Where did all of those villains from Diamond and Pearl come from (e.g.: Hunter J, Team Galactic, some mean Trainers)? Even though they have been defeated from time to time by Ash and his friends, they keep coming back as if they were mere hallucinations/interruptions after them. There were hardly any of them in the other series especially in Best Wishes.
Hunter J isn't actively seeking Ash and his gang out -she just poaches rare Pokemon and legendaries, and Ash tends to meet those kind of Pokemon semi-regularly. Team Galactic members are another random occurence; they'll often show up where the twerps are training - not to bother them, but to advance their own goals. The twerps only actively seek them out near the end.
And since Ash and Paul have the same goal, they're bound to bump into each other.
At least Ash and Paul aren't rivals to each other anymore. It got resolved after the Pokémon League.
The law of coincidences means if an important pokemon is about to be stolen by J Ash will always be there. Same as TG.
DP was very villain heavy, that's one of the main reasons I didn't care for it. Especially the whole Hunter Jay thing, it bored me. The reason why they hung around? Meh, Ash attracts trouble.
Satoshi-tachi HAD to run into TG because they were in the games' storyline. Hunter J and Paul were just sweet, kickass bonuses :-D
Oh how I wish we could've had villainy near that cool in BW :-(
DP had the only well written villains of the series.
Much better than Team Magma/Aqua who started off decent but then got handled badly, or Team Plasma who were non-existent.
I agree. They actually put in motion why they were doing the things they were doing. This is why I liked the Galactic grunts over JJM.Quote:

I kind of noticed a difference between the series that Ash was able to concentrate on his training better when they weren't around.
