They're the same as always so I don't know why they'd react any different. Satoshi never commented on their supposed "change" after all.

I completely disagree. They're much morematuresoulless/robot-like/emotionless than they ever were in DP, IMO:

BW 027 "The Road to Become a Dragon Master! Kibago VS Crimgan!!" Review Thread
- Satoshi/Ash Ketchum: 765 episodes
- Team Rocket: 706 episodes
- Takeshi/Brock: 630 episodes
- Kasumi/Misty: 280 episodes
- Hikari/Dawn: 201 episodes
- Haruka/May: 197 episodes
- Masato/Max: 192 episodes
- Iris: 108 episodes
- Dent/Cilan: 104 episodes
- Kenji/Tracey: 43 episodes
But there's nothing to suggest they're being goofy again.
Uhm, I don't recall if someone else already asked, but why is "Friend" at episode name quoted?

...NOOOO!
Whenever I see "friend" in quotation marks, it's usually because of other implications (i.e. So Ash, who's your new "friend"?)
Not that the fangirls need that kind of encouragement
I'm interested to see how N reacts to the TRio using their Pokemon for personal gain, to see if his views are as black and white as in BW1 or whether his judgement is more nuanced like in BW2.

I'd love it if he tried to convince Nyasu to leave them.
EV training, you're too old for this! Exploiting the game 'cause you don't have a life, beating up kids makes you feel like a maaaaan! EV training yeaaaaaaaah!!
I thought about him stabbing them in their backs and dominating the world right after, then I realized I was overthinking. D:
I can see it happening because there's always an episode about the TRio disbanding or Meowth leaving, and N may trigger this, even if it's just for an episode.
No, they weren't. With their BW selves, they actually managed to accomplish some stuff, and their presence in an episode was only required from time to time, and not in each and every episode that came. They weren't really that much more impressive in BW, but definitely more than in previous sagas.

Uh, like what? All their plans ended up failing. I do agree that they looked more impressive, though.
But anyway, we should probably stop this because this is a thread for Episode N. I doubt we're going back to the good ol' days. Sucks for me, but I guess it's good for you XD

But of course they would. What, did you expect the bad guys to win in Pokémon? What I meant is that they actually did accomplish some minor things and getting pretty far in their missions. As in what happened at the Dream Yard, the Subway arc, the arc with the ancient Pokémon and the whole Kami Trio ending.
I'm pretty sure that they're returning to their old selves.
