Thread: Pokemon Yellow: Bulbasaur help

How do I get Bulbasaur from that lady? I've completed nugget bridge, seen bill, beaten misty, and beaten the rocket that had dig. I have an empty space in my team, and Pikachu bounces whenever i talk to it. She still won't give it to me. What am I doing wrong?

I've always had a problem with this for some reason. I can remember playing the game when I was a lot younger and getting bulbasaur only half of the time.

I think it has more to do with Pikachu's happiness than anything.

I've got a walkthrough up, it says you should get it if your Pikachu is happy. You in Cerulean?

yeah, I'm in cerulean.
Right now it bounces and says pikapika and does ^_^
Do I need to get it to do something else?

Give it a potion and then talk to the lady who gives you Bulbasaur again. It'll make Pikachu a stage happier temporarily, IIRC.

Thanks! I "gave" it a couple potions, and then she let me have it. :)
