This is actually my Platinum team and I actually didn't use a Quilava...Mostly because I couldn't get a Cyndaquil in the game, though my Monferno I named Blake(Named after an anthro Monferno character I use in an RP group on deviantArt) was a huge help to me in the game and against Ash I think he'd do very well, having the advantage over Sceptile, Snorlax, and Heracross. Besides...I love that fire monkey XD

I want to battle Ash's Charizard, Krookodile, Pikachu, Swellow, Snorlax, Torterra

Staraptor/Swellow: Staraptor has better moves but Swellow seems to be naturally stronger. Either is a fine choice though.
Sceptile: Didn't use torterra cause it always got it's ass kicked after the evolution. Sceptile only got stronger and more badass.

Snorlax: Fat man's a badass why the writer's didn't bring it back is anyone's guess.

Pikachu is a given, though I'd also like to battle his Charizard, of course! Outside those two, probably also either Bayleef or Bulbasaur, Staraptor, Heracross, Squirtle, and Snorlax. He can pull really unpredictable strategies with some of these Pokemon and they're pretty diverse as far as types go, though I wouldn't mind battling anything he has in the long run.

This is a league style match I thought up against him. It's pretty long so I've put it in separate spoilers for each round.

As for the battle:

Round 1:

Round 1 is Sceptile vs Aerodactyl. Despite landing a few early hits with Leaf Blade, Sceptile soon finds itself on the back foot against Aerodactyl's speed and is recalled after being pummeled by Sky Drop.

Round 2:

Round 2 is Pikachu vs Aerodactyl. Pikachu's Static stops Aerodactyl in its tracks after a Fire Fang. Pikachu then dodges a desperate Stone Edge and wins it with Iron Tail and then Thunderbolt, which leads to Ash being up 1-0. Unfazed, I send out my next Pokémon...

Round 3:

Round 3 is Pikachu vs Samurott. Ash's initial surprise over my choice quickly turns to horror when Samurott begins attacking with Dig multiple times. Pikachu is quickly recalled.

Round 4:

Round 4 is Sceptile vs Samurott. Sceptile is a little tired from its previous bout with Aerodactyl but still inflicts serious damage on Samurott during a Leaf Blade/Megahorn clash. Sceptile then fires a Leaf Storm which appears to hit only to reveal that Samurott has dodged with a last minute Dig. Samurott then comes out behind Sceptile and wins with a Megahorn before Sceptile even realises what happened. It's 1-1.

Round 5:

Round 5 is Charizard vs Samurott. Samurott starts off with a Torrent boosted Aqua Tail that Charizard barely dodges. Charizard's Flamethrower is avoided by another Dig, but another Flamethrower fired into the hole sees a burned Samurott shoot out of it. Taking the advantage, Charizard defeats Samurott with Seismic Toss and leaves the battle 2-1. Ash then recalls Charizard.

Round 6:

Round 6 is Heracross vs Durant. The two Bug types square off and begin fighting, and the battle appears to be pretty even with Megahorn clashing with X-Scissor and Hyper Beam clashing with Stone Edge. Durant's small size allows it to dodge another Hyper Beam and land a few Thunder Fangs while Heracross recharged. Another collision, this time with Focus Punch and a close range Stone Edge, sees both Pokémon fainted and leaves the battle 3-2.

Round 7:

Round 7 is Krookodile vs Gengar. Krookodile immediatly goes on the offense with several Aerial Aces but Gengar is able to stop the last one with a Focus Blast and follow up with Disable to stop further use of the move. Krookodile's Stone Edge then clashes with Gengar's Thunderbolt to create a cloud of smoke which Gengar then uses to land a close range Shadow Ball without being seen. Krookodile then knocks Gengar back with Dragon Claw but Gengar then uses Focus Blast. Krookodile literally rips the Focus Blast into shreds with another Dragon Claw but the resulting explosion puts him out for the count. The battle is now down to 3-3 and I recall Gengar.

Round 8:

Round 8 is Pikachu vs Chandelure. Chandelure is initially unable to land any hits on Pikachu because of his use of Quick Attack to dodge and ends up taking hits from Thunderbolt and Electro Ball. As Pikachu fired another Electro Ball, Chandelure blocks the move with Energy Ball and stops Pikachu from moving with Telekinesis. Unable to dodge any more, Pikachu takes back to back hits of Energy Ball, Shadow Ball, and Inferno, which puts him out of the match. It's now 3-4.

Round 9:

Round 9 is Snorlax vs Chandelure. Snorlax appeared virtually unfazed by Chandelure's attacks, his heavy weight stopped Telekinesis from working and he took Energy Balls and even Infernos without even moving an inch. Snorlax then lands several Ice Punches, with one of them managing to freeze Chandelure. Snorlax's Hyper Beam is then aimed at the ice encasing Chandelure, the resulting explosion defeating it. The match is now 4-4.

Round 10:

Round 10 is Snorlax vs Gengar. Snorlax starts up with Ice Punch which Gengar easily dodges. A Disable then stops the move from being used and leaves Snorlax majorly screwed over. Several Focus Blasts later, Snorlax is down. Ash is now down to his last Pokémon and I'm sure we all know who it is...

Round 11:

Round 11 is Charizard vs Gengar. Charizard comes out raring to go, having taken no damage from its earlier battle against Samurott. The battle starts with a clash of Charizard's new move Dragon Pulse and Gengar's Shadow Ball which both Pokémon survive. Gengar then stops any more Dragon Pulses with Disable and lands a Thunderbolt. Charizard survives it however and blocks another Thunderbolt with Steel Wing, with the result stunning everyone. Charizard's wings had absorbed the electricity and it attacks Gengar with the electrified Steel Wings for major damage. A follow up close range Flamethrower defeats Gengar and evens the match up with one left on each side.

Round 12:

Round 12 is Charizard vs Metagross. Metagross starts off narrowly dodging two Flamethrowers and blocks a Dragon Pulse with Ice Punch before sticking its two front feet into the ground and pulling out big chunks of the battlefield before freezing them both with an Ice Punch while still holding them. Charizard is hit by the first frozen chunk which shatters, before using Flamethrower on Metagross and forcing it to block that attack with the other chunk, which melts the ice around it. Metagross still begins to attack with it before Charizard destroys it with Dragon Pulse, then uses Flamethrower to hit Metagross hard before it can react. Still fighting on, Metagross blasts forward with a Zen Headbutt that initially pushes Charizard back until it (Charizard) stops the attack. Charizard then tries Seismic Toss but is unable to due to Metagross's high weight, with me mentioning that it outweighs even Snorlax before Metagross performs an uppercut ThunderPunch to knock Charizard down. Metagross tries another ThunderPunch but Charizard blocks with Steel Wing and absorbs the electricity again. Rushing forward with electrified Steel Wings again, Charizard attacks but finds itself stopped by the wings by ThunderPunch, the clash of electricity causing an explosion that hits both Pokémon hard. The tired Charizard uses Flamethrower but the equally tired Metagross hits the battlefield floor with Meteor Mash, kicking up stones to block the attack. Metagross then uses Zen Headbutt, pushing Charizard back like before. Charizard is too worn out to stop the attack this time and is knocked on its back before getting up and using Flamethrower. Metagross is able to barely push through the attack however by putting Ice Punches in front of it. It then hits Charizard with the dual Ice Punches before finally defeating Charizard with another uppercut ThunderPunch. I won the battle (barely...) 5-6.

Same here, helps that they made Ash a complete noob when Best Wishes started. The fact that his Pikachu that was strong enough to knock out a Latios and Regice got owned by a snivy fresh out of the lab should say something.

I noticed a lot of people said they would battle AG or DP Ash and I get what ya'll are saying. I mean in BW it seems that the bites from Turtwig and Gible on his head had finally taken their toll on his brain...

It's odd because when Psyduck gets his head bitten he actually becomes better :O

So what does that say exactly about Ash's intelligence compared to a Psyduck's?
