To be honest with the way Dawn's cameo has been handled, it makes you wonder why they even did make so much promotion out of it in the first place. I wonder if she'll be removed from the opening after this episode airs.
I hope her goodbye here is handled well, although it obviously won't be as good as her DP191 sendoff.

Mimirol is in dire need of a good battle and Magmarashi needs to show what it can do since evolving. I'd like an evolution, a new move, something memorable, I don't know.
Shame, double battles mean twice the Pokémon and twice the chance to make unique combinations by Hikari, while still getting the chance to showcase the Pokémon, I feel that triple battle would be too busy, especially since it looks to be a short battle. I'd like to see a battle that really would inject some contest combinations like Hikari v Dent, but even better and bigger (and longer, plz) Triple battles could happen, it would be a good way to showcase them more after the Maracacchi episode. I'd actually like a Pochama/Magmarahi team up because of that combination they were working on in the Hikari special. Mimirol/Magmarashi is another promising combo. However, from the looks of things, the chances of Ash and Dawn having even a 2 vs 2 battle are slim. Unless they have a triple battle, I don't see her other Pokemon making an appearance.
Iris worshiping time. I don't think we'll ever see her again, so I'm glad we're getting to see it be about her and Satoshi.
I wonder if Dawn will finally say anything about her Hoenn journey in her final episode, I'd honestly laugh if nothing was mentioned about her ribbons or rivals at all. Its like the writers just choose to ignore it.
Honestly, I kind of have my doubts about that, considering I don't see much point in bringing that up when she's about to leave - that's something that should have been addressed earlier. It is rather strange that she didn't, though; she mentioned BROCK for crying out loud.
I'd like to see the episode happen almost the exact same way as DP191 - Piplup finds out it has to leave Meloetta and goes into a crying fit again. Meloetta tries to calm it down with a song, but that only makes it more sad about leaving, then Togekiss pops out and gives mothering a go. Then, pull out the Pokedex and scan Meloetta, emphasise the whole genderless thing, shocked look on Oshawott's face and a 'nothing to do here' from Piplup then fly away on a jetpack.
Ash then has no idea what happened, Iris calls him a kid and normal service is resumed.
I guess Dawn's contest quest is so unimportant now the writers don't feel the need to give us any updates on it. Oh well, its not like it really matters what happened on her quest anyway.
When looking back all in all, personally im grateful for what Dawn got. She got more episodes for her appearance than May and Misty had combined, had enjoyable dynamic in cast, she battled Cilan, there was fun rivalry between Piplup and Oshawott, she entered Junior Cup playing some role in issue between Iris and her pokemon being solved as well showing to us how much she improved since last time. There is also going to be battle against Ash giving to fans something they wished to happen for whole DP.
I enjoyed while it lasted, because we probably won't see her for very long time again sadly.
Buneary, Quilava, Pachirisu and even Togekiss are in desperate need for some focus. It would be cool if she used Quilava in that battle and two on two clash sounds interesting enough not being completely impossible.
I really liked May battle against Ash at end of BF, or vs Misty in Whirl Cup and hopefully writers will deliver us spectacle out from Dawn and ASh clash with double duel being nice throwback to Sinnoh days which used this concept quite often.
Unless writers confirm we will never see older characters again, all bets are still open. After Jessibelle returned after 11 years of absence, this was enough proof for me how anyone in reality can be brought back.Except for the ones that did...
I doubt this was Dawn "final return".
As for tombstone comment. Misty is still massively popular, her story was left unresolved and there exists room to do more(both in goal and character sense), so i still think she will return at some point(whenever that will be).
I don't think that Solarbeam in the previews is going to be the move that finshes Pignite it seems a bit TOO obvious. Not that the previews haven't done that in the past. Pretty clear that we won't see an Pignite evolving scene here lol
It would fit in Ash's battle style in the Unova region; his Pokemon is getting beat only for it to take a lot of damage and then BAM! Evolve on the spot and secure a win.
Nice to see Ash finally get a win over Iris. Seems a bit disappointing in the sense that Ash takes down a Pokemon that has beaten 2 Pokemon with a clear advanatge over it. Oh well, Ash beats Iris that's all that matters to me.
What would be nice to see is Fire Pledge being used to burn up Frenzy Plant! That would be a classic Ash move right there. I know Hyper Beam was shown to easily pass through Fire Pledge but with Frenzy Plant being vines, it would amazing to make the battle a bit tougher for Trip.
Flame Charge was missing and for good reason because if it did hit that would mean Pignite's Speed would increase giving the writers an even harder job on how Serperior could beat a Fire Type (again...)
I just hope that Pignite doesn't use Tackle...it would ruin a final round battle in my opinion. I think (hopefully) Ash will stick to Fire moves to do some damage.
Would have been interesting for Ash to use his Flying type...but its nice seeing Pignite and Ash battling together again I just love its development since it was caught in episode 4 :)
It doesn't make much sense that the between Ash and Dawn battle is supposedly being their "first battle". I guess training battles don't count? I wouldn't be surprised to see Dawn or Ash win, a tie almost seems....to obvious.
