too bad axew didnt come with OnStar... that would save them trouble from trying to trck him down. but why would they need a filler in the middle of the leauge?

Obviously to waste time as the writers cbf to make a league all about the rivals and the battles. They have to waste league time for team rocket for no real reason but to pad out episodes so they wouldnt have to put as much effort into the battles. Now that TR is gone axew is the best replacement.

In theory putting a filler right in the middle of a League isn't as horrible as it looks, given the unique circumstances surrounding this series where there's not only a lack of comedic Team Rocket filling in for time, but we've had three tournaments spanning 4 episodes each across this relatively short series - the most recent one being only ten episodes apart from the time that the Unova League starts. So this is very much overkill. However... making the filler about Axew being the damsel in distress for the umpteenth time? Really? That's getting as old as Piplup having its whiny bitchy brat spiels whenever it's not the center of attention. Not to mention I suspect this'll translate to screentime for Iris, who really really really doesn't need any more of that, especially in the middle of the League where this is the main protagonist's time for focus, thank you.

But in all seriousness, I'm encouraging this League to suck ass in every way possible. Having a filler on a subject that's frankly been covered well enough in this series is just icing on the suck-ass cake. Why yes, I love passing judgments on episodes before we know everything about them. I just have this sixth sense - intuition that this episode will stick out like a sore thumb. And personally, I'm all for getting through this League as quickly as possible as I don't give two shits what happens after Ash grants Trip that fabulous Top 128 ranking.

... It would be a really fun episode if Trip was the Axew-stealing culprit, though. He snaps after getting humiliated by Ash and goes for the route of sabotage in this filler in a last-ditch attempt to be an interesting character! Hahahaha. This series doesn't have the balls to try that, I bet.

I also vote the true name of this episode should be "Axew, Get Lost!" as well. :P

Another Garbodor?! Are the writers kidding me? A Garbodor was just featured as Roxie's final pokemon at the end of BW Season 1. Why would the writers detract from the league competition, and have certain rivals get eliminated after only one or two 1-on-1 battles, just for the third episode to be completely pointless filler in which a COTD befriends a Garbodor?
