because I know the results would be off the charts!!! Haha, but yeah I’d hate losing to a complete dumbass. He’s like a combo of Ash’s stupidity, Barry/Bianca’s “attack attack attack!!!!!” strategy, and Iris’ stupid luck.

Ash, will something tells me if I had to battle his stupid BW self, I wouldn’t want to. Know why? Because I could be using my best Pokemon and whopping his sorry butt and team of pathetic weaklings only to have the karma of PLOT get Pikachu to kill strike my crew. That would be the ultimate loss. Though if it were AG/DP Ash then I know I’d be in for a good battle so the results of that match wouldn’t bother me because I know I’d be fighting Ash at his prime.

Iris don’t get me started I’m sure everyone has already covered why losing to her would be unacceptable like Misty she has a Pokemon that summon god-like power when her Pokemon that are actually worth 2 cent takes a fall.

Tobias…wow I can’t prepare for a battle against him because we only seen 2 of his 6 (or possibly even more legendaries…).

Hm, it honestly does depend in how the battle is executed, and their team in the match. I could probably comprehend any loss, because I am not a spectacular trainer, and I think most trainers in the Anime would be better than I.

Though, a defeat to Team Rocket would be something I wouldn't bear, but more so if they were their old, incompetent selves.

Honestly, Team Rocket is kind of tricky because even though it is Jessie and James you gotta think; would they be using JUST their Pokemon in battle or would you also have to waste time/energy fighting against and destroying some kind of machine or other contraption in their arsenal? However, it has been seen that the Pokemon in the show can easily blast through machines like it was Dragonball Z or something heck we've seen explosions from movies that shouldn't even cause a something to blow up.

So, I guess that wouldn't be a factor after all :p

A bunch of COTD's lol but i'll just include main characters..

Iris: Even with Dragonite, she has a long way to go before I consider her a competent Dragon Trainer. Considering how many times my Gyarados has defeated Lance's Dragonite, i'd be extremely disappointed if he couldn't beat someone who can barely control hers. Dragonite is strong and I believe Iris will be great in the future, but just not now.

    Cameron: Enough said haha

Trip: His strategy with Serperior is weak. I'd feel really bad if my Infernape couldn't overcome Leer and good speed, seeing as how he should be able to take Serperior's attacks all day AND we would have the type advantage. Also, one or two Flame Charges would make Serperior's speed less of a factor. Mind you that's assuming Serperior is as fast as he's made out to be. Im tempted to say one fire attack of mine would hit and be more than enough.

Drew: Not necessarily because I think little of his battling skills, just because I hate loosing in anything to arrogant people. I'd hate to loose to him.
