Thread: Which one was cooler?

I didn't really play either of them, but if I were to play them someday I would pick Blue. Not only do I like the color better, but I like Blastoise better too.

I think Red version was cooler. The cartridge was red, and that's a great color. It also had a cool Pokemon on the cover (Charizard).

Pokémon Red version was the first Pokémon game I ever onwed, so it gets my vote. Otherwise, I have no opinion on this.

Pokemon Red.

Not because of Charizard (seriously, I'll never understand the love), but because of Arcanine. I don't care if its sprite was so derp, its still cool.

I chose Red simply because it was my first pokemon game ever and started my pokemon addiction rofl :3

Red version was the best, mainly because I preferred the version exclusives (or, more specifically, I hated Bellsprout).

Sorry, red= charizard. therefore, its the better of the 2. (IMO)

They're the same damn game.

For the record, my first game was Blue, because blue was my favorite color. But for every one of the many times I've played it through, I've chosen Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard. Because Charizard is the better Pokémon. So, it's not like the mascot matters. You're not looking at the cartridge when you're playing, are you?

As Vulpes put it, they're pretty much the same, with the exception of some version exclusives... which didn't really matter to me back then and still don't.

But if I had to pick, it would be Blue. Since Blue is pretty much the Japanese Green, and Green and Blue are some of my more favorite colors. But mostly green. Mascots don't matter much to me, since the mascots back then were the starter Pokemon, which you had a choice. It's not like you HAD to choose a Charmander for Red version.

I would say Blue because thats the version I have. And it still works :D
