Pokémon Yellow: "The file data is destroyed!"
Yesterday, while reliving Yellow Version, I fumbled my Game Boy. I was sitting on my bed, and my Game Boy fell a good 25cm, flat onto my lap. No problem. I picked it up and continued playing.
When I was done, I saved the game. As usual, just to be safe, I waited several seconds after the "saving the game" message had disappeared before I turned off the Game Boy.
Well now, I am receiving this error message: The file data is destroyed!
From what I have read online, this is the result of an incorrect checksum.
Does anyone know of a way to get around this problem, without starting anew? Is there any easy way to bypass the checksum? Or perhaps, to correct it myself?
A year ago, I replaced the cartridge's battery. My only thought is that the fall momentarily caused the battery to become disconnected. But still, everything seemed fine during the hour that I played after my little fumble.

You have to start new, sorry, I think it's because of a loose connection.
