You can catch them if they're the first monster you see in an area.

The only two set rules for the Challenge are "release Pokemon that faint" and "catch the first Pokemon you see in an area; if it faints, you can't go after another in that same area."

Well, my origonal plan was to fight and kill him, but he 1hkoed my strongest pokemon, so i said "Well screw that"

If i wasn't such a sentemental bastard i'd be using the Hariyama i caught in victory road, because fighting destroys 3/5 of them, but i am, so....screw you.

I've only ever done one Nuzlocke run. I'm not going to be doing another one for a long time.
Things were all good for the most part. I lost Concorde the Pidgey and Bruce the Zubat pretty quick, which was disapointing.
I fell in love with Sting, the most awesome Beedrill of all time.
Got my second badge, all seems to be going well.
And that's when it happened.
The fight with Blue on Nugget bridge.... It was a masacre.... :'( I blogged the whole thing

I just started the Emerald Nuzlocke Challenge, first pokemon to die was my level 7 Mighty, the Poochyena :(

So I tried again and at route 102 first pokemon I find is RALTS <3
