Not disappointed. Just confused cus in Kanto Oak is supposed to give either bulba, charmander or squirtle.

To specify it. Pocket Monsters is set in an alternate Universe that takes the games into a more realistic light. This universe has different characters and names for the cities than in the games taken as a reconstruction and for lack of a better word, reboot of the Pokemon franchise.

How come it's still in Kanto then? I don't get it.

I like the writing just a lot of words to read.

I used Kanto as the name of the country, but yes, you will notice a lot of differences from the canon world you are familiar with. The story is designed to be read with an open mind as there will be lots of things that don't match up with the traditional Pokemon World.

Thanks for reading and leaving feedback :)

Fun fact: Kanto is actually a region in Japan and Saffron City was originally based on Tokyo.

Sorry I just had to say that fun fact.

    Yep

Kantō region - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Anyways leg I finally finished the chapter and I have to say that while at first I didn't like the fact that Milo lost (because I really liked his victory in the first one) I still like what came after it and it really helped in giving us more depth about his character and backstory. I can't believe Rena just fell sleep though that's really rude :(

    Thanks Flame Haze!

With the changes I made to Milo's monsters, I wanted the story to be more realistic. Anyways, I appeciate your review :)

All right, so I'm all caught up and I HAVE to ask myself why I ever fell out of touch with the original. Obviously, I'm not all that familiar with some of the changes (I recognized Luxio right off the bat, though), but I'll take everyone's word for it that they're for the better.

Milo's a lot more relatable this time around, instead of being a rather vague nerd-type character. (Not saying he was bad in the original!) I'm also really glad to see Izzy getting a larger role this time around, as I was somewhat disappointed with her usage last time. Also liking Rena (how would you pronounce that, out of curiosity?), though I kinda feel like her relationship with Milo's progressed rather quickly, though I suppose that's not the rarest thing in fan fiction. :P

I'm not sure if Andy's ever going to come back into the story, but I hope he does. It's always nice to see the old characters around. Cindy as well, obviously. Though Bryce, I couldn't care less about. :P

I can't really say much about the story yet, since it hasn't progressed very far, but it's very solid and cohesive so far.

Your grammar seems to be slipping here and there, but nothing overt.

Thanks Lugion. I need to watch the grammar and spelling. I just get bogged down with the length of my chapters, not to mention I'm writing this entire fic from my iPad so auto-correct sometimes takes over :/

Anyways thank you so much for reading and reviewing.

iPad, huh? Kinda makes me glad I have a laptop instead. :P

But, yeah, like I said, the grammar's generally not too big an issue, as I can only think of one time that it took me out of the story while I was reading, and I think it was because you used two different words that don't work together, as if you'd written something a certain way, decided it wasn't satisfactory, and forgotten to delete the first word. But other than that, it was just minor issues that I might just be wrong about. Like "splint", rather than "split", right?

EDIT: I remember that specific example I was talking about now. "... part one of those protesters." I think it was Chapter 3.

Haha yeah it's not the easiest to type with an iPad, but it's better than nothing :)

Thanks for the tips tho. I need to do a better job of proof reading.

That's something you should ask in his profile not on the thread.
