I never liked the legenary birds that much, maybe it was because of this:

I'd have to say mew in the Japanese release of pokémon green, the thing looks like some sort of foetus, it's horrid.

Well, most first gen sprites.

Some of the Gen. III sprites make me sad. Especially ones from R/S/E, those games had some pretty horrible spritees.

True, Mew was ugly in Green and the Japanese Red version, though it luckily improved in the English release.

I think that Morimoto-san may have sprited that Mew himself...

Poliwrath has had terrible sprites, except the Red/Green sprite. Everyone says it looks terrible, but I think it's awesome. It looks like Poliwhirl in all the ways it should, but not in the ways it shouldn't. XD

However, Koffing's R/B sprite is terrible.

I'd say the Golbat Sprite

iv allwese hated the r/s/e geodude sprit i dont know why but i just do!

Personally, I don't think we should criticise the Red/Green sprites as much as we do. They had huge limitations on palettes and pixel count, as well as having no previous sprites to base things off of.
