If the Top 128 round is indeed the preliminary and is not counted as the "first round," then I guess you're right. I knew that Ash vs. Kotetsu was the fourth round, but I didn't know the Top 128 round didn't count.
In that case, Ash will defeat Kotetsu in Top 8 and will probably lose to Virgil in Top 4. It's just a round over.
He will win the league and N will invite him to his castle.
He will not win the league and N will invite him to his castle.
Seriously, though, it's become mind-boggling how to continue to claim that Ash will win the league, despite all the evidence against it, as if you're the lead writer of the anime. Though, tbh, I knew you would, in spite of the recent news, because I knew that nothing will convince you to think otherwise other than actually watching the last league episode yourself, and all because you WANT it to happen and for no other reason.
*sigh* Well... go ahead and continue to believe whatever you want, but be prepared for the hardest slap to the face you've ever experienced.

I honestly don't quite understand how you came to that conclusion. Like I mentioned before, N's appearance makes it even more likely that Ash will lose the League to Virgil, as opposed to a sign of him winning it, since I don't think that they would announce a new arc coming in January if Ash won the League and could get to the Champion League. Plus, I don't think that there's enough time to cover the rest of the League and I seriously doubt that they would skip full battles. I understand that you want to see Ash win a League, but I don't see any solid evidence pointing to that conclusion.

With the new evidence of episode N, I wouldn't be surprised if Ash won the league and travelled round Unova, challenging the Elite 4 along with N, having won the league.
It's unlikely, but possible.
If Ash were eligible to battle the Elite Four, why would he need to travel around Unova? They're supposed to be challenged consecutively in a single place.
Yes, it is.It's unlikely
