It does look a little odd. Then again, I didn't really find it offensive when playing Pokemon Yellow, since the front sprite was much better.

Green Pokémon:

Bulbasaur: Looks fine, cept it has round ears
Ivysaur: Rounder ears and the flower bud looks too high up
Venusaur: Looks squashed down by the Flower, which is also too high up
Charmander: Has a weird nose
Charmeleon: Has a weirder nose and the body isn't the right shape
Charizard: has a badly done tail, looks like it's wings are deflated and is eating fire O_o
Squirtle: looks fine
Wartortle: looks ok
Blastoise: It's shell looks like it was Copy and pasted on
Caterpie: a bit deformed
Metapod: looks fine
Butterfree: Wings are weird looking
Weedle: looks ok
Kakuna: Thank god that the Pokémon Red/Blue Sprite was the only one with Arms
Beedrill: Looks like it has a growth on one side
Pidgey: has odd side bits on its head
Pidgeotto: I like this Pudgeotto
Pidgeot: Personally I like the Red/Blue sprite more
Rattata: looks fine
Raticate: looks fine
Spearow: Looks ugly :(
Fearow: looks ok
Ekans: is too small
Arbok: head looks smaller than it should... otherwise looks fine
Pikachu: draker tummy and is too fat
Raichu: too fat
Sandshrew: is a bit... odd looking
Sandslash: looks squashed
Nidoran F: has a bit too many spots
Nidorina: is ok
Nidoqueen: Looks REALLY squashed
Nidoran M: looks okish
Nidorino: is ok
Nidoking: looks squashed, but not as much as Nidoqueen
Clefairy: Has an odd looking leg
Clefable: Looks A-OK
Vulpix: only has 5 tails instead of 6 and only has 2 head quifs instead of 3
Ninetales: Tails look too small and it looks like it is smoking
Jigglupuff: Looks fat and ugly!
Wigglytuff: Looks fat and ugly! The portraite for it in MD looks like this O_o
Zubat: The classic looking Zubat
Golbat: looks fine
Oddish: Has odd leaves
Gloom: Flower is too small
Vileplume: Just looks wrong
Paras: What a cool looking Paras! :O
Parasect: For a Pokémon that takes up that much space, it doesn't look squashed at all
Venomoth: Has a fat Torso

Poliwhirl was suddenly changed to having a mitten in FR/LG. Before that, his hand had individual digits, but from FR/LG on he just has gloves.

Weird, eh? Does he have fingers in art/anime? Can't remember.

Why does the D/P Wobbuffet have lipstick on?

The Emerald Mudkip just looks wrong to me. Those eyes.... they creep me out.

mew in green is like the weirdest thing evevr plus those huanter eyes in the old versin just scare me... mew in green looks like two things

1. it has a lump on its head like a creepy brain or sumn

2. it look like its bone in its head is gonna blow up 0.0

In sorry i dont have the sprite pics on thepost but just remember the good old days of pokemon. You may not know this one (its from poke mon green it was only in japan) But in green the gengars sprite is so disproportioned it makes mew feel dizzy. I mean its eyes are as big as its arm so if your familliar with this disgrace to pokemon please post it to let others know it

I know this is for bad sprites but i think that dewgong in yellow is the most cuddly adorable pokemon ever ina ll the other games it looks slightly off but yellow hit it right on the nose

Gengar also looks hideous in Red and Blue, so does Haunter. The only games I know where Haunter looks absolutely PERFECT is Yellow, Firered and Leafgreen, and Diamond and Pearl. Gengar looks really good in all the later games, from Yellow and Gold and Silver to the new-generation games like Diamond and Pearl, too.

I think that gengar in blue looked like it had clawsand was raking an invisible foe other than that it looked like all other gengars i think
