Well, this is Pearl, but, I couldn't find my way to Sandgem Town. You know that patch of grass to the right? I never thought of stepping over there. It took a couple of minutes before I found it.
-That shiny Dewgong are white, not tinted blue. It wasn't until a few years later did I figure it out. Now my Pokemon life is dedicated to Dewgong. I git sick of Empoleon. ^^
-In FireRed, I couldn't figure out how to get into the Poke Balls pocket. I was SO freaking angry.
-In Diamond, I couldn't find the room key for the lady in Valor Lakefront. I thought the item in the bushes on the right of her suite was Rock Climb,so I was freaking out in the hotel lobby looking for her room key becase I thought I could open the "side door" of her suite to obtain "Rock Climb" which turned out to be TM Dream Eater.

I thought that there wasn't a Water-type version of Icebeam/Thunderbolt/Flamethrower (95 basepower) until a few months ago, which I found out Surf was the counterpart
On my first run through Crystal the egg that the daycare man gave me had a shiny Igglybuff with Green eyes+swirl (rather than red). I restarted it after a few months after I beat the game and never received a shiny from it since (And there's a 50% chance it would be)
Not really one, but in Crystal I was in Dark Cave I think it's called and I encountered a shiny Geodude.....that killed itself before I could do ANYTHING DX
One of my plays through Blue, I found that my Ratatta was weak and raised it. It was around lvl 41-51 and when I got to Gary/Blue/Green for the 2nd time before the League, Wartortle was only at lvl 25, and Alakazam's thunder kept preventing my Raticate from winning D<
Another time through Blue I encountered a Magmar in the Burned building and caught it with my Master Ball :\
I also spend a bit on wondering how you could get around Bill's house to go through the little path behind his house, only to give up since there was no way
Then also only a few months ago did I learn of Ice's weakness to Steel,Rock, and Fighting, along with the fact that Aerodactyl was weak to Rock as well
mine's just sad, I just figured out the damage multiplier (such as Pikachu w/ Light Ball+Electric Attack+Enemy Gyrados= 24x base power). Also Red's lv81 Pikachu is OHKO'd by a lv61 Typhlosion that used Flamethrower while holding Charcoal. Finally lv100 Mewtwo with 407 Special Attack, Tail Glow used twice and Mindplate equals uber lethal Psychic.
my silliest mistake (and is still going on) is that i can't find the tea in my red version. i found it in leaf green, but i can't find it in red

I remember the first time I played Blue, I NEVER caught a Pokémon until the Magikarp Salesman Magikarp. Then I reset the game entirely because I knew I was doing something wrong.

Only just found out in Platinum you can move multiple Pokemon at once by pressing Y than A + drag. -_-
