Post what you think the 5th gen games will be called?

The last three Generations have been following a trend of using minerals and gems. It wouldn't be a stretch for the next Generation to be Pokémon Quartz and Amethyst. I'm hoping for Pokémon Lapis Lazuli.

There are a lot of other places that they could take it, though. To further agitate the male fanbase, I would love to see Pokémon Rose and Violet.

The ruby, sapphire, emerald, diamond and pearl are all birthstones, so I'm sort of expecting quartz and amethyst to be next. Honestly, though, I hope that they're not. I would like to see something a bit different in the next Generation, and a new naming scheme could signify that. I enjoyed Diamond very much (and still am), but when you get right down to it, it's quite the same as it always has been: You're a kid with a Pokédex who wants to be a Pokémon Master and has to deal with some obligatory villainous team or another. I'd like to at least see a group of antagonists that aren't a 'Team', or perhaps don't even get along with each other. They could just be trainers, possibly accompanied by their friends/underlings (Seifer, Raijin and Fujin from Final Fantasy VIII come to mind), that use unacceptable means to capture Pokémon (traps, possibly, or stealing from other trainers) and seek power in the form of whatever legendary trio there is that time around. If several of those groups existed with some being allies to the player character and others being enemies, I think that it would make for an interesting story.

I think the bigger problem with the 5th gen is how they're going to top the whole "space" thing from D/P. They're created legendaries that now pretty much control time, space, and the existance of Pokemon. Each gen the legends have become more and more powerful, with this gens legends controlling existance itself.

How do you create legendaries that go above even that?

Maybe they could a bit more Biblical? A Noah water Type Legend, maybe a Jesus Psychic type (assuming that's not already Mew), or maybe even Mary and Joseph Ghost type legendaries.

They might also be able to go into other religions for legends in future generations. That's alot of material.

Vishnu style legendary? Yes please, let it smite other legendaries with it's many many hands.

That would open a HUGE can of worms (wurmples?) so...I want to see it done.

Creating the universe seems like an awfully nice thing for Arceus to do, so I don't imagine that he's a very bad guy. Where does all of the evil in the world come from, then? How about Pandorite, the Pandora Pokémon? (Cue dramatic fanfare.)

They don't need to "top" it. I for instance, certainly didn't think Ho-Oh "topped" Mewtwo.

Anyways, I can think of tons of legendary creatures or mythical figures to base more Pokemon on. An Amaterasu sun-based Legendary Pokemon would be fun, for instance. Or Thor, in Pokemon form. : p

I'd like to see some sort of huge dino type legendary like T-rex! No idea why, just think it could be cool!
