I was recently traded a Zapdos with a birthday of 8/18/2000 (which means it was captured in either a gen I or gen II game). I got this on the Nintendo WFC on Pokemon White. I always was told trading or migrating Pokemon from gen II to gen III was impossible. So, how did this Zapdos make is all the way to the WFC?
I've been doing some research about it for an infographic I am making (will be posting that once I have it completed enough for critiques and feedback). Could you trade from gen I/II to gen III using a Game Boy Player and link cables? Or could it have been traded from gen I/II to III using an emulator or other sketchy hacker ways?
Any input is greatly appreciated!
You can't trade between gen 2 and future gens, so it will be either a hacked Pokemon or the DS date was set in 2000, giving the appearance that it was caught in 2000, despite the real year.

I'm replaying FireRed again, going for another "Themed" run (and ditching my Starter). The theme for this run is... Sierra On-Line games! I have about half of my team already decided: Raticate (Thief/Brigand, Quest For Glory), Arcanine (Sonny Bonds, Police Quest), and Arbok (King's Quest? Laura Bow II?). What should I get for Gabriel Knight, Space Quest (Farfetch'd?) and possibly either Laura Bow or Conquests of the Longbow/Conquests of Camelot?
A long time ago, when I brought my Blaziken over from Emerald to Diamond, it had Pokerus, but it was cured. It might be me having a foggy memory, but I don't remember my Blaziken getting Pokerus at all. How did it happen?
When a Pokemon on your team battles a wild Pokemon that has PokeRus your Pokemon can get infected with it.
Did you choose to take it at the Tree of Dreams and give a berry to take it back to Entralink with you? If so it should be in Entrlink when you wake up your Pokemon from the Dream World. You can usually only take one Pokemon back with you at a time per Dream World session, the only time I've been able to take back two is if you get a Pokemon from a Dream World event, then you can take that Pokemon and another you befriend.
Shuppet. Wow, that is annoying for sure. I befriended five Pokémon in total, so that means I'm going to have to wait FIVE DAYS to have them all in my game?!
I really hope Nintendo gets rid of all this Dream World bullshit for the next games... It's not even fun.
