Hello, this is my first fic and non-pokemon fic. I might not satisfy your taste but, I think you might get interested...
PG-13-some bad language
In the world of destruction, there were four sorcerers. Each sorcerer was guarding a treasure and different territory. But these sorcerers never saw each other or know about one another. They only had the assignment of guarding the treasure and their land until it was time, when other guardians took their places. Even spirits of the dead had guarded these lands…
The world of destruction back centuries ago was divided to five big territories. All of the territories had similar names meaning chaos and power. But one land surrounded by water in the dark seas, had a peaceful name. It had the meaning of hope, Nadezda. This name was a hope for other creatures and humans to thrive in their small paradise stranded with water.
The other lands had bitter names…
Acacia-The land of Spirits
Lamya- The land of Danger
Tanek-The land of Death
Tacitus-The land of Illness
But the lands with bitter names had four gatherings before a spell was cast upon the destruction world. Then they met and had a fight that would change the world and destroy Nadezda. But Nadezda didn’t guard any treasures or territory. It was just a place where you hoped for survival. But the lucky part of this land was a hero was born, the ‘Omen Baby’.
Adren woke that early morning, eager to work. He was eager enough to skip breakfast and run out with his pajamas. It was his day, his day to test his skills on survival. All the kids in Nadezda were to test their skills on a test for survival. It was an obstacle to go far into the jungle of Nadezda and stay there by hunting down your own food. And Adren was up for it.
“Survival Test, here I come! I’m like the coolest kid in Nedazda! There is no way I can die here!” Adren roared when he jumped barefoot out of the abandoned old shack.
The old shack was for repairing boats, but because the lands population decreased. There were only fifty-four humans roaming in the small town of Nadezda. And one of those humans was Adren, who was living alone in the small abandoned shack. But he wasn’t alone; he fed the family of mice in his small shelter with beard and berries he would find. He would play with his ripped old socks and pretend they were puppets when he was trapped inside when it rained. But, he never felt the love of a parent supporting him. And it made him jealous of other kids on the big island.
Surprisingly, Adren was an orphan. He was very clueless, an idiot, and he never paid attention to other things except on food. On the other hand, he was short for his age, and he was very annoying after awhile if he started bragging about himself. He was very selfish and he was a thief.
Adren stole a lot of things such as, fruit, bread, lanterns, trash, and money. But he didn’t steal because he was poor, but that he never had a proper way of living a normal life by trade. “Hey, it’s the bread lady!” Adren would point out when he caught a glance of the lady. But unusually he did not spot her that morning.
The sun slowly rose higher while Adren took his time and walked down the muddy dirt road. His bare feet felt gushy in the thick mud as he crossed fields of rice and fruit. But harvest was hard in a summer morning in Nadezda; the fields were too close to the ocean. And the sea-level grew higher everyday.
“I will survive through that stupid test, I’ll prove to everyone I can live! I'm going to show everyone, I'm better like them.”
But Adren made it this far on his own alone. He was already surviving in a funny way. He was living in a way he enjoyed but while thinking about it…he felt something twist his liking of things. He felt different.
“What the heck?” Adren stared down at his fingers. They were tingling.
Other people treated him differently. He had something that everyone hated around him, in him. His selfish behavior and temper that controled him. he simply didn't care for others, because he never felt love before. His heart was just filled with his own courage and selfishness.
He was a fool to others, he was viewed to be a spoiled child. And Adren was tired of others judging him. What bothered others was his past, his exsistance, and his personality. So others thought that he, Adren, was the 'Omen Kid'. The child born with an unfortunate life. Living alone now, was miserable.
Adren was about eleven, he had dirty wavy blonde hair and he had a small scar of a cross above his left eye. This scar gave him a lot of mystery to his past and he wondered about it often when, it began to glow bright red. But as normal skin was a bit tanned and he was wearing a pair of worn-out pajamas which the color used to be dark blue, turned into a pale bluish color. It matched Adren perfectly, even though it was old.
But most importantly about Adren, it was his eyes. They were different than other humans. They were not a usual color for eyes, they were violet blue. And they were like jewels; they were very colorful and big. And that was the only part on his face that made others, admire him. But there were other villagers who thought, “He is the ‘Omen Child’! Make his stay away!” And they soon did so and ignored Adren and his admirable looks.
“Hey, kid!” A sixteen year old girl bellowed. Adren heard her and turned around.
It was a blonde haired girl in a rag dress clasping a bouquet of wild flowers in her hands.
Who would be up so early?
“What the heck do you want?” Adren answered back and stared blankly at the girl.
“I heard you’re the ‘Omen Kid’” She smirked.
So you think you’re so smart, eh?
Adren thought and sighed. He glanced at her and did a raspberry and laughed, “You believe in those fantasies? Come on, your joking!”
“So do you have some kind of power in your body?” She asked. She seriously believed that Adren was the ‘Kid’.
‘Why should I know? I don’t even know if I’m the ‘Omen Kid’! Stupid Omen! Damn parents!’ Adren thought and wondered. He snorted at her and walked away pretending she never asked him anything.
“Hey, Kid.” She called.
“Your some kid, you seem different from other kids. You’ve got a name?” She questioned.
He stopped and then in a blink of an eye, the girl vanished.
What the hell is going on? That girl just vanished! Adren thought and looked around trying to find any clues to her disappearance. And there, it was her bouquet of wild flowers lying on the muddy road behind him. But the wild flowers seemed different; they were fading to a brown dried-up color, making them seem lifeless. Adren picked the bouquet up and felt the dried leaves tingling in his fingers.
Was it a ghost, a spirit? What was that?
It mystified him. And then, he turned and began to head toward the center of town in, Nedazda.
I hope I satified your taste. Tomorrow, I shall continue.
