It's sad, but http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/www.pokemon-games.com, the official Ru/Sa site has a list of Traits and the positive and negative effects of each. I'd link directly to the Traits page, but not only is it a downloadable file, but the main site opens up in a pop up window with no address bar.

Thanks for the bit about the fans and interviews. And I already knew about the interviews being televised and traded with friends... I check the telly often in hopes to catch a rooftop sale.

I do have another question though, about the Loto. What are the prize(s) for matching numbers?

    HT, GM, Thanks.

I couldn't find the list on pokemon's site though (pokemon-games.com), they have way too much stuff there now..., but thanks a lot. Lol, I just asked this because last night I caught 20+ sandshrew aand it started to sap all my money, and there still wasn't any with a great seed and personality. (THe best I found was Impish lv16, had high stats and stuff, but impish...^^;; (pictures an evil mischievous ninja... naruto... ^^;; I do not want a naruto sandshrew)

    Oh yeah, one more question:

Exactly how rare are jigglypuff in this game!?

I don't recall runing into one in the japanese one and I went up and down route 114 yesterday and ran into 0. (I want azuril!)

One: Where is the rod after the Good Rod? Memory fails me in trying to think of the actual name.

Two: Where can you get Timer Balls?

As soon as you surf west of the electric gym town towards Route 119, talk to the sailor on the other side of the water. (Basically the place you have to Surf as soon as you get Surf to progress.)

Timer Balls are rare and I don't think they can be bought. I don't know the exact locations of them.

The Super Rod (the one after the Good Rod) can be found on Mossdeep in one of the houses (I forget the exact one).

And Timer Balls can be bought in Rustboro after you break through the rocks in Rusturf Tunnel and talk to the Devon Corp. guy waiting on the other side.

Sorry to double post, but since this has absolutely nothing to do with my last post, I think you guys'll understand.

But I have three questions (well, one's more of an observation), but:

    1. I first got to Route 119 a couple of days ago and it was raining. That's not the observation though. See, the boundaries of the rain extended past Route 119, and changed every few hours, or every day (I forget which), and today (I think I got there on Friday) it stopped raining entirely. Now does anyone know if this is a weekly occurance, if something triggers it, or if it's completely random?

    2. I've noticed a lot of people talking about sales happening at Lilycove, and them seeing it on TVs. Do you have to defeat the Elite 4 to gain access to the sales, or is it just a random occurance?

    3. In the berry master's house, there's a woman (I think it's his wife...but that's not important) who will give you a berry if you tell her a catch phrase. Now, does anyone know if this has any connection to the house in Dewford, and if so, what happens if you synchronize the phrases?

I understand and accept it. I'll let it go.

I've noticed that too. It has something to do with that Weather Institute... maybe someone should drag a Castform to Rt.119 and see if that affects the weather there when you bring it back. I also noticed that with the area on Rt.120... it seems to be almost a perfect circle around the trainer with Castform.

I really shouldn't talk, but because I haven't seen it and have yet to beat the E4, I believe it comes after.

I assume it's just for fun. I got a Cornn Berry for just putting in "NOSEPASS TRAINER" so...

I have read that you don't have to beat the E4 to get the ads, but the personal experiences of friends and myself is that it only happens after you become the Champion. It could also be that we went through the game rather quickly though. *shrugs*

The television ads are really neat, I've gotten four so far.

    A question added in-

When you talk to the Berry Master's Wife she asks you for a phrase everyday. What phrases can you tell her that she finds to be 'Inspirational' and rewards you with rare berries?

The only one I know of is 'Cool Latios'. Any others?

I just purchased the game last Sunday, and I'm in Mauville City. I've been trying to raise my pokemon evenly, but I'm still finding it difficult to defeat enemies, because I lack balance. I can't find any pokemon of many different types. I need a decent fire and electric pokemon, but I'm having trouble finding any. Does anyone know of any good pokemon that can be found at the beginning of the game?

For electric pokemon check the grass above Slateport and on the low road (route 110). You'll find Electrike (evolves into Manectric), a rather good choice. There's also Plusle/Minun in the same area.

There isn't much choice for fire types, snoop around the Fiery Path for pokemon. Slugma, Torkoal, and Numel are there. I'd go with Numel, but it's your decision.

Other good early picks are Aron (found in the cave at Dewford) and Ralts (same area as Wally's). I'm sure others will have some ideas as well.

    1. when a pokemon has 2 abilities, how do you see the second? (like on Trapinch, only his anti-attraction ability appears, but he has another that stops switching)

    2. does theif always steal an item if the opponent is holding one? (I've been theifing Bagon for half an hour with no luck)

I don't think there is really any basis behind what you put. I think the berries given out are just random, and the phrase means nothing, but I plan on doing more research into this.

You get ONE ability. It's either/or. Not both. NEVER both.

    2. does theif always steal an item if the opponent is holding one? (I've been theifing Bagon for half an hour with no luck)
    Not always, but usually.

It's on Route 115, not 114. Go to Rustboro, head north and onto the beach on Route 115. Surf north, past a second beach, then past some rocks to a third beach. In an area above this beach full of trees and base locations you can find some grass - Jiggly's are in there. They're more common at night.

    I didn't think time had an effect on Pokemon that can be found. I found a bunch during the day. ^_^;
