A Legendary Spirit: Book One (PG-13)

Prologue
“Help me, don’t let them take me!” screamed a female voice.

A young man ran after her as she was dragged away from him.

The same boy opened his eyes, he was in bed. A small tear fell from his deep blue eyes.

“I’ll find you, I promise.” He said.

He looked at the clock, it read 4:45 AM. Thinking that it would be pointless to go back to sleep he got up. His short cut, dirty blond hair was slightly unkempt. He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. He walked out of the room quietly as not to wake the person sleeping in the bed three feet away from his. He opened a drawer and took out a notepad and a pen and jotted something down on it.

Dillon I’m done waiting, I’m taking Nick and
we are going to find Candice and Mabel
It’s too dangerous for our families if we stay anyway.
Tanner

He left the notepad on his bed, put on his belt and grabbed four metallic red and white spheres. He quietly snuck through the hallway and walked to his front door. He released a pokemon from one of his pokeballs. It was a bipedal blue pokemon with a large red bulge on its throat.

“Toxi!”

“Shh, when I open the door I need you to use poison jab on the two cops outside, nothing too strong, just enough to knock them out for an hour or two.” Tanner explained to his toxicroak.

Toxicroak nodded and Tanner opened the door and the toxic mouth pokemon’s hands glowed a dark purple and he punched the two police officers guarding the door. They keeled over and passed out.

“Sorry.” Tanner apologized quietly as he ran to his truck. He returned his toxicroak to his pokeball and drove off.

Chapter 1: Out Runnin' The Po-Po

A young man sat awake in his bed; he had short well groomed brown hair and was wearing a black t-shirt and matching jeans. He heard his Pokegear vibrate on his desk.

“Who the hell could be calling me now!?” He asked himself, “Tanner?”

He answered the phone but before he could say anything Tanner spoke.

“Nick were going to find them meet me outside your house I’m pulling up now.” Tanner commanded.

“Okay.” Nick replied.

He opened his window and climbed out into a bush. The cops that were supposed to guard the house were asleep but woke up when they heard Tanner pull up. The rushed to the truck but not soon enough Nick already climbed in the bed of the truck and Tanner peeled out of the driveway. Nick held on to the tailgate as the officers shot at the truck. After a few rounds of ammunition was fired they got into their squad car and raced after them with sirens blaring. Tanner opened the sunroof and Nick climbed through the top and into the passenger seat.

“You have your pokemon right?” Tanner asked.

“Yeah.” Nick answered

Tanner put his foot to the gas pedal and they sped off. The cops kept up at a good pace and pulled up alongside them to the left. The cops rolled down the window and pulled out a handgun and pointed it at Tanner’s tires.

“Speed up!” Nick shouted

Nick released his through the sunroof and commanded it to use swift on the cop’s tires. The flying pokemon released a barrage of stars that cut right through the squad car’s back tires causing the car to spin out. Nick recalled his skarmory and Tanner drove off.

“Alright, where are we going?” Nick asked

“First we are going to William Mark’s house, he’s let me borrow his Mustang so we have a more badass car while we go off on this crusade.” Tanner explained, “After that we are going to Ecruteak City.”

“Ecruteak, oh cause that’s where Lugia and Ho-oh used to reside?” Nick interrupted.

“Exactly, I figure that’s the best place to start.” Tanner continued.

“That place will be swarming with Rockets though.” Nick warned

“I know, we have to be careful.” Tanner responded.
