Thread: Starter Pics? (seriously, look)

Hey, who knows, perhaps there are two sets of three starters.

Interesting concept. Say, FWG for Diamond and PFD for Pearl? That would certianly spice things up quite a bit.

And I really adore these, even though I'm dubious about them. Especially the Kangaroo. And yes, I suspect Kangaroo = Fighting, Triceratops = Psychic, and kitty = Dark was the intent, even if they're fake.

Certainly, they look far more adorable than the descriptions of the traditionally-themed three we've been given. (Well, except the penguin. I would really like a penguin.)

Another possibility, going along those lines, is that the player gets two starter Pokémon... though that might just make things too easy.

Here's some other ideas:
1. You choose two starters. One from the FWG group and one from the PFD group.
2. In one game you choose from FWG and you can find the PFD in the grass or obtain one through an event. It would be the opposite in the other game.
3. You can choose from either the PFD or the FWG starters. You get to choose which group you choose from.

Types of Starters AND numbers of starters were both called into question about this time last year when Masuda said he'd like to shake the Starter system up.

So I'd say 2 sets isn't a screaming impossibility.

Though I wouldn't bet on it right now to be honest.

And just because someone posted a single image of the 'roo doesn't mean that they drew the other pic. It looks alot diffrent in the style (more clean and non Sugimori style)

As for secondary types for these guys...I could see the dino becoming Psychic/Steel. The cat looks like it might stay pure Dark...the Kangaroo could become Fighting/Ice, as suggested by the white and blue colors. But that still is pretty unlikely.

I'm starting to think the kangaroo could eventually become Lucario.

Heh, who would've guess Lucario could be an Aussie?

But the Kanga doesn't look anything like Lucario....I think Lucario is based off a dog. They don't even have similar colors.

They may be just saying their opinion, not saying they made it.

Nothing important, I guess (I speak Spanish, a little similar to French, and use the Babylon translator as well, and common sense).

Two sets of starters seems to be a nice possibility, but nothing points in such a direction until now. What Masuda said a year ago could refer to the changes of types as well.

Dang, now that I think about it, jolie is "nice," so you're probably right about that, Habunake.
