Pokemon- A Way Of Life- Chapter 1
Well, this is a little story I've been slowly writing. It's called "Pokemon- A Way of Life". I hope you like it :)
"Okay, pick your starter Pokemon, Madeline," A man who called himself "Professor Rowan" told me. He shook his hand, vibrating it a little. Rowan walked with a shuffle, and he had almost clear, white hair. I had no clue how old he was, but I'm guessing he was older then he looked.
"Okay, sir, I will," I picked up the first little ball I saw, and I pressed the button, not sure what to do exactly. My older brother, Mathias, had been a Pokemon Trainer, but he'd never taught me anything. The button clicked in place, as I faced it away from me.
A small monkey popped out. His tail blazing red, yellow, and orange, and his tiny hands, a tanned color. He shrieked a little, excited to see a new face. This Pokemon was nothing like Mathias' calm Turtwig.
"Chim-Chimchar!" He cried, and danced around in little circles.
"This, is a Chimchar. A monkey Pokemon. He has a very happy attitude, and is a strong battler. Do you choose him?" Rowan announced, his voice clear and loud. I couldn't help but gaze in amazement at the small Pokemon. So happy, so lively...so me.
"Yes, sir, I choose Chimchar to be my starter Pokemon," I knew this Pokemon was the one, to travel across the land of Sinnoh with me.
A new adventure awaited me as I looked down upon the orange monkey. He jumped up and down, happily. A smile danced across my freckled face. Slowly, I bent down, towards the little monkey. Before I could even blink, he was up next to me, playing with my hand. I giggled happily, oh my gosh, how adorable.
"I will call you....Blaze," I nodded towards him. "Blaze,"
"Chim-Chimchar!!" He danced in circles. This small, innocent Chimchar, would won day be at the top of the Pokemon league, as an Infernape.
"Well then, I want Piplup," My twin sister looked at me. It was if I was looking in a mirror. She was a little shorter then me, and she didn't have as many freckles, but she was still...me. Just as my sister. With all of the excitement, I had forgotten that she was standing there next to me.
"Nice choice, Maya," The old man threw my sister a red & white ball. She reached up her hand, and caught the ball, as if it was magnetically pulled towards her hand. Maya pressed the button, and out popped a miniature penguin.
"Hello, Piplup," She looked at it. The small Pokemon did nothing but stare. It would not talk, nor walk, nor move.
"This Piplup is the youngest of the three avaliable starters. She may be shy, but she can battle when she wants too. She'll take a lot of work to train, and it won't be easy," Rowan looked at her in the eye. Confidently, a smile crossed her face.
"Next time you see this thing, Professor, it'll be winning the Pokemon League," She then bent down, picked up the Piplup, and began to walk away.
"Is she always like that?" Professor Rowan asked, holding his hand to his chin.
"Sadly enough, yes," I said, looking at him.
"Well, would you like to battle this Turtwig or not?"
"What do you think?" I asked him, and then winked.
This was the start of a new adventure. The journey to become a Pokemon Master. Would it be easy? No, but I don't need easy, I just need possible.
