Thread: Spring Awards: Winners, and Overall Voting (open until April 2)

Hi, everyone!

Here I am, announcing the winners of our Spring Awards long last to you all.

I must say, I was very surprised by the quantity of ties among the nominated fiction pieces and characters, as well as the wide distribution of the voting, which clearly indicates there has been much reading during this period and that we have a lot of quality works around the place. Honestly, what a pleasant surprise!

The relevant rules for what follows (the overall voting) are below:

Nominators and Voters
Main: Users registered before March 1 may nominate for Awards and for Honorary Mentions, and may vote for Awards. They cannot nominate or vote for their own work, however.
Exception: Workshop moderators cannot nominate for Awards or Honorary Mentions, but will decide on the Honorary Mentions.

Votes
Main: Users must vote for at least one Format category, one Character category, and either one Pokemon Story or Assorted Fiction category. They only have one vote per category.
Exception: In case of a tie, announced at the end of the voting period, the users won't be allowed to vote anew. The moderators will decide the Award winner and will give the runner up an Honorary Mention.

Continue voting until April 1, and please keep having reading and writing fun at the Workshop!

Aww, I didn't win the Best Reviewer award. Ah well

Also (2): It's suspicious that I voted for the winner in each of the tied categories. Hopefully that had nothing to do with it >_>

WOW :O I can't believe Hanoko won! But I'm so overjoyed that she has :D The reception towards this granny has been fantastic and astounding, so I'm so so sooooooo glad that she won :) Thanks to everyone who voted for her, and congratulations to all the other winners as well!

Also, do you we vote for an overall Format, Story and Character, or just overall Story and Character?

Relaxation was just written to get rid of a tiny bout of writer's block. Written in one sitting on a day when my mind was deader than a doornail. And it won a frickin' award.

Overall voting is when we vote on the winners in each category to have kind of like a "grand champion" award for the fics.

(But so far, nobody who's posted in this thread has even voted so far... >_>)
