Thread: My Fanfiction Character

Name: Nareta Azakaya (Japanese: ナレタ Nareta)
Looks: Brown, medium-length hair, dark brown eyes
Personality: When she first started out, she was a cruel trainer who didn't care about her Pokemon. She was also extremely rude to everyone, including her elders, and insisted that she didn't need anyone. This changed after meeting a boy who explained to her that being a good trainer was better for her. After this, she became a nice trainer, deciding to try out a new lifestyle. She realized that the boy was right, and she enjoyed being nice to people and Pokemon. Finally, she was a very nice girl, completely different from her former self.
Good points: 1) She's strong. 2) She can fight for herself and knows how to do it well. 3) She's intelligent. 4) She's respectful. 5) She can be kind.
Flaws: 1) She gets herself into situations that are too dangerous. 2) She doesn't sleep a lot. 3) She can sound rude because she always speaks bluntly. 4) She could get herself killed because she'll lay down her life for her Pokemon. 5) She trains too much. 6) She eats too little. 7) She can't swim.
Phobias: 1) Heights (Anything that deals with planes to be exact). 2) Wide-open spaces. 3) Enclosed spaces. 4) Extremely small objects. 5) Curved blades. 6) Clowns. 7) Nozupasu. 8) Dainozu. 9) Bariyado.

This isn't much of an extensive list. It just gives you an idea.
Now then, this was Nareta when she was 10:

As I said, later that day, Fushigidane and Rizado were pitted against each other until neither of them could stand. When that happened, I made Raichu join in.

"Raichu, get them up. Now," I demanded, "use Thunder." Raichu lowered its ears, trying to fake a strong Thunder attack. I could tell it didn't put as much force as it could in its attack.

"Raichu, again. This time, do better." Raichu looked up me and then back at its comrades. Fushigidane could barely stand up, just laying there on its stomach. Rizado was laying against a nearby tree, pushing off of it with its front arms to try and get itself to stand up.

"Raichu!" Raichu protested, shaking its head at me.
"You will," I turned to face Raichu completely, placing one hand on my hip.
"Rai. ." Raichu seemed a little less forceful, but still didn't comply.
"If you won't, then Goruda-" I stopped when I heard rustling in the bushes. A small silver and white Pokémon popped out, looking up at me and smiling.

"Bui," it said in a soft and kind voice.
I pointed my Pokémon Zukan at it, "Ibui, the Evolution Pokémon. An extremely rare Pokémon that is able to evolve into multiple Pokémon depending on stimuli."
"Extremely rare, huh?" I asked no one in particular, "Rizado, don't screw this up."
Rizado struggled over to me, nearly passing out on the spot.
"Rizado, use Flamethrower," Rizado opened its mouth, shooting a Flamethrower at the Ibui. Ibui was able to dodge it. Then I remembered what Kyo-sama had told me. An Ibui is able to transform into any Pokémon depending on 'stimuli', or any stone I may have. But the picture on the Pokémon Zukan, and what the Pokémon actually looked like, was completely different color-wise. I didn't really know why, but I was even more determined to catch it now.

Ibui ran at Rizado, using Quick Attack.
"Rizado, Metal Claw," Rizado's paw started to glow a bright white before slashing the Ibui across the face. Ibui flew backwards and hit the ground hard. It was my chance to throw a Monster Ball at it.

"Monster Ball, Capture," I casually tossed my ball at the Ibui. Ibui immediately went in and, after a few side to side motions, stayed in the ball. I walked over and picked it up, scanning it with my Pokémon Zukan. As usual, I checked the moves and the stats of my newly caught Pokémon. Its stats looked fairly decent, and it knew Tackle, Quick Attack, and Take Down.

Rude, huh? Now this is Nareta when she was older. About 11 through 13:

As I waited for my three Pokémon to heal, I had a bit of a conversation with Fushigiso, Yamikarasu, and Gorudakku.

"And he acts like we're not friends now, y'know?" I asked them, rhetorically, "not only that, but he feels the need to pretend that we've never even met!" Gorudakku and Fushigiso gave me a sad look.

"Ya! Yami, Yami!" Yamikarasu flapped his wings, landing on me shoulder.
"Yamikarasu, if you're trying to tell me to forget about him and move on, I can't do that. I've already tried that, and you remember my second gym battle," I stated. Yamikarasu hadn't joined the team until after I received the Wing Badge.

"Goldu!" Gorudakku seemed to agree with Yamikarasu. Fushigiso, however, seemed more concerned about my feelings, rather than me just hanging around a boy like Yamikarasu and Gorudakku. I knew Yamikarasu was just being his protective self and Gorudakku was more interested in me than being protective. Fushigiso lifted a vine up to me, gently and comfortingly caressing the left side of my face. I got into the fetal position on the chair, sitting myself up on my feet and leaning my back against the chair.

"So. ." Fushigiso sighed sadly, jumping onto the chair to my right. Gorudakku took a seat in the chair on my left, while Yamikarasu stayed on my left shoulder.

"Nareta! Your Pokémon are all better," Nurse Joy walked up to the front desk.
"Ah, thank you very much," I said, trying not to hint any sadness in my voice, especially since Raichu was now looking at me. I stood up, Yamikarasu still on my shoulder, and got my Monster Balls from Nurse Joy.

I placed them in my pockets, getting out the other three, and returned Fushigiso and Gorudakku while I asked Nurse Joy for a room key.

"Yes, Nareta, you may have one. Oh! And look at this. It's the last one, too," Nurse Joy gave me the last key.

"I appreciate it, Joy-san," I smiled, taking the key that was to Room 45. Right before I returned Yamikarasu, I heard someone walk in through the front doors. It was pretty late at night, so they must have been coming in for a room.

Now, nice, huh? This is a part of my story when Nareta was about 14. She was living with Reiji, keeping Shinji there as well. Reading my story, it would make a lot more sense, but since it's not finished, excerpts are all you people are getting.

I seemed lost and confused. Was I in love? Or was I feigning it? My mind couldn't place its thought on the boy I wasn't sure I loved at all. Perhaps it was lust. Lust for that boy he so proudly shows when we go to the beach. Lust for the delicious, get-out-of-my-face attitude. Lust for even the exciting way he looks at me with those eyes. Those eyes that were as cold as ice to others, melting away as they saw me.

I was proud to be his friend, but I wanted to be proud to be his lover . . . No. . I wasn't sure what I wanted. It was all a lie. A lie to myself and a lie to him. I try to hide it, like I try to hide many things. Things like my lust for his brother. Things like my greed, my envy, my pride, my wrath, my lust. . What sin am I not committed of right down to a tee? I knew for a fact that I was a sufferer. A sufferer of sins, of lies, and of everything that had gone on in my pathetic life.

My life which has no meaning. . No soul. What was I really here for? Was it just to be alive? Just because my heart is beating, it doesn't mean I'm alive. It simply means I can function. To be without a heart is the same as to be with a heart. A cold heart that is melted away by the boy's stare.

Still, I can never figure out the difference between lust and love. Was love simply lust? No, love had these 'feelings' people speak of. I couldn't see the difference, both lust and love have certain feelings about them that I just couldn't differenciate from the other. If I can't figure out what the difference between lust and love is, how will I ever know if I love this boy?

Also this:

I held onto Reiji as I felt like my life was crumbling around me. I just wanted him to tell me he loved me, but he refuses because he doesn't want to hurt my feelings. However, I still felt hurt. If he didn't want to and he wasn't sure, he should've never started this whole mess with me. I felt hurt and betrayed.

"I hate you. ." I muttered into his chest. He didn't seem to hear me clearly. Either that, or he didn't want to believe what he just heard come out of my mouth. But it was true. I hate him.

"I hate you!" I yelled as my tears rushed faster down my face. I began to cry harder and harder, feeling like it was my only refuge. Why couldn't he just tell me he loves me?

There are also plenty of mind-rapish moments that will not be looked into right here. I've gotten plenty of my inspiration from Neon Genesis Evangelion, the most fucked up anime ever.

SL, is Nareta, by any chance, inspired by Shinji?

Actually, I made Nareta before Diamond and Pearl ever came out. I found it odd. . O.O No lie, I'm dead serious.

Afraod of closed and wide open spaces? Is this person always afraid?

I didn't elaborate on that one well. When I say 'wide-open spaces', I mean spaces that look like a fricken' void with no furniture no nothing. That kind of thing.

Why in the WORLD would you create a thread for your character, who appears in your fic? Why not have the discussion THERE? Seriously, no one wants to read about ONLY your OC with no fic around her.
