bull. While it is true that a company called JASRAC requires money for using Japanese Pocket Monsters music, the same is also true for every other Japanese cartoon that makes it across the Pacific. And yet Pokemon is one of the few shows to get replacement music. So either Miyazaki Shinji's TV music is too prohibitively expensive (yet his movie music isn't...?), or TPCI is too cheap to pay for music just like everyone else.
