Seriously can't she use anything else but the freaking Dragonite? People are allowed to use more than one Pokemon so she has no excuse this time. Why must the anime make it so hard for me to like Iris? I guess its her new trump card. Please Krokorok, evolve into Krookodile and take it down.

Seriously, that's all I have to say! I was about ready to post that I think Ash actually has a shot of winning this battle, despite Iris' status throughout the series, and then I see this and realize I can already rest easy! I can honestly say that I don't give a crap that Krokorok evolves mid-battle to take down this beast, despite how cheap that may be, because if that's what it takes to knock Iris down twenty pegs from her celestial plane and back to reality, then so be it. Now if only this will lead to actual development for Iris, then hopefully I can actually find her likeable instead of a huge disappointment, and maybe even forgive the writers for giving her an undeserved, uber Dragonite (nah...).

This is the best news I've heard in a while. Now excuse me while I rejoice.

Ah, excellent. Not only is Krookodile one of my favorite Pokemon, watching it take down the Deus Ex Machine Dragon itself is very satisfying. Even though I cannot believe I'm actually happy for an Ash victory.

Ok this was definitely a well predicted outcome but while im glad Dragonite isn't the murder-beast people claim it to be, i must say this. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Now Ash will inevitably lose to Trip in the finals which makes this Trip's third victory against Ash, especially since Ash seems to do much better against Trip each time they battled but the writers aren't gonna have Ash beat Trip before the League so, again i must say this. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

YESS!! Thank you so much writers!! Even if Trip won against Iris I would have still been happy. I'm more happy that it turned out this way, now Ash gets to redeem himself in that Don tournament and faces Trip in the finales. It'd be even better if for once he won against his rival some thing other than the league, lets say this...Trip looses and trains some more to beat Ash in the league finally we have a rivalry on way, will see ^
Now I'm actually excited for the finales again.

That makes Dragonite's onscreen battling record 2 wins and 2 loses.

Not bad.

Krokorok evolving doesn't bother me. We've seen it take down strong opponents like Brycen's Beartic and train onscreen. This makes it the 5th evolution that has happened during a trainer battle this saga.

I had doubts about the round at first. Anyway, if Ash is in the finals then Shooty made it through as well? I hope so.

Oh yes. Looks really nice, though I'm certain he will learn a new move in the show. His moveset is currently really missing that extra fourth move, and I simply cant imagine them ignoring this free chance of giving it to him here.

A little worried about the animation quality being rather lacking though, judging from that official site picture.

I wonder who will be Shooty's rival?
