Another Drabble (Still not Pokemon)
Again, dunno if I'll continue this. Probably will, since the plot interests me enough.
Darkness. That was the first noticable thing. It was so dark. Even the stars and moon didn't seem to want to shine tonight, so any light from them was weak at best. It was also cold. Not unbelievably so, but it was not a night to go out wearing shorts and a t-shirt. There was no wind nor mist, and the air was completely still. No sounds echoed, not even crickets chirping. It seemed that no one wanted to be out tonight.
Something cut through the air, and with the silence so complete it sounded like a gunshot. A footstep, crunching over the hard, cracked earth. The footsteps were steady, constant, in perfect timing. Someone was walking purposefully, it seemed. Each footstep sounded heavy, like this person was trudging or stomping. And if someone happened to be listening, they would surely hear the emotion in such a simple thing. This person was angry.
Yoshimitsu was marching across the wasteland, his face set with either anger or... was that sadness? Each footstep was so forceful that it seemed to make the ground shake. He shook a few strands of blue hair from his face, his hair lacking its usual gravity defying quality. It seemed almost limp, lifeless. His clothes were not neat either, both his plain black t-shirt and his casual-fit jeans creased up and worn looking. Something was wrong with Yoshimitsu tonight.
Suddenly, his pace slowed down until he came to a complete stop. He was looking round, lost and unsure as to how he came to be in this wasteland. No, that wasn't it. That wasn't it at all. He was looking round to make sure he was alone.
"No one around... All alone..." He thought to himself, his hands balled up into fists at his sides. "No one around to see me. No one to suffer this."
With a flash of light, Yoshimitsu's hair sparked into gold and he shot into the sky. Just how much power he had was amazing, as he shone, a beacon against the black sky. His aura was flaring around him, pure white and burning bright. Even the weather could sense something was wrong, as stormclouds rolled in, pushed by force-ten gales. All of his pent up emotion was coming out. He was about to work off all of the emotion that had built up and threatened to overwhelm him.
And it wasn't going to be pretty.
With another flash, Yoshimitsu's aura exploded outwards, illuminating the area before it scorched the land. At that exact moment, the clouds flashed and rain fell down on the area, thunder rumbling ominously. Yoshimitsu threw out both of his arms, his hands glowing violently bright before he blasted two massive beams down at the ground. He twisted in the air and threw a ball of white fire down, then shot straight up into the clouds. He could feel the rain on his face and his arms, and he was loving it. The brutality of nature attacking him.
The electricity in the storm captured him, entranced him as he weaved his next attack. He summoned electricity in his palms and immediately the thunderstorm flowed to him, drawn to the similar energy. With a mighty thrust, he threw his palms down and fired all that energy out of the clouds and at the ground, where it exploded violently. Yoshimitsu frowned. It should not have exploded. Quickly, he dropped straight to the ground, slowing only as soon as he was ten foot from the ground.
Vincent was stood there.
"Nice night for it, I guess," he commented casually. Yoshimitsu noticed that Vincent had two swords on him.
"What are you doing here?" Yoshimitsu demanded.
"Well, I dunno, you disappeared earlier without telling anyone and you didn't expect me to be worried about you?" Vincent replied, sounding almost surprised but mostly sarcastic. Yoshimitsu turned away.
"Vince, of all people... I didn't want you to see me... not like this," Yoshimitsu said.
"Well, why not? Yosh, I thought you knew you could talk to me," Vincent replied, sounding hurt.
"It's not like that," Yoshimitsu said, and suddenly his voice sounded cold.
"Then what's it like?" Vincent asked. "Yoshi, you know I'm here for you. Just talk to me."
"No, Vince, it's not like that. I can't just talk about it. I can't even fucking do anything about it," Yoshimitsu replied. "This is how I deal with things, Vince."
"Deal with what, Yosh?" Vincent asked.
"Everything," Yoshimitsu said. "I can't just sit and think things through, I have so much emotion building up inside of me, this is the only way I can work it off."
"Yosh, just talk to me-"
Vincent was cut off by Yoshimitsu's sword being held to his throat.
"Vince, you don't understand. I can't talk about it," Yoshimitsu snapped.
"You want to rage?" Vincent asked. "Fine. Rage at me. I can take it."
"Vince, don't say that," Yoshimitsu said, his hand shaking.
"Because I will."
"So do it."
Vincent jumped back and pulled out both of his swords, quickly assuming a defensive stance. Yoshimitsu frowned, concentrating, and a beam of flames shot from the air in front of him. Vincent quickly spun to the side, but Yoshimitsu was already attacking again, lunging at Vincent and bringing his sword down vertically. With both swords held above his head, Yoshimitsu couldn't break through Vincent's defense. Instead, the blue-haired teenager threw himself into a drop kick, but Vincent had already moved, jumping back again so that Yoshimitsu missed.

i'm wide awake
This seems pretty good; not as good as your first drabble, but still good nonetheless. I only saw one thing wrong.
I think that's supposed to be "Vincent just stood there." It doesn't make much sense any other way. xD

Idk, that phrase makes grammatical sense. As far as descriptive sense goes, well - it doesn't make it sound like Vincent was expecting the attack, nor does it seem like he required a massive amount of power to deflect the attack, which is what I was aiming for.
I need to post their backstory somewhere to explain this, I feel.
